Moats are definitely not dead haha. I agree that Notion doesn't have a particularly strong network effect moat, but it *does* have a switching cost moat. If a business starts using the database features of Notion tables, they can't just switch to Google Docs without losing a ton of functionality. Also, getting 50+ employees to learn and become familiar with how to use a different system as efficiently as they use Notion will take time, and time is money. That's a switching cost moat. Switching cost moats are also what make ERPs like Netsuite such amazing businesses. Quickbooks, and Salesforce also have extremely high switching cost moats. Moats are very much alive and well!

The idea of a bounty program for dev evangelism blew my mind. Before startups even hire a full-time evangelist, there's so much groundwork to lay. It's like crowdsourcing the early stages of community building, which not only saves time but also taps into global talent.

Greg, instead of people investing in VC funds, what if a website allowed startups to sell shares?
Ex: A startup shares their balance sheet, income statement, other info. All this has been verified with some level of DD. For example, the startup says that 0.001% of the company is worth $100 ($10m valuation). Could also add bidding and vesting period if it makes sense.
    Thoughts?

The open VC fund idea is basically just a web3 VC DAO. Crypto natives already do this, provide funding for projects for partial ownership by the DAO and then distribute profits to DAO members. Not sure how successful they have been but they're out there doing it.

I disagree reg network effect reg using notion. It IS network effect that is keeping me with notion, its a great product by itself but depending on how you use it network effect comes into play. TEMPLATES - are the best way to get your knowledge and experience or wisdom across for people to utilize and convert knowledge into action. Its because of the templates i keep gpoing back to notion. despite the fact that the product is so slow when you start accumulating templates and the data does not stay in your computer, etc..

I'm so done with these videos first of all no. The title is already a lie not even going into the video it self. Do you guys know asking anyone involved or watching these videos that supply and demand also come with business ideas too. Like if there is a business idea that is really good and you just told it to hundreds of thousands of people then in it self it is no longer a good business idea. I don't get how no one understands this if a thousand people start drop shipping businesses then not all of them can succeed because the over supply and massive competition and don't say well you just don't know how to do it ya and you don't either because these UA-cam either don't know either or made it known by to many people so it's no longer a good technique. I don't understand how know one knows this if they tell you there is no barrier to entry and you can make someone's salary in a year in a video then that's a lie because then everyone would be doing that or at least enough people would toll the point money would be worth less or competition would be so high you would be lucky enough to make rent that month.
