I wouldn't spend my money on the newer stuff -> 996 or 997 unless you go for the mezger based motors which means GT3 and turbo. Anywhoo, keep up the great content man! , Sander

I bought a mk1 last year (my first own car) had been looking for a mk1 for like 4 years. Currently its being repainted etc. Coilover, enige swapped. Man, im never gonna sell it. And i mean never (not like you lol). Once its finished, I'll be the happiest man alive lol.
It was a difficult decision for sure. But I really didn’t want to drive it like I typically drive my cars because it was such a unicorn. I did really enjoy it though and took it on a few long trips.
Wheelie can you tell me how was your experience with that g60 engine? i ask you because of me having plans to swap 1 of this engines to my 95 VW Cabrio .
G60 is the more expensive motor.. Not the motor itself.. but the G-Lader.. You have to keep an eye on it and even more often when you tune up stages.. There are inner parts, stripes for sealing and these wear out.. So at least 60-50.000 km take apart and renew.. With tuning.. You will need that every 20.000.. we have tables charts for that.. Costs approx 400-500 bugs for complete renew set.. With that the G will live.. Without..it will die.. And can ruin motor too.. No one can buy new G-Lader from VW.. And even repros cost 3000-4000 bugs
I just picked up a 2015 A3 prestige S-line TDI after i did the buyback on my 2010 golf tdi. They still have the 255s on em which is gonna be cutting it close so i might have to go down to 245s. its my daily driver and with the wheels being forged I shouldnt have any issues with all the miles shes gonna get on em. My weekend car is a 450whp mk4 r32 with a precision 6162, bolt on flares, 18x10 front and back Work Meisters with 265s.

Yeah bro, I sold the TT-RS too. And I sold our Eurovan camper. Had to make some sacrifices to get into an awesome house instead of our condo. But we LOVE the new place and it has lots of room for cars!!

Values are going nuts on e46 M3s. If you can get a lightly used one for less than $20k, I say grab it. It'll be worth over $30k before too long.
