How To Fix Trunk on Rav4 lid Not Opening

rav4 trunk replacement was done by me and the shocks where replace because i didnt have sensors on the truck where missing and there over $600 i didnt want to spend to have my truck to open slow so i only spend under $80 to get regular installed and i absolutely dont regret it

Hello good afternoon from Spain, I have the rav4 like yours from 2015. Currently I have problems with the tailgate that is electric and it does not open. I have gone to the Toyota workshop and they tell me that the repair could be 1500 Euros. I am very clear that I want to put the usual shock absorbers and remove the electric motors.
Do you have a link or any reference of your shock absorbers to buy them?
Do you have the reference of the supports where the shock absorbers are placed?
Do you have to deactivate any alarm system once you disconnect the electric motors?

if as you said sold the motor of course you cannot open the auto door, but why you need to press the button after you changed to manual door?

Yes but after you reengaged through the glovebox, you didn’t test the button on the panel next to the steering column.

I found there's a setting in the driver display to turn it off (instructions in owner's manual) -- if you push the < or > buttons on the left side of the wheel and go into the settings you'll find a liftgate icon
