On May 12th, David Yadgir, a US citizen, passed away in Poltava, Ukraine - leaving behind his wife and their three young daughters. A native of the United States, the circumstances that brought David to Ukraine were quite remarkable. After losing his first wife to cancer mere months after also losing their daughter to cancer, David had found himself in a very dark place. Intending to live out the remainder of his days alone, his adult children encouraged him to experience life once again. This led David to Poltava, Ukraine in 2018 - where he traveled with a group tour of single foreign men. While most men on the tour were interested in meeting Ukrainian women for serious relationships, David had only decided to attend because he knew he would feel comfortable traveling with other single men rather than with couples. David only intended to see the sights of Ukraine and forgo any of the activities related to meeting single women while in the country. At the suggestion of the tour organizers, David decided he would attend one of the group mixers, where he would meet his future wife Nina. Nina had also experienced loss that previous year, with the passing of her first husband to the same exact cancer that claimed the life of David's first wife. The connection was immediate, and David would eventually make his way back to Poltava where he would go on to propose to Nina. David decided to relocate to Ukraine, where he and Nina made their life along with her two young daughters, whom David was in the process of adopting. David and Nina also welcomed a daughter of their own into the world in 2019. Together with Nina and their three daughters, David enjoyed his time in Poltava. Tragically, David lost his battle with COVID-19 on May 12th, 2021 - leaving behind Nina and their three young daughters. We're raising funds in David's memory to help Nina provide their three daughters with the care and love that David had always intended. It was Both David's and Nina's wish to relocate back to the United States where their children would continue their education, which is still Nina's goal. Any financial contributions to assist Nina in that goal, as well as just providing for her three young children, would be greatly appreciated.
Oh my God, I feel so bad about David and his wife from Poltava. My condolences to her. I had Covid too this year and it was traumatizing and scary. I thought I was going to die. I lost my mother too this year to the virus. May God Nina strength to deal with all this.
i just lost my wife to cancer, found this story and felt a glimmer of hope for when im ready. But to tragically lose his life to covid, makes me very very sad
I am speechless, sitting here in 2020 when all seems doomed with the corona pandemic.Dave You, my man have restored faith that I lost. I just love the way you keep mentioning God in all off this. Be Blessed Brother greetings to your Family. AFA I will be in contact with you people. Thanks for an awesome heartfelt video.Much love from Southern Africa.
Dave I lost my partner 8 years ago to cancer. I understand you fully. I am so happy for both of you, the only thing that counts is love. Unconditional love. Your story has warmed my heart. Well done
Hey Dave, I started watching this video on a whim and soon became enthralled into your personal story. I could tell you were a genuine guy. What happened to you was magical. God works in mysterious ways that can not be planned, predicted, or known by even a super-computer. I was so entertained by your story. I am very happy for you and your new family. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Merry Christmas!
WOW ! What a beautiful story ! Very Real and loving family . Truly touching to hear from such a big heart in both Dave and his wife. This as well as other stories about Ukrainian women shows that if you are serious about getting married, this is a beautiful example of finding your wife in Ukraine. God bless this wonderful family .
I am extremely emotioned and touched for this beautiful love's story. There is a great god up there watching us all the time to bless us even in the most hardest time of our life. Happiness love and blessing for that beautyfull family.
Dave and Nina's story was extremely touching. I liked how, with the divine intervention, that they essentially healed and enriched each other's lives. The only part I found difficult to watch and listen was I wish the translator had been mic'ed up, or her mic was louder, as well. It was difficult to here the translation on video. However, it does not deter from their great love story.
I was really touched by your story! one of the most Inspirational I have ever seen! It's proof that once you put ypur mind into it you really can find love and happiness! Dave blessing to you and your lovely family!
I'm very happy for you. Enjoy your new life. I'm 73 and I lost my wife of 48 years. A year ago. You look like a beautiful couple. Enjoy your new children!!
Awesome you two, I hope you both and your girls continue to enjoy your life with health and wealth for years to come. I believe that you and family deserve it. God Bless All
I was married to a Moscovite. She died of cancer less than three years after we met. Had a daughter by her ex. Yuliya was 4 years old. In Rossia it is almost impossible for a divorcee with child to find a suitable husband. For this lovely Poltavan woman to find a husband amongst her country men would have been almost impossible. For you to take on two kids...the age difference....living in Poltava....not many men would've put there selves out there. She is a great catch Dave. I am a sucker for dark eyed-dark haired women. God has given the two of you a great gift. Dave, from a medical point of view....you need to survive a long time to get these kids raised. Start losing that excess weight. It is a killer of the heart and can easily shorten your life. Take the time and energy to do it for those beautiful kids you are entrusted with. I do not say this to be cruel. It is medically sound advice that the weight you are carrying can be deadly. God bless your family in Poltava. One of the best internet stories i have seen in many many a year. Well done guys.
Where r all the good men like that in america. If i could find a good caring man like that i would be so happy for once in my life i dont date anymore bc i just dont trust men anymore
"He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord" and "we must go through many hardships into the kingdom of God" and "we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" that comes to my mind whem viewing the story.
This is really truly a very special Love Story. Congratulations to the two of you and your children . May God Bless You and your family for all eternity.
What a great and sacred story here, right from the get go. Yes, Ukrainian Women have to be the most powerful, beautiful, but stringent-minded, which is integrity. I am too married to a Ukrainian Woman, I am not a Ukranian Person at all but grew up in Canada in a mostly Ukrainian-Region, amongst the huge, beautiful, farms they have made. Many thanks to UkraineLadies in making this a fairy tale for us all who have made half Ukrainian Children, having been fell for their strength and beauty
Congrats to Dave and Nina and I want to say thank you to both for sharing your stories. You both give me hope and inspiration to be able find happiness again after the loss of my wife to cancer also. I hear more stories of people’s spouses helping them to find love again. I can relate to the feelings of “Am I cheating on my spouse even though she is gone?” I like what Dave said about God knows what each of us need long before we ask of Him. No doubt a lot of praying, pondering and meditating went into finding answers to their beautiful relationship before taking it to the next level. This is better than a Hollywood movie because it’s the real deal and not a fantasy. I hope you all are blessed beyond measure as you continue a new chapter and journey in life together! I have to admit I would have reservations about being a father again in my 60’s. I’m ok with being a grandfather. Of course Abraham was 90 when he first become a father. Anyway, good luck and God bless you all! -Steve
Dave, I want to make one more comment. It brings tears to my eyes that i see the love of these young girls that they have for you. I can see in your wife's eyes her joy that you have captured their hearts with your gracious and open love for them. I can not think of a greater healer of deep psychological pain that the salve of love. You have a way with children. Lucky lucky man....and you know the saying...i believe in making my own luck.
