- wow! it's finally finished! a week ago, i started this at 12 in the morning as a fun little impulsive project after my friend zero showed me a series of storyboards he made based off of, y'know, turn the lights off. after that, it kind of just... spiraled out of control? and i'm really happy to have gotten it done! anyway enjoy this animatic of baby dweet eating shit at dbd :)

THANK YOU, i absolutely adored the lore of dbd and reading it in the wiki pages was actually my first impression of the game and how i got into it!! im very happy to hear you appreciated the details as well this was like LOADS of fun to work on so tysm again 🥺
This is one of the few animatics to humanize the killers, outstanding job
thank you! the lore was one of my favorite parts of the game back when i was interested, and the friend whose storyboards i worked with was sure to incorporate a lot of it too. the killers for the most part all just being people was something that really intrigued me, so it was a lot of fun reflecting that.
@jimmyeatsbread my favorite scene was the killers around the campfire. It felt poetic as they seemed alot less cheerful than their victims
1:51 Love that Steve is getting carried by Nancy. That was one of my favorite scenes since Nancy and Steve are my usual mains. Amazing work on the animation! Keep on going! Don't let anyone hold you back!

I love how you drew Min in this, you actually did the research to get her demeanor right according to her life and backstory. And with her new current lore from the tome, it only ages well !
this is such a sweet comment i was really thrilled to read it 😊 thank you so much! im not as into dbd now (it still has its grasps on me for sure but a 15 year-old's hyperfixation is unmatched...) but for a long long time, its lore was my absolute favorite part about it and i always wanted to take pains to get things as right as i could. i havent read her tome though ive heard good things, and im happy to hear it still holds!!! >:DDDD thank u again!

I especially love the anatomy and style in your artwork, I've been meaning to make my own DBD animatic and I've gotten quite close, but not in any meaningful way. I still have to improve on my art skills a lot before considering it though.

I might be looking too deep into it but I really like how you drew the trapper. Seems like he felt really bad for the survivors and you could see at one point the entity behind him influencing him , in lore he resisted it so I felt like it was a really nice touch :)
you arent at all, thank you so much!!! im very glad u point that out bc i do very much still view evan as really reluctant about being a killer. i have a very specific (😭😂) lore interpretation that combines the stuff we get from his og lore, his tome, and old add-on descriptions, and it goes into the development of his story and character. after all of what he goes through and just staying in the entitys realm afterwards as he is now, i like to believe he now forces himself to view serving the entity as Work and tries to detach himself from the survivors and what he does so he doesnt go insane from how awful all of it is + how he cant escape it and will suffer punishment from the entity if he tries (which is what i interpret the metal shrapnel embedded into him as). just constant suppression and desensitization... but he's still human and it does get to him. at least he can be friends with philip and max tho 🤞 (in my brain at least) thank you again!

This is really amazing!! I feel like you captured the core of the DBD experience, and I love how you depicted dwight. You clearly spent a ton of time on this and it really paid off! And perfect song choice as well! This is going into my favorites.

unfortunately at the time i didnt really know anything about him apart from what was written in his lore blurb and that he was a licensed character so i was impartial to him while i was making this. he only appears for like a fraction of a second in 2 frames across the entire video and not in that much detail in either of those. ive learned more about him in the almost 4 years since that has made him grow onto me a lot more though, but i have still yet to actually watch any of the movies... i always intended to change that but i just kept forgetting🧍♂️ hope that answer suffices!
