  • Robert Lewis, author of 'Dark Actors: The Life and Death of Dr David Kelly', talks about how he was so haunted by the tragedy of Dr Kelly's death in July 2003 that he was compelling to write this riveting new book.
'Dark Actors' is a new examination of that fateful day encompassing the whole of Dr Kelly's - sometimes shadowy - career operating around the world at the highest security levels of British intelligence. And it sheds new light on the circumstances surrounding his death.
As Dr Kelly wrote in an email to a correspondent on the morning of his death: "I will wait till the end of the week before judging. Many dark actors playing games..."

The police officer told the Hutton Inquiry he left the scene when the ambulance crew arrived, in reality he remained for nearly another two hours when eyewitness accounts suggest several changes were made to the scene including more blood being added and objects moved.

He revealed in a newspaper interview in 2010 that the body wasn’t lay flat on the ground as he said at Hutton but was propped with its head and shoulders against a tree just as the first volunteer searcher who found the body had described.
When the ambulance crew arrived the body was on its back a significant distance from a tree, a great enough for a paramedic to stand in the gap between a tree and the head of the body when checking for signs of life.

The body had been moved but the official police line, to this day, despite the first police officer’s on the scene apparent confession.
The Attorney General wrote to the police when he conducted his ad hoc inquiry and asked them to investigate the police officer’s new evidence, they did not question him about his change of evidence regarding the position of the body and have stated they have no intention to do so.

The Attorney General, when he made his statement to Parliament following his investigation misled Parliament by not informing it of the evidence against the first police officer on the scene. The evidence that he misled Hutton over the position of the body when he first saw it but also there is evidence that he misled Hutton over who he attended the scene with, how long he remained at the scene and what he did at the scene when the ambulance crew left.

      Precisely, he even said so.
Yet thia guy labels him a shrewd calculator who's then committed a cowardly action. Leaving his wife and family and friends. It's a disgraceful book ghostwriten for whatever organisation murdered him.

Who were the MP's on that Parl Select Committee?
To this day, I remember one of them was very hostile towards
    Dr. Kelly.

This and other evidence of cover up has never been investigated; until it is the suicide conclusion remains unsound.

It was definitely suicide, but he was forced and helped to commit it.

Warning - don't become an 'expert'; because when the position is defined, a person is no longer free. There are few people to whom the term 'expert' can be more appropriately applied than to Dr David Kelly, nor seemingly accepted with such diffidence. How strange then is the counterpoint between the necessity of his position and the ease with which he reckoned it to be inconsequential; strangely resolved in the genial, unperturbable landscape connecting the softly flowing Thames and the gently undulating Vale of White Horse. Most odd
