We embark on this captivating initial stroll through the heart of Medellín, starting from the renowned Oriental Avenue, the primary thoroughfare connecting the city to its metropolitan area.
We traverse the bustling streets of Medellín, teeming with vendors peddling various wares, until we find ourselves facing the imposing and iconic Coltejer building, known for its distinctive needle-like design that pays homage to the city's traditional tailoring culture.
Turning a corner, we arrive at the remarkable Palace of Culture (Palacio de Cultura), a striking and unique monument in the vicinity. From there, we step into the enchanting world of Botero Square (Plaza de Botero), where we encounter the inflated sculptures created by the famous Colombian artist Fernando Botero, before returning to the vibrant hubbub of commerce along Carabobo Avenue.
As our journey nears its conclusion, we briefly visit the Park of Lights (Parque de las luces), leading to the main San Juan Avenue, which guides us to the heart of Medellín's textile trade district. Finally, we arrive at the San Antonio subway station, marking the end of our excursion.
