driver test tips Before you drive they will check: - drivers window - windshields - rear view mirrors - turn signals front nd back - brake lights - tires - foot brake - horn - emergency parking - windshield wipers - arm signals - defrosters - hazard lights or emergency flashers - headlights - passenger box - glove box - seat belts only can make 15 mistakes and 3 on the check up before u actually drive - over exaggerate everything ex. when switching lanes exaggerate your head movement making sure no cars are coming on the lane you’re switching to - stay calm and collective 🧘🏻♂️ - stay speed limit if you don’t know it it’s always 25 mph - 20 mph in a school zone 🚸 - ACT like u care - be extra aware of your surroundings!
I was practicing driving on the public street and speed limit was 25 mph which I was going a little over and obeying stop signs but someone behind me was tailgating me the whole time and ended up cutting me off and almost hit me and was hella honking at me making fun of me by going “slow” because when they cut me off and got in front of me they started to go 5 mph🤦♀️ ugh
Good advice just one correction ; if you don’t know the speed here’s the rule of thumb , one lane =25 miles , 2 lanes = 35 miles , 3 lanes =45 miles, you will get points marked off if you drive too slow as driving to slow counts as a driving hazard, you can get hit behind if you don’t keep up to the speed limit
@@lunablue19 I actually didn’t think about the mileage with how many lanes there are. I live in a big city so doing my driving test today is nerve wracking to me…. Because when I do drive down here alone without the test I don’t think they would pass me 🤣🙃 I took the test when I was 18 and then 5 years later there making me take the test again EXCEPT this time I CAN *pArAlLeL pArK* I got 4 points taken last time, but still got my license. EDIT: *I found out you can get up to 20 points taken off to obtain your license in my state and I got 8 taken off for blocking an interstate on-ramp intersection..thats what “right turn on red” gets me* 🪦🪦

I’m 22, whoever is reading this I believe in you. It’s been more than a year now; I've been taking my driving test and I never make it through the parallel parking. This year i decided to take a step further by hiring a Professional and License Dmv agent that help send a Proposal of emergency to skip my test. And I was able to get my license. I really love this process. Not even my next generation will test drive. once they start driving, everything is normal.
I passed my road test today! Remember always check your blind spots! And turn your head in the direction you are moving to. Two hands on the wheel!!! Good luck everyone and pray before taking the road test.
@@ffairyz5008 honestly just take your parralell parking real slow and try to feel comfortable doing that! Other then that the driving around part it self is pretty simple just go a little bit under the speed limit and stay and as smooth controlled as you can when driving down the road and my last tip is just make sure you are paying attention as much as you can to stop signs, lights, etc! You should be fine just try not to be nervous and take your time with it no need to rush oh and use your blinkers all the time and make full stops at every stop sign!!
After failing my driving test twice, I finally got my license without having to retake the test. I noticed that many instructors seem to fail students on purpose, probably because it lines their pockets when we have to come back for another try. To get around this, I decided to contact a private licensed DMV attorney who assisted me in writing a letter to request a provisional license. Thanks to the help, my provisional license was delivered right to my mailbox box which isn't much different from an official license.
hi! can you explain a bit better what does a provisional license mean? is it the same as the learners permit, meaning that you can only drive with another licensed driver in the car or what ?
I got my permit at 16 and I'm now 18 and I'm so scared of driving I never went back. I probably need to tho cuz my permit expired and it's not like I can use it for the rest of my life but I also can't even park a car. So they'd probably fail me if I went since I haven't even been on a road with more than one lane and I need my license for my car insurance. Please can you recommend the test drive attorney who did yours?
@@Laurencelynn-w1u hi sorry for the delayed response, the provisional license grants individuals more driving privileges and fewer restrictions than a permit allowing us to drive unsupervised but with certain conditions such as time restriction or limitation on the number of passengers.
