I've never had a sharkbite fail!! I love that they can turn after they are installed.

I've had my doubts about using these for a permanent connection so I'm happy to see this video. On 2 bathroom remodels my plumber used sharkbites for the shut-offs on copper pipe inside the wall. That was 10 years ago and I've had zero issues. But I will add this: the other day I tried to use both versions of their tool (the orange clip and the tongs) to try and disconnect one set of shut-offs and couldn't do it -- not only because it was a tight space where I couldn't get both hands in there to compress the fitting while doing a twist/pull on the pipe, but maybe also because I don't have Popeye arms like Mr. Eric Aune! LOL For my little project I ended up sweating on 10 fittings. A 1/2" sharkbite coupler at retail is about $9 here. Pretty pricey. But a small spool of solder costs $25. Either way, you will pay.

So glad to see you of all people, and as a plumber, give these a shout out! I did learn to solder copper for my DYI work, but then just went with these over time. They make it as easy as gluing and sloping PDC pipe. Came in so handy with swapping out my water heater a few years back. Less work, less time, and as you mentioned, almost any type of piping! Keep up the great work!

Production of UA-cam videos vs shorts is more work, but I am happy to see you taking the time, and haters will hate, let em, the positive review of SB from an experienced specialist is reassuring, thank you

I don’t agree with this at all the fittings are not easy to use, I could even get them to slide together with my full body weight on top of it let alone sliding it together in a tight place with no leverage, the old ones were much better and never had a problem with them.

I just installed these on a New Washer box an cold water run after putting in new Water Horn an Ball valve and City water meter! No leaks! Hope lasts! I used a 5/8” open end wrench to release one of them to see how it worked! I used it on 1/2” Copper! Saved a lot of time an No sweating fittings! Lil exspensive at about 8.00 a fitting!

Are the fittings and ball valves full port?

I don't think they list them as full port but they are at least very close, this is just my opinion by looking at them. I have used quite a few valves and fittings systems that are not even close to these for inside diameter size

Sharbite is so easy to use, it feels wrong. I’m done 4x the speed.
