The modified Carnival Corp USA Vista/Spirit Class design won't win any beauty prizes but it's nice to have another Cunard cruise ship. She is NO Queen liner but a luxurious cruise ship.
Queen Elizabeth II was the only ship ever able to fit into the Panama Canal out of the 4 Cunard Queens. Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary II and Queen Elizabeth II. Not counting the new Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth III.
+Zachary Legaspi It would have been logical. But it's not so unusual for a shipping company to use the name of one of their old, no more existing, ship for a new ship.
+Zachary Legaspi The original QE and QE2 were ocean liners designed for transatlantic transportation. The new ship is a common cruise ship and bears nothing in common with the two other ships that were named QE.
I would like the British Royal Navy to stop calling it's latest Aircraft Carrier the Queen Elizabeth 2. It's a military ship of the finest naval traditions. To give it a name only fitting of an ocean liner is insulting.
White Star became defunct in 1934 as a result of the Great Depression but nevertheless survived through a Merger with Cunard untill 1950, when the latter bought the remaining portion of the formers' shares. Since then, it's only Cunard (which itself is now part of Carnival Corporation)
there were three ship called Queen Elizabeth the most beautiful and the best speed of them was the first Queen Elizabeth, the second was not so great as the first and the third is the worst of all - he is the most slow of them and the small and ugly, I'm not going to sit for a third Queen Elizabeth, he will not fit and not in comparison does not go with the first two.
Westbound. Look at the shadows from the sun. If you don't understand what I mean look at the locks on Google Earth to understand their orientation to the planets rotation. Transit takes about 8 hours so she entered the Atlantic locks in the morning and exited the Pacific locks in the afternoon.
This really shows how top heavy the modern cruise ships are.
Bob van Leeuwen this is an ocean liner not a cruise ship
Queen Elizabeth is a cruise ship. Queen Mary 2 is the only ocean liner in Cunard's fleet.
Queen Elizabeth is a cruise ship as is her sister, Queen Victoria. The third Cunard sister is the Queen Mary 2 which IS an ocean liner.
I'm from Panama i speak spanish

I have an ask: what happened to the Queen Elizabeth 2? Not this one, the another, the transatlantic
unbelievable...
Hubiera imaginado al Lusitania o al titanic cruzando por este canal
I cried when I left the ship.

Too noisy, too many stupid tourists.

What an amazing feat of engineering, how the cruise ships like Queen Elizabeth squeeze through is amazing. Next on my hit list is the Panama Canal
As much as I don't like the boxy stern of the ship, I much prefer seeing "Southampton" instead of "Hamilton".
Me too
Practig schip.
1 keer in Rotterdam aan de Parkkade gezien.
Soo lets see. There was the Queen Elizabeth. then there was the Queen Elizabeth 2. So wouldn't this be the Queen Elizabeth 3?

White Star Line went bankrupt decades ago.

Just clearing the sides by inches. Fantastic seamanship.
What an interesting video. I liked that very much, thank you.
If you are ever in the worst storm ever, this is the ship to be on. Not one of those cruise ships. Nice job with the video.
QM2 is the "transatlantic" built one...not Victoria and Elizabeth.. they are cruise-ships ! :)
atlantic ocean to ocean pacific or pacific to atlantic
idk how didn't it get stuck
Which way was it going? Eastbound or westbound
Westbound. Look at the shadows from the sun. If you don't understand what I mean look at the locks on Google Earth to understand their orientation to the planets rotation. Transit takes about 8 hours so she entered the Atlantic locks in the morning and exited the Pacific locks in the afternoon.
Who did the music? Really catchy!

Hi stupid
do Navy ships have to pay the canal fee 🇺🇸
Such a beautiful ship!
Why is the Queen Mary 2 referred to as 2 yet The Queen Elizabeth is not referred to as The Queen Elizabeth 3?
Boat Axe they named it as a omage to the original
