weird arrangement. dont know why the flute has to play one or two notrs notes in the "zwischenspiel" that doesnt even sound like a motive or a melody. it just comes across as a disrepectful etude. the singer doesnt sing either there. and those arpeggios downwards has nothing to do with the sensitivity of the pigeon called desire. Im shocked though by the breathing technique of the soloist. its urging tone is hauntingly beautiful. and im not even a fan of the flute in general. first time moved here by that instrument.
Well, this is the arrangment for flute by an expert flutist and flute maker. It is not for singer. If you just don't like or know anything about the flute, just be quiet!
