Description - Coded as Federal Route 2, Federal Highway is a controlled-access highway connecting the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, and Klang in Selangor. Built in 1959, it is Malaysia's first highway. It remains one of the busiest highway in Klang Valley at any time of the day, especially during rush hours from/to Kuala Lumpur. The highway was originally a 4-lane limited access highway except for the Petaling Jaya stretch where it became 6-lane highway. The entire highway was upgraded to a 6-lane highway from 1992 onwards.
