Perfect. Just the video I was looking for. Old basin has started wobbling away from the stud wall. This video has answered my worries of how effective this piece of kit will be. Now all I need to do is find the time to sort it out.
Fit a new pedestal basin and your videos were invaluable and the only reason i was able to do it. Thank you very much for your tutorials, bought this sinkfix and tap-its too and holds so well. Bless you kind sir ❤🎉
The timing of this video is uncanny. I'm due to 1st fix a bathroom in 2 weeks with a wall hung basin and I had totally forgot about this product! I've got one on order now and will make my life much easier. So cheers for that 👏🏻.
thanks alot! you've made it so pleasant to know what to do with the sink. i've got a small work on my warehouse that is going to have two bathroom remodeling. thanks again for the info.
I was going to have to make my own mount because my basin doesn’t come with a good mount, I’m so excited I saw this! Great video, great instructions. Thank you!!!
Great bracket. I fixed both bracket and the sink with grab adhesive just to be sure. The basin is rock solid on dot n dab plaster board on cinder block wal.l
Wont it be easier if you just put the mount onto the basin before the wall to mark where the big screws go on and tape it to that position or am i missing something
Hi James have you ever heard of The Nerad Jet sweat Tool, there’s only one video of it online. There’s also a similar product in the states called wassi or something. You basically insert the contraption 15///22 into the pipe or valve that won’t shut off, twist it down and a bung on the end expands to close off the pipe. Fairly sure you would have come across it. What’s your opinion? Cheers Thanks v much
So, this product is exactly what I’m looking for. I’m from the states and I’ve googled this many many times and I’m unable to find it. Does anyone know how to get the product? Is it sold in the US. Someone, please tell me I can purchase it somewhere!!! This is exactly what I’m looking for!! thanks ver much!!
Hi, is there a US outlet for Sinkfix brackets? Or is there a US equivalent? This is ideal for a small 30 lb sink I would like to mount in drywall that has non-uniform studs behind it. Thanks!
im dealing with older stuff with calking cracking an the basin with about a quarter mm movement, but I assumed you answered my question. i went thru this house an could tighten screws on all cabinet an door hinges so im assuming those lower screws just need a turn and im good to go?
Clunge is Cob, it can be a mix of mud (or dung) and straw, mud, gravel and lime, basically any local materials available. I have a bunch of it in my house and wall fixing can be “challenging”. This sink fix looks a great option for “poor” walls. Thanks for the useful video.
I love these videos. My husband and I have learned so much and enjoyed learning! We wanted to change our basin for a nice vanity unit but we didn’t know how to remove the old sink fix bolts that are sticking out of the wall. We’d love it if you had any videos on this or helpful tips.
Nice one - looks like a cracking bit of kit!I’m just about to install a new sink in the bathroom. If I hadn’t already tiled & bought Fischer fixings, I’d have been going out to buy one of these
This video is great. This my first time doing a sink. Will this be ok for a 800m sink also can you let me know what screws you used to screw the bracket to the plasterboard. Thanks again from London
Would be useful if they introduced one with much wider wings at about standard stud pitch so they can be used on new stud walls prior to tiling. That way you could be sure of catching 2 studs and the thickness of the bracket could be lost in the tile adhesive.
My bathroom sink is probably at least 50 years old. It's starting to come off the wall on the right side. Seems like all the screws that I can see are in but it detached from the piece in the corner. Idk if there was a screw in there that wore away or if there's some kind of adhesive I can use to fix it in place before the left side comes out to
A clunch wall is basically chalk and some sort of lime cement. My house is built out of the stuff! My village (isleham - local boy!) Is full of clunch houses. I guess it was cheap and easy to get hold of a couple hundred years ago.
Having spent nearly 40 years in carpentry I can guarantee most plumbers ‘fix’ a basin by sitting it on a pedestal while pushing it against a blob of silicon to the wall. Fixing brackets are binned. This method is ideal if you have a craving for your basin to fail, come away from the wall and fracture the cold and hot water pipe in the process.
Hi James. Great vid. I have a problem in a house I moved to in Wales. There’s a big old 1800mm+ double parcel rad, fitted with cavity fixings. Over time the weight of rad has bellied the plasterboard. Is there a similar product that I could use, or if you have any other ideas I’d love any advice. Thanks.
It beats me why bathroom sinks are typically so high these days. My old sink is only 800mm in height. It seems perfect to me, and young kids can use it.
I live in New Mexico and I have been trying to get one of these for two years. Any advice? I followed link to UK Amazon and they still say out of stock.
Buy a piece of 3mm steel plate. Cut to exact size with an angle grinder, Drill several holes to fit plate to the wall, including the two large holes for the fixing bolts. All measurements and holes drilled level using a spirit level as a guide of course. A bit fiddly but is relatively easy to do. I made my own. Sink, still hangs proud on the wall five years later. Admittedly, only a 400mm wide cloakroom sink. In the words of Peaches and Herb, SOLID! Solid as a rock!
Loved the video James! Easy squeezy cheesey peasey Did you manage to get a free replacement impact driver from Bosch after the Bum Head episode? PS. Up the Army
He said it's a "tap-it" fixing. Not sure if that's the manufacturer but it sounds like the product name as you "tap" them in. I've never seen those before but they look nice and easy to use 👍🏻
Can you please do a 30 second video with a song spray painting your mobile work table all one color again? I feel the video will be a hit as my ocd makes me think your worktable is unprofessional looking and uncared for.
Hi Aerob 1 (is that your real name?) I agree whole heartedly about my work bench. But it's been like that since last time. And it will continue to stay like that until next time. I'm sure you understand that that is the only way to keep a level head in these dark dark times. (next time) Thanks for your comment.

Looks great. Away to do my en-suite so will be perfect. What’s the best silicone for sealing tray? That will not go mouldy within a short time.
