Honestly this is a fresh new take on furniture and interior that I was never exposed to! Your IKEA drawer up-cycling video is fire as well. Plenty of stuff for me to think about :) Thank you! The whole IKEA makeover actually started something in my head. As we know, ikea is one of those places that is very affordable to most people, problem is that it's not that long lasting or very good quality. Having said that, I would rather experiment with a £60 chest of drawers, rather than a vintage £300 one (both for the price but also don't really want to ruin something that managed to survive up until now). And especially now, when IKEA does not have stock of at least half of its catalogue, it will be good to just modify what you have, rather than get rid and buy new. In addition you seem to be saying, that we should not settle for what we can afford or what is available to us. You can customise anything, or put together an item, which will be the thing we actually want and also stand out in a sea of the same stuff everywhere.
Exactly! I think sometimes it’s nice to buy new and sometimes it is nice to upcycle/get creative and MAKE! I know it brings me joy personally and it’s also a feel good that I’ve been able to recycle and be more sustainable.
Oh I really want to make one of these mirrors! We are renovating atm so love these types of videos! The one thing I find soo hard to film is projects like this, when I get that energy to be creative I just have to crack on land forget to set the camera up lol!!!

Had to use short screws with a thick thread. Also used gripfill adhesive to stick it on first then went in with the screws! I’d suggest putting the french cleat in first though!

It was fine not fixed (I don’t have small kids/animals around) but I fixed it anyway using mounting clips 😃
