Great instructional video. I bought mine fall of 2021. Found this video. Never got around to it last winter. My 4 wheeler needed a new carb. Fixed that this past November finally installed the bracket on the sportsman I have a 2004 sportsman 500ho. Only has 690 original miles. Anyways they've made at least one change. Where your bottom blade bolts to the plow, my plow has "u" shaped notches that allow you to access the nuts, so I can use a socket. My nuts are larger to (lol). 14mm not even close. I gotta get some tools out of the barn. I would guess 17 or 18mm
Thanks for the video! I'm about to put one of these on my 570. I think the mounting plate setup is different, but watching this first will save me TONS of time putting the plow together. Thanks for taking your time to do this and help the rest of us out!
Thank you so much. I have an 04 500 and purchased the 60 inch version of this plow. The directions are crap and I couldn’t figure out how the mount was supposed to go on but it makes much more sense after seeing you do it
Haha yeah I searched high and low for a good video on the plow system itself or install procedure and found nothing which kind of baffled me since there’s so many of these wheelers around still. But I guess everyone got their plows put on before UA-cam was around 😂
Tony for the plow? Did the mount for the ATV come with the Denali Plow or you have to purchase the mount separately. The mount that connects to the bottom of your ATV? Thank you!
Hi there! If you go to the video description of this video, I have the exact link to the product I use. The mount itself is not made by Denali, but it comes with the plow if you order from them. Once you click the link, you select which blade and mounting kit you need. I believe the plow mount kit itself is made by Moto Alliance. MA11101 was the part number needed for my ATV, but again, it came with my plow kit since I ordered them together.
More blade is always nice, I just wasn’t sure how the 400 would handle pushing that much weight, and I wanted to be able to get into slightly tighter areas, so I went with the 50.
Just finished my setup, thanks for your video, I couldn't have done it without your walkthrough. It came with a universal mount, had a hell of a time getting it flush mounted. Ended up having to wait for the OE mount to arrive and much smoother install. I also went with the 60"👍 Thanks again!
I probably won’t do one just because mine is already installed and I’d have to remove everything to make an install video. It’s actually pretty straight forward if you have the right mount and a winch that fits. The wiring in my winch was all color coded and the instructions said where each wire went on the winch solenoid. Do you have any particular questions?
@@TonyTheTruckGuy oh, and your video definitely sped things up for me. I was trying to figure out why I had two mounting plates, and the video answered that too.
I normally bend them a lot more but not when they need to be removed again to adjust the plow pads. I ended up removing mine completely and just run straight blade.
Bought a used ATV with the Denali plow on your video. What pile of junk. It won't stay in its slot, keeps popping out while plowing. The hook to the winch has very little travel when lifting.
The slot for angling the blade? Are you sure the retention spring is in place? I always make sure to physically help the spring by pushing the locking tab into the slot by hand and I haven’t had any issues yet luckily. My plow has about a foot of up-travel.

Good to know! Glad you finally got around to putting the plow on haha. Super low miles on that 500, too!
A super nice job of presenting this process. You are articulate, thorough, and well-paced.
Thanks, I appreciate the positive feedback!

Are you happy with the 60 inch? I'm undecided and might pull the trigger on a 60"
This video saved me hours of trial and error

Nice job, very informative.
I'm undecided between 50" and 60" plow. Any input on your 50 inch since you've installed it? I have a 2004 - 500 HO. Thanks!

@@tjmacdonald256 Glad you got it figured out! Have you had a chance to try it yet?
Great walk through. Possibly gonna bite the bullet and purchase the factory setup thats double the price of the denali
Nice video, saved me a lot of screwing around!
Are able to do a video on how to install the winch?

I want to know how and what you used for your wench set up.
Warn 2500 winch and warn winch mount. Then the winch hook just clips onto the plow arm
Must of been a pain doing everything one handed. I had a hard time using two hands.
Haha. It wasn't easy. I did set up the phone best I could at some parts.

Like the video but for the cotter pin‘s just fully bend both if you can, I would at least bend them more then he did

@@TonyTheTruckGuy You might be right. Checking the spring might be worn out
