actually 🤓☝️ the original idea was to include James Bond as a playable character in the original Smash, unfortunately, due to not coming to an agreement with Rare, it couldn't happen. However, the proximity mine remained in smash and that's why it appears exactly as the one in goldeneye. The idea was brought back for the GameCube release buy they ended putting snake from MGS instead of Bond from goldeneye.

This is awesome! One custom level series that I'd love to see is someone remake classic PC Wolfenstein 3D with Goldeneye style. Have options to only keep the 3 guns and have a max of 99 ammo. Keep secrets and layouts and all. Hidden 10th floor can be an unlockable stage like Aztec.
It's so jarring (but hella awesome) to see the really bright colors of Mario 64 in the Goldeneye engine. Wonder if anybody ported the Goldeneye maps to Mario 64?
