I love it everytime Baumi explains how Dota works or how it differs from hero to hero. I loved the story about how Dota isn't Dota anymore and I can't wait for the videos about hero history.
Fun fact: in old dota, im talking the frozen throne mod days, but the way spirit breakers bash worked was it happens BEFORE the attack, so if you have enough attacks speed(not even a lot mind you) you can actually spam right click on the enemy and S to stop the attack to "perma stun" the enemy... Bash didnt do much damage and its still 17% so it was not a good strat, but it can happen

But I can tell you that Evasion is cap at 100%, while Blind can exceed it, meaning that technically you still can have 100% miss rate with mkb.
What I like about the pseude-random distribution, is that you can work around it and make it work in your favor. You can keep track of how often you've failed to get a proc on the chance, then you know roughly how much the pseudo-random chance is in your favor for the next event.
For example, you're playing Phantom Assassin, and you're just last hitting creeps at level 6. If you count how many attacks you do without critting, and you reach 5, 6, 7, maybe even 8 attacks without a crit, then you know that you can jump on a hero and are much more likely to get a crit on the hero than if you were to jump on someone after just critting a creep. Works the same for bashes, and even for other weirder chance based events like Phantom Lancer's Juxtapose.
that Lycan pick was actually big brain, you can just give infinite damage to your allies so they can focus on permabashes or other BS

Baumi, could you do Dota but you can only upgrade useless/ dumb stats (such as knockback height, or more movement slow on take aim, etc…)
I really love how Baumi talk about how language changes and how we shouldn't be pedantic and just understand each other, and then has 2h rants about "what is a game", "what is fun" and "a car is a taco that is a sandwitch" (ok a little hyperbole here). I, for one, am slightly unhappy with how "sci-fi" is understood, precisely because i really enjoy "hard scifi" and consider star wars a nice action flick in an interesting environs. To everyone their own but i am a firm proponent that scifi (and, tbh startrek and stargate, which i love) is mostly a fantasy, maybe drama, in space. For me, scifi needs to have something in addition to "quantum" and "spaceships", possibly "lasers". #endrant

I agree that there is no reason to be pedantic and die on hill about the old meaning of Science Fiction, but I do think it's also important to be able to talk about the ideas of Traditional Science Fiction, I see a lot of young writers & readers have the opinion that sci-fi and fantasy are the same thing with different window dressing, and while that's true of a lot of modern work it wasn't as historically true, fantasy, tends to revolve around mythos and symbolism, whereas sci-fi was about how technology shapes us and the possible results of such technologies.
The Jurassic movies are Sci-fi that revolve mostly around gene manipulation. There are plenty of real scientific ideas in there and real warnings about the dangers of new tech. Canadians really are trying to bring mammoths back from the dead.
Everything Everywhere All At Once is much more fantasy, yes it's about sci-fi tech, but it's not about the implications of the tech as much as it's creating a symbolic environment to explore the dynamics of a broken family.
Not being able to distinguish between speculative elements and symbolic elements (there is overlap of course) makes it harder for people to talk intelligently about stories, even though modern fiction blurs the lines, there is still value in understanding differences deeper than surface level aesthetics
