And yea with the new TC03, VOLTA seems to have really stepped up to fill PSYQUI's place in terms of sounding funky / footworky in the production of hardcore. PSYQUI is obviously still active, but he seems to have been sticking to live events and some productions for niche pop things, similar to what happened to Yunomi I guess? His most recent additions to Spotify are some tracks he made for CHUNITHM and maimai, and I wish his WACCA releases were released considering how popular tracks like Eyes On Me are. Anyways, VOLTA is probably one of the best new additions to MEGAREX, because even though other artists are good, they obviously have a different feel (Mame is a very particular complextro influence, Srav3R is lo-fi x UKHC, the Korean trio of Zekk & KARUT & poplavor all have distinctive styles, and rejection has Trap influence). Related note, but lapix has been "missing" from compilations since BC02 (2020).