I passed with 94! The buildup is so much more stressful than the test itself and your practice will take over, you got this! (Just make sure not to hit any cones because that’s an automatic fail)

Passed my test litterally an hour after watching! Good luck to everyone who is about to test! Don’t be nervous it’s actually much easier than I had thought
Just passed! I had never been more nervous for anything ever in my life so if you are it’s okay! You got it, you’ve practiced, and you clearly care because you’re watching these videos, good luck to all it’s nowhere near as hard as it seems.
I just passed the test (it’s really not as bad as you think). I was in the same shoes as a lot of people frantically searching for how to pass and what not to do and blah blah, and I passed with a 96 or something. Dont over-stress yourself. Be confident (not stupid) and just appear in control the whole time. Also use your manners because the person testing you has the power to fail you at any point. YOU GOT THIS!
I PASSED MINE LAST WEEK AND GOT MY LICENSE FROM THE MAIL YESTERDAY WOOHOO GOD BE WITH YOU ALL YOU CAN DO IT I BELIEVE IN YOU IN JESUS NAME YOU CAN DO IT!
I have my test tomorrow at 8:30 AM. I’m TERRIFIED as I had to overcome some driving anxiety after damaging my mother’s car on a guardrail 8 months ago. The only things I’m really worried about are back parking and parallel parking. My front parking is okay but could use some work because I get a bit crooked. Wish me luck! EDIT: Failed with only minor faults. Trying again in 14 days EDIT 2: PASSED WITH 1 MINOR FAULT!! 😁
I’m 29 and have been putting this off for far too long. Anxiety and fear of failure gets the best of me but I’d rather fail and get it out of the way then live the rest of my life like this.. test is in one day!
Just passed my drivers test on the first try and I wanted to thank you for your videos because last night before my drivers test I watched your videos and they helped me plus with my experience in a car crash lol but I passed I finally did it and to everyone else who’s struggling with getting their licenses you got it don’t worry just keep practicing and keep pushing because your never alone when God and Jesus is always on your side good luck to the ones going to take their drivers licenses I know you can do it amen❤️
I failed twice. The first time for doing a rolling stop, the second for missing a stop sign. I’m so discouraged but I will try again. The third time is the charm. 😢 Update; the third time was really the charm for me because I passed 🎉. I’m so happy. Please don’t let your failure discourage you. Keep trying. You’ll get it eventually.
I watched this video the day before my test it is very helpful, everyone is about to take their test just breathe don't be too nervous because you will make minor mistakes just because you're scared. remember you know how to drive that's why you're taking the test. I passed my first try and I believe you can too Good luck everyoneeee
I’m 26 years old and never learned how to drive, I just never really cared about it in high school and even shortly after I graduated lol 😬😳😆 my mom always drove me around, she passed away in march 2019 though. My older siblings drove/drive me around too/now. I’m thankful for both of them, because they don’t have to lol. But one of my goals for this year is to learn how to drive for myself and for my life/future. May God be with me as I learn. I’m kind of nervous/afraid. But I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. God bless you all and anyone who is learning how to drive!!!
Yo my test is in two weeks 🫠 and I’ve been practicing driving on and off for like two years… I’ll be 22 this year and I suffer from drivers anxiety heavily because of past accidents with others😢 Honestly I can drive very well but it’s just the other people on the road that makes my anxiety rise🥴 so I’ll update you guy’s once I take my test🤞🏾
I hope you passed. And the accidents, try not to fixate your mind on them. Stay grounded and remember to take YOUR time. Just do your part & keep a positive mindset. Nobody wants to get hurt. But I pray that there be safe drivers all around you; clear minded drivers. And that anxiety may not keep you from living a beautiful experience.
I’m 28, I’ve always been scared to drive, due to all the accidents I’ve heard about, so that really kinda discouraged me from wanting to drive, but ever since my two cousins started driving, I’ve been motivated to learn how to drive, recently, and I do watch driving videos everyday, it’s relaxing, tbh. my attention span was never up to par, so that’s why I couldn’t be trusted to get behind the wheel, but now I feel that my attention span has improved..all these questions actually discourage me from taking the test, because it’s too many, and I’m in philadelphia, PA, I sure do HOPE that I can pass the road test on my first try, but only time will tell when I’m really ready.
