    Kidd deserves his flowers.
    Confident he can manage this team.
    Wish we can offload Luka and prepare him for another playoff run

    Mad respect to Jason Kidd. He’s proved his OWN haters wrong, he’s an excellent coach. And most importantly he has the RESPECT from his star players, Luka Kyrie and Klay.
    They listen to him and he wants the best for them because he’s at worst a Top 10 PG of all time himself.
    Mavs are going to win it all

    Kidd is at least a top 6 coach currently if not higher. Great sitdown! Much obliged.

    Kidd has evolved so much as coach is great to see! I’m intrigued by what he learned from Phil Jackson and if they will put in some of the triangle concepts this year.
    I feel like with more offensive options that we could see Luka’s scoring more around 27-28 pts, but much higher assists. MJ won his first title with the triangle and his scoring average come down. Let’s go Mavs! Great interview

    Love hearing the points about Luka not always bringing the ball up court and playing from different positions on the court

      Actually, thats crucial to the Mavs' success. Luka should study Larry Bird off the ball skills, and he has to speed up his pace.

    The best thing I heard this offseason is Kidd saying the goal is not having Luka bring the ball up the court as much. He can't dominate the ball so much, otherwise this team will not meet its potential, and win a championship. Obviously, this includes playing with even more pace, which means that Luka cannot bring the ball up every time...whatever guard has the ball must push it ( or pass it ahead) and everyone else fill lanes!

      They would have won the championship if Kyrie or PJ had made their average points. What they did got them to the finals.

      @@deedeecurtis Luka’s the common denominator. Luka’s inability to play defense is the reason the Mavs have ONLY signed defensive guys. Derrick Jones, Lively, Gafford, OMax, PJ, Grimes, Naji, and Grant Williams. Can’t win that way

    • @Musso8771
      @Musso8771 6 днів тому

      I said last year that someone faster should bring it up and put some pressure on the defense immediately to get them moving, than dump it to Luka once the defense has already broken down a little. That will create so many more opportunities for him to exploit. Half the time he's fighting through a double team as soon as he crosses half court and that's gotta change.

    • @MaddNomad1015
      @MaddNomad1015 6 днів тому

      That’s how it should be anyways. Luka isn’t a point, he’s a SF. He plays point so he can have the ball all the time. Even pushing him to SG would be better than being so ball dominant

    Spencer is better than Exum. Whenever Exum is on the court he don't know how to create for himself that's why the opposing teams always expect him to pass. Spence is more offensive threat

  • @Thedrunkguy1
    @Thedrunkguy1 6 днів тому +1

    Why are we doing this again? Dante over Spencer?????? I hope this was just for locker room politics and he knows Spencer will be the first or second guard off the bench, but just wants to wait until after camp to say he earned it. If Dante is the back up point guard, Luka will be playing 38 minutes per game again. SMH

      Dante shot nearly 50% from 3 and was one of our best on ball creators over the course of the regular season last yr, Dinwiddie was terrible offensively in LA. I think Dante as our second string PG is a good choice for now but def open to Dinwiddie taking that spot if he looks anything like the player we saw during our 2022 wcf run

      @@cartierr6717 I was of the opinion, Exum should've started over DJJ. Exum takes the ball out of Luka/Kyrie's hands and shoots the three VERY well. Exum got hurt then lost his minutes. Why do fans pretend Exum didn't average 6 minutes in the playoffs? He's faaaaaar more impactful if he's given the green light.
