Hi. I have a coup of discos. I use the skycontroller 1 on them as instead of the camera only going up and down you control it all around. Get some good range from it too
im really sad they discontinued the Disco, i really wanted one after watching a few videos only to find out they stopped producing it, hard to find a alternative either :l
Get a refurbished one on ebay/amazon right now...generally as of today, going for around 470 USD. I got mine this way, no issues, flies right, and there are still plenty of replacement parts out there...i'd do it know before we get regulated right out of a hobby in the next few years....
Helderhugo all my flights and videos have been made with headtracking on the Disco... it is so fun to fly around places and watch them by looking sideways... (most of the time, it is forbidden to fly over...). Auriga for Android devices is perfect for it (and I love the ILS feature too...). I’ll wait for one video from you with headtracking on a Disco impatiently... ;) ( don’t forget to configure a reset/center button ... as you move to keep the directional WiFi...)
Loved the video. Unless I missed them I haven't see any recent videos with the Disco. Are you still flying it? Someone was selling a brand new one for $400 and I'm very tempted to purchase it. I'd love to chat with someone that owns one to answer some questions and address my concerns before I purchase. Here are some of the questions I have: 1 - I assume there is an automated landing capability? If so how accurate is it? Can you make minor steering changes to the drone if it is in automated landing mode or does that cancel out the landing. 2 - How difficult is it to land manually? 3 - How much clear space do you need to be able to land it. There are some fields in my area but they tend to be surrounded by trees or other obstructions around the field...so if the Disco requires a long low path to land that could make those fields risky for a landing (hence my earlier question about making minor steering adjustments during an automated landing). 4 - Did you ever consider making the 4G flight mod to give you relatively unlimited flight distance (except for battery limit)? 5 - How does the Disco hold up over time...given that every landing is kind of a crash landing? And must you land it on a grassy field to avoid damage..One the fields I'm thinking of flying from is mostly grass but some small gravel as well and I'm wondering if that would chew up the Disco bottom over time and eventually destroy it? 6 - Would you recommend the Disco? What are the key considerations one should think about before purchasing the Disco (other than price)? Any key downsides to owning the Disco? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks in advance, Jet

And would it be a easy fix vs cost etc. I trust your videos and experience and any feedback would be appreciated D- Australia
Hi. The camera out of focus maybe become because of some bad landings? Does the camera have scratches or marks due to crash landings? We can fix the focus of the camera but it is a risky process. Because the camera is sealed and when we broke the seal we have to manually focus and then seal it again like in the Bebop Drones. It's not impossible but it's a little dificult to do it. I remember some Bebop 2 drones cameras become out of focus because of the heat and because of the crasshes. The Disco camera is almost the same camera.