I’m taking my test tomorrow morning and I’m legitimately having a panic attack in bed worrying about if I’m missing anything. These comments are helping a lot.
I take my test next Tuesday! 4/26 I’ll update y’all! :) UPDATE: I passed! I was extremely nervous last night like I had a full on panic attack, but when I was at the DMV office I relaxed and listened to the examiner! I ended missing only one thing and that was my sharp right turn, I had right turned into the wrong lane (the lane closest to the center) but instead of freaking out and switching to the lane next to the curb, I kept my cool and stayed in the lane and acted as if I acted like I knew what I was doing, the examiner seemed like she appreciated it and had continued on the test like normal. So basically if you mess up, KEEP YOUR COMPOSURE. And don’t be afraid to reassure yourself with the examiner, like “this street right?” Or “I continue straight correct?” Btw I live in California :)
I’m almost 26, i have anxiety about taking my drivers test & this video is helping me so much. I’ve asked family questions but they couldn’t explain it like this. Thank you! 💙 I’m calling to make my appointment.
@@kekewolfe4434 i know how you feel, you will eventually do it! Don’t let anyone force you. You do it on your time! 💙 just practice! You’ll know when you’re ready!

Just got mine today. It feels like an anvil is off of my back. I’ve been wanting it since I was 19 now I’m 23 but it’s better late than never! Good luck to everyone out there
I take my road test today and I’m super nervous. I’ve been up watching videos and I’m very surprised at how many things I didn’t actually know. Please keep me in your spirits! I’m praying I pass!
@@tay1605 I took mine at a different program that is connected to the DMV. The instructor is more chill in my view and they just has a smaller list + they help you with pre test list like showing where left and right signals are.
@@tay1605 Mine was in Portland. I don’t really know what’s it’s there in your state/country, but I can tell you that I got so confident after getting my license. It’s just the permit part that was where I was little nervous. Although I dreamed to drive since I was 8, so I’m not going be a bad driver speeding or something
Don’t be nervous, and be confident in you’re driving. Give yourself some time before taking the test, that was my main mistake. If you make a mistake don’t worry about it, because the thinking will lead you to more mistakes.
My test is in 10 hours. Watching this video made me realize that my instructors never taught me how to parallel park but everything else I'm pretty secure on, so wish me good luck!! Update: I passed! I'll know my score soon! I didn't have to parallel park either! Update: I scored a 13 on drivesafe dunno what that means but I still passed. The test was literally if I could drive out of a busy parking lot, driving on residential streets without going through stop signs and also if I could make it back to the drive safe area. It was pretty easy, although if I were you I'd drive around on your own for a bit ( it's illegal to do so without another person so don't get caught. Even my instructors told me to do this so I could learn how to drive with myself and not rely on anyone.)
I live in MN and the parallel park and right hand park is a must on the test😂 my driving instructor told me I can fail the parallel park and the right hand park as long as I pass everything else😂😂
here to offer some relief to people who are astronomically anxious for their driving test like i was. i just took mine like an hour ago and i passed (texas)!! i definitely was more anxious and stressed about it than i needed to be. the whole thing took less than 20 minutes and i even almost completely screwed up my parallel parking. you don’t have to park in one go. you are able to back up and pull forward and adjust as much as you need to as long as you don’t hit the pole or the curb. the only thing she commented on was that i accidentally cut the corner when i made a left turn. just pay attention to your positioning, come to full stops at stop signs, and check your surroundings often. take a deep breath, i promise you’ve got this! (i was anxious about this 20 minute test MONTHS before i even had to take it. take it from me, you’ll do great). :) p.s. the test is much easier than you think
Im taking it this Tuesday in Texas. I’m normally a pretty confident and safe driver, but I’m scared I’m not going to pass. I literally can’t fail. I need to be able to drive myself places like school.
I Watched this before taking my test and I passed it! May God’s grace be with you, find peace in the name of Jesus because you will ace it !!!!!! It is not that hard guys. Just keep your cool and don’t over do it.
