Sir, I stumbled upon your channel today and was very excited. Thoroughly enjoyed your thoughts about Communicore Hall, and EPCOT Centre in general. I am looking forward to catching up and for future offerings. It is a top favourite for our family as well, and our boys requested to stay at Yacht Club so that we can get to EPCOT as often as possible.

Thank you sir for sharing your incredible insight about the Disney parks. I read that Epcot was originally based on a World's Fair in 1967. Could you talk more about the inspiration for the original Epcot? Maybe that could jumpstart the current design team. Thank you again for your presentations about the parks.

I'm just so done with Disney at this point. The leadership is so clueless and they keep churning out disappointment after disappointment after disappointment and its gotten so old.

I agree! Feel exactly the same! Disney feel like the only ones who don’t love their product

Love your calm, classic presentation…I didn’t love the new direction for Epcot but Epcot needed investment and so I bought into the “brand deposit” but they only delivered a couple and I feel the ones they left out were the mission statement of the project itself. That being said the modernized central spine and lighting package on Spaceship Earth were transformative in a good way that was long overdue.

All that was done to Epcot wasn't bad, just disappointing. The bad can be fixed with money, will and time.

All I have to say is if you haven’t already sold your Disney stock, I would ask why?

Epcot without any festival is not worth the current ticket price. The new Communicore Hall is an empty cafeteria without a festival. Finally all of the new additions to Epcot lack shade and air conditioned spaces.

As a fan (pun intended) of shade I agree that air conditioning in Florida in summer is a requirement. Thanks for your comment and for watching. Tell your friends. I’ll release a new episode this week.

As Communicore Hall is a flex space for festivals it’s too bad Disney didn’t install a festival for the opening. It would have been so much better if the full potential of Communicore Hall had been presented.

What happened to the imagination in imagineering? The best part of going to Disney was wondering how did they do that? Is there anyone left that has an imagination? A big dream?

There are people at Disney Imagineering who can and do dream big, however they are a project based company working for TWDC therefore they build in accordance with the Company goals. Good things happen but it does take time.

I really hated what they did with the old Future World’s hub. It became an insipid and charmless plaza, that you can find for free in many big cities of the world. Nothing special to remember and nothing really with the impact that the old Epcot Center caused in all of us, in the early 80’s. 👎☹️ Does anyone have Michael Eisner’s phone number?

My favorite stage is the Rivers of America in Disneyland used for Fantasmic. Wonderful use of space and even the double purpose of the same spaces. Shade is not really an issue since the show is at night. Only issue I could see is capacity. On a different subject, I think is interesting that flex spaces have been in the mind of Disney since Walt expansion of Tomorrowland in the 60's and it ended up limiting the potential use of those spaces until Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear astro blasters. Do you believe flex spaces can provide multiple experiences, be high quality, and immersive at the same time ever?

Yes if they are done well.

Let's be honest, modern Disney completely destroyed Epcot Center by turning it into a cheap LA outdoor strip mall to sell appetizers & booze with some slap on IP and nostalgia. I was at Epcot Center opening day and it changed my life. Now I am saddened to see the neglect and destruction of this once futuristic, optimistic, and hopeful land.

Epcot’s message has gotten lost with the introduction of IP in ways that feel forced. I rode and enjoyed the Guardians coaster but it doesn’t belong in Epcot. Thanks for watching.

I really miss the fun, engaging, and informative EPCOT. Not caring for the expensive food and music fest it has become.

Such a waste of space. They could’ve built an attraction or store that would help eat up crowds. So disappointed in Disney and their lack of caring. EPCOT was my favorite since we started going in 1996 but now it may be the least favorite.
