This week, we are moving the pigs over to the pond to help us prepare for our irrigation water! We're also planting out our field and preparing for Penny's kids!
Sorry for the delay on this! We planted triticale in December of 2021 and it didn't really do too much. This was planted in a non-irrigated portion of our property, so we were hoping that spring rains would be enough for germination. But like I said, we didn't get great germination for whatever reason. The year before (Dec 2020) we planted annual rye and that was beautiful. The only reason we did triticale last year instead of rye was because we couldn't find rye. I would do rye again though. Great germination and great competitor for the cheat grass!

How did the grass you planted work out. I'm over in Eastern Oregon and the damn Cheat grass is impossible to get rid of!!!