@@symonesuniverse Thanks. Make sure to use your turn signals. And try not to stress yourself out. The build up before the test is way more stressful than the actual test. You got this I BELIEVE IN YOU ! Let me know how it goes 😁
@@BeatzbyDra I passed!!! I did get some points deducted for not using all of my mirrors and making wide right turns but I got a 94 so I am thankful for that!!
you were defiantly correct about the nervous feelings. I got a little stressed out when the instructor started writing while I was driving but it turns out she was just filling in my information like my name and bday etc. lol
Y'all can do this!!! It's not nearly as hard as they say. All I had to do was parallel park and drive a loop around the block, and I had a super sweet instructor!
I’m also 22 I’m it’s gonna be my day today 2/1/2023 hope I pass 🫶🏼🙏🏼 anyone reading this you got this ! I’m super shy and antisocial but if I can do it so can you!!!!! Let’s go baby this is the year we cross out many things out of our bucket list!!!!!!!!!
Just passed my test on my third try, just wanted to let people to not do what i did, on my first test I failed because I wasn't coming to complete stops instead I was going very slow, I also went to fast remember 5 over is to much try you're best to stay exactly at the speed limit that way if you're aiming for that if you do go off it will only be a couple miles over or under try to correct it as soon as possible, on my second test I failed because remember when you are changing lanes to not only check your mirrors but to, turn signal as soon aS the examiner says and then check mirrors then check your blind spot by looking over once it is safe to do so then change lanes, my last mistake is remember to turn signal out of roundabouts right as you're about to leave the roundabout turn your right turn signal on. For colorado where I live the requirements aren't to clear, I took my test at two different places at the first one he said you are only allowed to have 2 traffic violations, I failed because I went over that however on my second test there weren't really an requirements she just failed me, on my third one I took my test as same place as second, and even though my driving was way worse than my second test I still passed, I guess it really depends on your examiner, most people I know passed on there second try it seems that places seem to be more lenient if you take a test there multiple times and will give you a discount, a good way to not be nervous is also remember that you can fail your license 3 times so its not the end of the world if you fail. Honestly the test itself is straight forward its just drive like you normally would I was definitely overthinking it, on my test all we did we go on main road for a maximum of 3 minutes then went through neighborhoods, both locations were like this so I think it is pretty standard however my biggest tip is pick a good time and location to go, my mistake is on my first one I went to a place 30 minutes away in a not so great part of town, the traffic there was insane it took a solid 5 minutes before i could turn at one point, so remember if you have the option setup an appointment at a time with less traffic, the earlier the better, on my second one i took it at around 9:30 which was great condition and no traffic, if you're really nervous my tip is don't think to much which sounds weird from someone who failed 2 times but in my mind the reason I failed is because I thought way to much, alot of the videos online point out that you should, constantly be looking at mirrors, constantly be scanning, constantly be checking your speedometer, make sure not to drift out of your lane, while these are important on the actual test if these aren't muscle memory then you should really practice more, for me I had probably 5 hours prior driving experience going into my test so on the test I kept stressing out because I forgot things and tried to hard to make sure my examiner understood i was scanning, this caused me to make mistakes. If you can don't be worried about failing your test just think of as a kind of driving lesson, many people spend 100's of dollars taking lessons so if you fail just think of it as a lesson, the examiners will do a job pointing out your mistakes and then on your second one its simple just drive the way you did before but be mindful of those things.
This video definitely helped me past my drivers test yesterday first time ♥️ I’ll say anybody getting training with an instructor before going for the road test it for certain wouldn’t hurt to look on UA-cam behind the scenes and get a load of tips that would really help on the road I can assure you the person training will be just as shocked as you 😂 literally watched this video a day before practicing for the road test and applied it and everything worked out perfectly
I just passed mine. I was confident in my driving but for some reason I got nervous. I knew how to parallel park and started over thinking it. I passed with a 97. Such a burden of my shoulders.
Make sure you don’t let your hands hover when you’re coming out of a turn! guide the wheel with your hands unlike letting it spin in your hands like they did in this video. my cousin failed for this!
Some guides and instructors actually prefer that you let the wheel go with controlled slippage, otherwise you may cause the car to jerk in a direction suddenly.
