No se en Jalisco, pero en el estado de Oaxaca en algunas regiones también se come pastel de carne con puré de papa, el puré es más común tipo horneado como si fuera una lasaña. Erin have you considered getting an AirFryer. I got a 7 quart one from Costco (Gourmia brand) for $49. I see the 8 quart is $39 right now. I cook a lot but I love the airfryer because you can bake anything that needs baking or roasting, and reheating food. I use it a lot to dehydrate herbs like cilantro rosemary and oranges. It’s good to have. I wasn’t sure about the air fryer at first, but it’s been so useful. I don’t have to turn the stove oven on for small dishes or warm up food in microwave that will get rubbery.
Sadly, typical Mexican dishes don't do so well in the air fryer. Learned the hard way 🫤

You really do need 2 bathrooms when you have a large family, I have 4 children, and one bathroom really does not function with a big family. The ideal place would be in the master bedroom, but the layout of the house does seem wonderful
I'm sure they could pop in and use the grandma's restroom... she's only across the yard. 😂 Lol!!
If you have access to ground pork, it’s delicious mixed with ground beef in meatloaf. In a 1:1 ratio. I make a lot and use 1.5lbs of each and it makes 2 decent sized loaves.

Hi Erin. California here. Do any of the girls like to help or cook? When growing up my 3 sisters took turns getting up to help my mom make lunch to take to work. Tortillas, frijoles and carne, burritos. Us girls are all 3 years apart. I am the Peepee (youngest) of the girls. So I didn’t get up that often to help. My sisters are good cooks. I do alright. My kids think I’m a good cook. 3 of my 4 kids love to cook. 2 of them are males. My brothers, 6 of them, are all good cooks too.
When you were talking about a firm foundation, I immediately thought about the Lord and how HE is a firm foundation for everyone. 🥰

If you can get some HOLLY WATER FROM THE CHURCH OR A FRIEND, sprincle some on the foundation of your home and with your family together , say a prayer and offer your home to the Lord, use the water especially in the corners of your home, bessings to all of you.

I love that you can walk get fresh produce! That meatloaf looks good ❤ You ever make chocolate enchiladas? Thats what were having tonight lol sweet treat every once in awhile!
Sauce: With chocolate tablets, Ancho 3x, Guajillo 4x and a cinnamon stick and Lil sugar 1 Tbsp, salt 1 Tsp and I add little fresh squeezed orange juice but that can be left out! Then flour tortillas and cheese with homemade sauce!
