Also, I really really want Mason Miller. People keep saying, "No, no, we can't give up a ton of prospects for a reliever." What people don't seem to remember is that he was being groomed to start. We could use him as a closer for this year and maybe next year. Then, after he has some big league experience, you can stretch him out to start and just imagine what our rotation could look like at that point.
Good move. Although Merrifield could play multiple positions, he was painful to watch at the plate. I kept waiting for him to turnaround, but he never did. He was given many opportunities to prove himself but failed. More moves to come, we shall see.
Brent Rooker on last year of contract dont have to give up any top prospects. Hes on pace for 36 HR and 110 rbi , hitting .280 , .902 OPS. in the A's lineup where they can pitch around him.
He just broke his finger and went on the IL. Still want him? And he's a lefty. The only lefty I want is Kyle Tucker, who is also currently on the IL ironically, but the Astros are doing better now and probably won't be sellers now.
So, nothing about him being a lefty? We need another lefthanded power hitter like we need another a**hole. And he'd be the highest paid player on the team, I believe. Or very close to it. He's a nice player, and I wouldn't hate it, but I really don't think it's the right move for this club.
No matter what I do NOT want A. Painter or A. Miller involved in any trade package at the deadline...anyone else I'm ok with including Caba & Crawford!
I believe the Phillies did Whit a favor, He will get picked up by another team. Whit is within reach of his 10 years for pension purposes and he's not playing enough game for that to happen. Whit is the type of player that has to play every day or ha is just an average or below player at the plate. Whit is just too good a player to sit the bench. I would have thought they would have traded him rather than release him.
Connor, I am just as shocked as you are about Whit Merrifield, I don't think they really gave him an honest chance just because was struggling. Pache isn't doing much neither. They brought up Weston Wilson they could have brought up Ruben Cardenas, Buddy Kennedy or Stevenson they all are hitting well. SMH.
Robert Jr. is risky but I wouldn't hate it. Really don't think Jazz would fit in this clubhouse. Apparently he's a douche. Who I think I've landed on for offensive help is Randy Arozarena. I think he would fit right in, and he's a really nice player with club control for a few years, and I think his average would rise a lot in this lineup.
Jazz is a great teammate he literally clashed with the old guard in his clubhouse who hated the new celebration and stuff that is common place now which all of the other guys who clashed with him got sent outta town so that shows he wasn’t the problem and that one story sticks with him forever now, he could be good for the team if we were to acquire him which I personally would love because I’m a fan of jazz but that would mean benching marsh some which isn’t the right move so I understand why it won’t happen so more of a right move is a right handed bat in the outfield
People were calling for this and i feel dumb because i said to everyone it would never happen because of the money and he is a vet thats loved in the club house and i was completely wrong. Pache is 100% next because he has been just as if not worse then Whit.

I'm actually ok with giving out painter, miller and crawford for rooker and miller
@@jassammejia3664 I’m glad you’re not in charge haha
@@jassammejia3664Painter is an ace in waiting.I don't think the Phillies should ship him.
Surprising😆yea i’m shocked they cut an older player who hasn’t produced all year & is currently batting under 200
I grew up with him he’s a multi time Allstate and solid end of batting order guy
@@_ColeJackson_ I was rooting for him because he’s been a good player but he got old & obviously fell off
They should’ve cut Kimbrel the same way in October
Would love Bellinger, I watched quite a few Cubs games and he really still got it at the plate. And I just love his style but that's just me

Even with a broken finger he would be efficient again in a month, so yes, I would still like the Phillies to get him

Liked him but he just wasn't producing when he had the opportunities and when he had to
Get Rooker and Mason Miller!!!! Power Bat, Mason Miller will bring the confidence level and competitive level so high in that Bullpen

Whiff got way too many chances. He never earned a start making 8 million hitting below the Mendoza line.
Whit had more than enough chances
I just saw that buddy Kennedy, who I knew nothing about, is don money's grandson. I guess money has some role with the brewers
@@SpergerKing fair point but whiff is just mean 😂
Get rid of Alvarado too he never has a 123 inning! He can’t handle pressure! Always pitching from behind! He is a liability

Mr. No Hit Whit
It says he is washed up! He wasn't good last year and worse this year
I'm a big fan of the Phillies I'm going to be a uncle It's a girl
❤ congratulations :) go Phils!
@@littleggriffith7126 congrats!
He had absolutely no place on a good team. Have fun in Denver or Miami
Worse OBPs than Merrifield are Dahl, Stubbs, Rojas, and Clemens -need to evaluate trading these guys even evaluate Castellanos
I want Robert! Or jazz
