How is it possible to get such a good camera, with 3X optical aswell!!!!, for 400£??? Its super good and I love the optical zoom!
If shooting video, I think I would chose the Nothing Phone 2a or 2a Plus, for instance I don't like the Neo's overly contrasty footage with exaggerated over-saturation, though I know some apparently like that look for social media shares, and you can of course alter that in post, the Nothing phones are apparently better in low light. Both drop frames, so not perfectly smooth videos, though the Nothing phones seem slightly better, more closely hitting the full 30fps in that respect, and I know at the price you have to keep your expectations realistic, though.
I think if point and shoot photography/video is your main concern, though, perhaps take a look at the slightly more expensive Pixel 8a, or even the much cheaper 7a? Computational photography isn't popular with everyone but I think for people who don't want to spend time in post, who just want to point and shoot, they are some of the best cameras out there (at the price). Pixel phones are quite often on sale and have good part exchange, IF your old phone is in their list.
I'm a big fan of Motorola, though. If you can live with its lesser feature set, I think the 50 Fusion model is great value for money, for instance (£250 for the 8GB model) though apparently still needs some bug fixes
but Keep in mind Motorola have a terrible reputation on updates. Nothing frequently update, with fairly frequent camera improvements, for instance portrait in the most recent update. Pixel phones are very good for updates.
If you take a look at the long term reviews (mainly in India, so you'll need to use subtitles), this is one of the most often expressed concerns, especially where they've done long term reviews and revisited Motorola phones they've previously reviewed.
I noted that Motorola, with the release of the Edge 50 Pro, have promised they will do better on updates, but they have said this before. I am a big fan of Motorola, so hopefully they will do better.

Hi I used to be an iPhone user for quite a few years. Then one year. I was looking at swapping my iPhone then I looked at the Motorola's then I decided to buy one and ever since that day I stuck with Motorola they are a fantastic phone and i light taking pictures on my Motorola g82 5G the video quality is fantastic and the audio is amazing truly is fantastic phone company I would definitely recommend Motorola phones to anyone why pay thousands of pounds for apple and Samsung when you can have a Motorola what does the same job or even better job in my eyes the new Motorola edge 50 neo is a master peace and I would love to own one

The Moto seems quite impressive for its price point 👍 Great camera, clean android experience, improved updates ( 5 years) great display etc. For those who dont want to spend a fortune on a mote expensive device.
What are we saying about the camera lag on the moto. Ive got the edge 50 ultra and ive had to switch to gcam because the processing lag is crazy bad. Moving subject you've got no chance using the stock app.

What is happening with neo's 3x zoom. Colours becomes orange
That's quite common on a lot of zoom cameras , even some high end ones . My pixel zoom lens changes the white balance

I think it's just the software. In time I guess they'll improve this with updates . I know Nothing is currently experiencing over expose issues

The Neo, £399, is a lot more expensive than the 2(a). I'm not sure it's worth it? (apologies, I didn't notice this is the 2(a) plus but my thoughts below, based on a lot of reviews, still apply, I think).
Photography and video wise, both have their issues, neither are great, I mean compared to Pixel phones, for instance? I'd be worried given Motorola's reputation on updates, that they'll be found wanting in that department, again.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not anti Motorola, the opposite in fact, I love my old G7 Power, really like what I've heard about the OS, and if they address some of the bugs, the Edge 50 Fusion, for instance, would definitely be on my shortlist as a pretty decent budget offering that trades blows with the Nothing Phone 2(a), at about the same price.
I think at the Neo's current price point, I'd probably go for a Pixel phone.
This is a comparison against the Nothing Phone 2a Plus and not the 2a. The 2a has 1080p selfie while the 2a Plus has a 4K selfie

Hey there, I'm wondering what phone I should get between The Nothing Phone 2a, The Moto Edge 50 Neo, The OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite, and The Samsung Galaxy F54.
They are all the 8gb ram and 256gb storage versions
I'll be using them to watch anime, read manga and light novels, Listening to Music, play games like genshin impact and wuthering waves, and then the usual apps like discord, reddit, pixiv and whatsapp.
