Some people in these comments seem so offended by the fact that Omnia does 1 rap song, that they don't even seem to care to listen to the lyrics, or to see the fans going crazy to this song. I think most fans will agree that Omnia should not become a "rap band", but I dont think that there is 1 true Omnia fan that thinks that that is the path they are going to take now. Omnia needs to experiment with their music, that is why they are Omnia!

The whole song is a brave new crossover between neo-folk and rap which turns out to be intriguing to say the least. So, I think that being narrow-opinioned is what keeps people fom this song. That was also the case with me until I realised it's quality. My friends, open your minds and hearts. If you keep them closed you are safe but nobody gets anything. Opening them might be scary and may result in some great and some unwanted things... But you'll never know if you don't try.
    Greenthingz! ;)

I heard the older version of this song long time before Wolf Love came out (you can check it out on YT), and didn't pay too much attention to it. But the Wolf Love version hit me right in the head, so I couldn't believe that I can like such a song in such a way! The lyrics are brutal. They express sincere criticism of modern "democrat"/capitalist sociery, and according to my book, a healthy/natural attitude toward it's hipocrisy. (again, next post :)

Erm... Rap is a medium. The medium itself is not "mindless, demeaning and hate filled". You're probably referring to gansta rap, which is a style that uses rap. Just because it's the most popular use of rap, that doesn't mean the medium itself is bad. Listen to the lyrics; I do not find them to be mindless, demeaning or hate filled.
And Omnia (and this song) is *about* tolerance, you're doing the exact opposite. The lyrics and music are great, I'm not a fan of rap in general, but this is GOOD.

@olithos I have Omnia's live dvd and also several cd's, however this song IS the reason I will not be purchasing their current cd. As someone who grew up on progressive rock music, I find rap (really awful poetry) mindless, demeaning, and hate filled. That said I really liked the Alive and Paganfolk albums and will continue to enjoy them.

On my part, I admit that I was kinda sceptical about Omnia doing something rap-like because I really don't like nor even respect modern day commercial hip-hop/ rap/R'n'B/whatever music . I simply despise the attitude that music has. On the other hand, rap in it's far origins is a music of rebbelion - rebbelion of the opressed black man. Even that being the case, I really didn't get how will such music fit in with Omnia. (to be continued in the next post)

@OldSchl4evr funny, I always thought rap meant "retards attempting poetry", but that aside I think it's the same for me. My prog rock/hippy upbringing (musical wise anyway) and musical tastes just sort of block this sort of "cheap music" for me(sorry guys, it just feels like taking the easy road on making music). That being said there is some rap I enjoy and I still like the old Omnia music. I just won't be buying any new albums anytime soon.

@DarkElphie read it, copy paste of lame excuses from pretty much every band(regardless of genre) for making some weak attempt to be "hip". Experimenting with your music is okay and cool, but it doesn't remove the fact that the song itself is just poor quality regardless of anything else. If they want too create this kind of music that's okay but then they will be judged on the quality of that music as well.
