Good job guys 👏👏 It's common to have toxic cultures in Sri Lankan companies, irrespective of how big the company is. It could be due to majority who works in these big corporates (irrespective of their current salary levels) have experienced lots of pain (due to financial issues)when they were kids/teens. As a result even a hygiene factor (two factor theory) could be a big motivating factor to these senior employees who works in these "big corporates"😅. So jealousy and toxic culture is a normal thing in Sri lanka. We need to adapt to it or move to a country where the GDP is very high.
I've been working for 11 years for like 11 companies.. but I'm still a full failure.. I never enjoyed the corporate life.. I can't understand the office politics & everything.. above all , I hate being working as a Quantity Surveyor.. I wanna do things regarding music , dancing , artistic stuff etc. but I can't understand how to make a move.. also I'm extremely afraid to make any move at all.. mama work karapu hama company ekakama mata thibune prashna vitharai..dan company eketh ehemai.. kavadavath mata hariyata salary ekak na thaamath.. hamadama gedara enne extremely disappointedly.. I'm always sad & suffering.. All I need is to change my career to something I'd really like and want to do.. but I'm too afraid & shy to make that move.. I'm STUCK ! please help me ! 🙏😭
I think if we are doing a job or career we need to be passionate about it.The passion is an individual choice.In your case your can be in the wrong industry.there should be a wise transition.At the end you need to enjoy and be happy.You shouldnot hear to the outside world give first to yourself and the people around you especially your family will be in good hands.
Just our two cents: Maybe its time to take a leap of faith! But make sure you do it wisely. Money is extremely important and in most cases, money comes from doing boring things. Work on music, dancing, and artistic projects, on the side and build it slowly. Hard pill to swallow but to make a career out of music, dancing, and artistic projects, you need a huge amount of luck and you also need to be at the top 1% of people. Perhaps you could find a better job that pays you well enough for you to build your passion projects on the side. Good luck!
You know some Managers do this toxic wording saying" you know do you wait till some one hit you parents" once any problem came to them while we perform perfect with actual vs system KPI'S...Thats the way they take our marks to them by bullshit way😂
If you can speak one language it will be better… first decide what language you wanna use.. don’t be like Indian style .. one word native language then English…
