One heat cycle is the recommendation for larger dogs. It relates to their risk of developing cervical or ovarian cancer later in life. Once she finishes her heat cycle, call the vet to schedule her procedure - there’s a window after the first cycle they recommend doing it in that the vet will know.
Also, kudos getting the diaper on her! Our German shepherd acted like we were trying to murder her so she ended up being a free bleeder😂

Just a recommendation on the crampy period front, try FLO gummy vitamins. I started taking them about 6 months ago and they've helped my cramps and other period symptoms (nausea, headaches, urge to disembowel men, etc) immensely. Also, I vote tapestry in the yoga room 😊

I have a suggestion on the apron belly running problem! I use one of those belly bands that are supposed to make you sweat more, it like wraps around and velcros if that makes sense? But it stops all the movement since it’s sorta sucking things in!
I was thinking pregnancy yoga pants until you run the belly off (or at least down); your idea sounds good too
I was gonna suggest something similar like a pregnancy band. Or even maternity work out clothes where the waist is super high.
Ive worn two pair of supportive undies not like spanx just something more supportive. It helps!
Re: the Tree. What I've done in the past is to remove all the decorations (option to leave on the lights) and keep the tree for as long as it looks okay. I usually move it too. I tell myself it's kinda like a house plant!
Also, taking off the ornaments while it feels good is SO much better than when it's dried up and impaling you with each movement. That's my experience this January! 😅

Bea! Have a look at unitards made for aerial arts/circus! They’re usually quite breathable and designed to be skin tight so they don’t snag. You could layer it with anything you feel comfortable with! Good luck with running💗💗
Veterinarian here! Every heat cycle that she has will increase the risk of mammary cancer later in life. Spaying when more mature has shown positive correlation with healthy joint development, however, if you wait until after her 2nd heat cycle, the risk of cancer goes from approximately 8% to 26%.
Sorry your cycle was rough! If you had an injury or illness three months ago (I remember that you've been through a lot lately!) that could have influenced things. It takes that long for the egg to do its thing. That's why doctors always say try xyz birth control for three months to see how it affects you. I really recommend The Period Repair Manual for help. She does talk about PCOS as well. Since you have two guinea pig arts, put one in each place. The postcard is guinea pig sized...
I find The Period Repair Manual should be taken with a grain of salt. It's very anti contraceptive pill and for no real reason. Doesn't even address that some people with PCOS have sensitivity to progesterone only BC so anything other than the pill will not work well for them and can make things like PMDD worse. I honestly wish I never read it because it made me stop the pill and try the IUD which was a truly horrible experience.

When I make black eyed peas, I sauté onions, garlic & shiitake mushrooms (for a meaty/umami flavor), then I add the BEP & broth of some kind (my people also used hammocks, smoked turkey necks, or a few drops of liquid smoke if you don’t have those other things). Yours look like they turned out great!!

Highly recommend getting a body suit with snaps that is comfortable for running. Then you don’t need to take everything off when you go to the washroom! That’s what I do, and it really helps with the struggle!

For black eyed peas, you're supposed to add a smoked meat..ham hocks, etc. My mom sometimes uses smoked turkey wings and adds some sugar to cut the bitterness along with other seasonings. Coming from a southern family, we have them every year on New Year's day, with a side of collard greens (for money in the new year), candied yams, some sort of pork meat or chicken and cornbread (for wealth in the new year).

I highly reccomend you look into pants with draw strings to help keep them in place. It works for me of not worrying about my pants slipping down. Hope this helps!

I love how real you are about life. It isn't always graceful and clean like some want us to believe. It's messy. It's doggie periods while on your period. It's losing cords unintentionally and realizing there is no recovery (oh! Maybe goodwill has a Instapot and you can hijack the cord from it.)

I run a lot and I truly dread running in the winter because of the leggings falling down issue. I either run in running shorts (yes it’s horrible until my body warms up) OR I run in Nike running pants. They’re similar to joggers but a different material and the waist has a draw string that ties. They are loose and lightweight. A great solution to the leggings problem!
Tapestry 100 % in the yoga room. I'd be afraid it would absorb some smells being directly above the guinea pigs. 🤷🏼♀️

Asics leggings are the best for me. For reference, I'm 5'5" and 195. The asic xl fits me. I have the "apron belly," and most leggings roll or fall around the waist. I run frequently and have tested a few brands.

The Running-clothe-issue reminded me of a method I used, when I had my c-section and felt better, when I held my belly while walking. To have my hands free, I wrapped a piece of fabric/a shawl around my middle, so that nothing would wiggle and hurt my incision. I know it sounds weird😅, but it really helped and maybe it would help similarly with the running? 😊
Bea, you can mix a can of black eyed peas with sliced greens onions, cilantro, chopped tomatoes, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and cumin...it makes an unbelievable salsa with tortilla chips! 💜

My vigorous workout wear solution has always been to wear a super tight tank top that’s really long tucked into a pant with a drawstring that’s tied as tight and as high as I can get it and then layer a long really baggy top over. I have never considered a onesie for the same bathroom reasons lmao

My son would get completely undressed to poo, even in public restrooms, up until he was like 8. We have no idea why, he just preferred it that way. The first time he pooed with clothes on, he was so excited 😂 hopefully him growing out of that will prevent him from becoming a gigalo.
When I was in the Army there were several men in my unit who said they fully unclothed themselves when

The only time I have ever had to do this was the only time that I wished I could be a guy to go. I was in a small mountain town in another country in the house my ex had been born and raised in. I was fine for the first few hours and then he showed me where the bathroom was. The "bathroom" was a tap on a 4 foot pole in the alley between his house and the house next door. There was a fence between me and the street, but if the people across the street had wished to sit on their balcony in their rocking chairs and watch me, they could have. So that meant that every time I needed to use the bathroom, I had to go to someone else's house or take a full shower

I have a "Buffalo" hump on back of my neck also mine is caused by adrenal insufficiency which I take meds for and it will make you very tired as well..
They can also be caused by Cushing's disease and cervical spine abnormalities as well..
I imagine you probably ran across these online...but for adrenal insufficiency or Cushing's you would need blood work as well as a 24 hr urine collection..
So if you don't notice improvement you may want to have a Dr investigate further

I’m working my way to my goal weight then getting a tummy tuck. I’ll admit I’ve been tempted to get a plus size tummy tuck but I want to do this once! So I’m sticking to the goal down 15kg 20kg to go before surgery in 12 months.

Yoga Room, its a good vibe reminder and more practical with the sound echoing reduction i feel like it would be redundant to put it over the guinea pigs because just looking at guinea pigs you know its already gonna be a great day, but also less practical use beside just fun decor, thats how i think about it anyway, whatever makes you happy

Saw your bath caulking! It’s so new to look like that already! Looks like the contractors did not fill the bathtub up to account for shrinking when the caulked the edge. Easy fix though
magnesium citrate is great for the bath and to drink for cramps and magnesium glycinate is great for sleepy time help. also a topical magnesium on your stomach helps too.
