She had polyps on her vocal cords. After the surgery she had to stay quiet for 6 weeks and in frustration she screamed and damaged her voice but for the better.

@@glynnevans1851 There always seems to be someone writing nasty things in the comments on here. Nothing better to do I suppose! And this person has obviously not seen how nice Bonnie still looks. Best wishes from Derbyshire UK.
I listened to this when I was a kid and never made the connection with the riff but listening to it now I noticed that the riff is the same as Then I kissed her.
something was wrong with the mic or the recording has deteriorated, everytime she sings "S" or "T" and the plosive consonants - there is a terrible hiss.
If you were in you're 20s in the 1970s, you'd have had a weird haircut. I was 0-4 in the 70s and I had one. Not like I had a choice. But seriously, 70s music=great. 70s fashion=awful. Oh, and Noel Edmonds? Complete bellend.
When this came out, I was about 10 years old, and I was quite concerned for Bonnie, I mean how was she getting home?!
This is her natural voice before at the end of 76 she broke a vocal cord and it gave her that husky voice she s known for.
What caused her broken vocal chord?
She had polyps on her vocal cords. After the surgery she had to stay quiet for 6 weeks and in frustration she screamed and damaged her voice but for the better.
When Bonnie did a video of lost in France her voice was higher and more clearer
Something similar happened to Mia Martini, one of the best italian singer, who changed in an incredibile way her voice in 1980.
She sounded even better after that.
She was beautiful😍
I had hair like her in 1976. And I'm a man ;-)
😂😂😂
Quit a lot of men have long hair at this time 😊
I just love this song and remember back in the 70s thinking, 'to be lost in France, how lovely'
Wonderful voice, brilliant song.
Oh my, 1976.... I was 9 years old then and "Lost in France" was one of my first Pop Favorites... Memories are made of this...

@@glynnevans1851 I assume by now you've found out what it translates to. If not, I wouldn't bother, they weren't being very nice about her.

Wow! love Bonnie Tyler, awesome voice, awesome song, Pete,
Omg last time I saw this I thought she’s too old for me! Now I think she’s just a very pretty lady and oh so young. Where did that go? Lovely song.
Most Beautifully Played Well Done ✅ Keep Up The Great Work
Classic.
The video is so nice too. Good ole' Bonnie T.
Super song performed by a super lady in super 1976 on TOTP. Love the video too, at the chateau with Bonnie in a red dress.
Bonnie Tyler list in France can't find her way
Same Year as Abba sang Fernando there 😚
Wow, my favorite pop of 1976.

Driving me mad where I've heard that opening riff before then I twigged it was the Beach boys "Then I kissed her".
I listened to this when I was a kid and never made the connection with the riff but listening to it now I noticed that the riff is the same as Then I kissed her.
She looks very young here
Yeah ! 😎👍💕💃
My first Slow Dancing with an Girl

Just 25 at the time.
Bonnie Tyler lost in France could she not find her way?
It's the female answer to "24 hours from Tulsa"
Where was le sat nav when she needed it?

Are we here to do phonetics??
@@niconiclot4335 no but its really nasty to hear the hissing on the recording! it ruins the song a tad.
Petra was hat Bonnie Tyler mit Pierre Brice zu tun?
+Dirk B 1977 haben beiden einen 'Bravo Award' gewonnen.
She looks and sounds more like Olivia Newton John than Bonnie Taylor.
first hit 4 bonnie writen by mike bat lol
Why does noel Edmonds always have weird hair cuts
'Cos he's an arse perhps?
EVERYBODY had different hair cuts in the 70s!
he is indeed a rectum!

Techstar Same as Bonnie's.
She used to be attractive :-)
I guess her visa's expired by now. ZUT ALORS!
Her voice is much more appealing on this track than when she had vocal cord problems, for me the husky voice makes me cringe
She aged 40 years in 10