Gaaawsshh!!! I’m so nervous!! 😩 I have my test tomorrow and I’m trying to look at these videos for reference. I’m hoping that I pass!! I’ll keep y’all updated. Edit: Ok so……. I'm 16 rn. I was very nervous at first driving when I did my Segment 1 in 2022 when I was 15. Since then, I've practiced driving with my dad so much that we couldn't even log it all on the log book. We only logged about 70 hours total, but I've also had countless more hours that weren't logged. I probably have over 100 hours now of driving practice. Me and my dad have practiced on pretty busy areas too, like going on the expressway for a long period of time, going to farther places in my area, and even going through heavily busy and congested areas. So basically, a god damn lot of practice. Probably way too much practice for what I need for the most part, but I enjoy practicing, and there's nothing wrong with practicing a lot. I'm doing a practice session today with the driving school to see if I'm ready for the test for my license.. I feel excited and very confident as I have way too much practice lmao. I probably waited too long for it, but at least I filled it in with even more hours of practice! Will probably be doing my test this month or early next month. I feel very confident and I'm excited. Wish me luck!
Guys the test is really easy, I also did a really bad parking and did a switching lanes mistake , also passed with a -10 points . My advice for you just be relaxed DON’T BE STRESSED.
The bad thing is that I usually screw up when there's something that pops out of nowhere like a construction site popped out of nowhere which ruined the test, places where I'm unfamiliar, and when there's too many cars. Too many cars increases difficulty to switch lanes. And my parents find the blame in me for not problem solving.
I recommend going slowly like not to slow but somewhat slower than normal for construction site, school, etc. I usually drive awkwardly in unfamiliar Territory, Meh who am I to give out advice when I haven’t been got license yet, and road test being tmr 😅
I just turned 16 today, and I absorbed all the information I could, and this was the main helping source and I passed! Drove almost all day after I passed. I know you can do it, because I did it. good luck everyone!
just passed my test today. Taking my test soon, I'll try to come back and tell you guys what happens. I'm kind of scared but these comments made me feel a lot better. See you guys soon! Edit 1: Test is today Edit 2: I passed with a 94! Its really a lot easier than you think and like the other comments say the buildup is so much worse, I couldn't focus in any of my classes because of the thought of failing, but when I got driving, it was a lot more calm than anything. You can ask for reassurance on the was you're going like "this way, right?" But don't ask questions about things like when you're good to go on a turn or at a 4 way stop. I believe anybody reading this and taking the time to watch these videos has it in them! Dont stress yourself, you'll do just fine.
I just stopped by to comment after watching hundreds of videos, to thank Mr. Rolando very much, 20 minutes ago they called me from the school telling me that I passed the text, thank you Mr. Rolando God bless you greatly and your family for your advice to don't let the nerves betrayed me, and I never lost focus thanks, I cry with emotion.
Today I was extremely nervous, but even more when: 1. The examiner test me again with the vision and sign test (and failed with 2 questions) 2. The examiner had a extremely sober mood 3. When started the driving test, I forgot to adjust my seat and mirrors 4. And finally parked a little off Even though you feel that you will fail, stay focused and finish your test. Finally I passed!!! And you will
I took my test today and I passed!. Id like to thank this channel for the video and I passed because of it. Sending out positivity to those about to take their test. Just stay calm and focus. May God guide you all.
Im 22, and Ive been driving off and on for the last 2.5 years. I failed my driver test when I was 20, and it destroyed my confidence. I was so nervous that she failed me because of it. I had a break down so hard after she failed me that I had to have her drive me back in my car. I have another driver's test tommmorow, the goal is to pass, but also to drive myself back if I fail. Im having horrible anxiety, but these comments are really cheering me up. Im gonna update if I pass or not.
failed the 1st time bc i got a bad instructor who completely shattered my confidence with her attitude, and she wrote stuff that wasn’t true got 65 points off. 2nd which was a few hours ago apparently they didn’t see me “turn on my signal and use my blind spot” when they saw me use them failed again bc of that. Got 50 off it honestly infuriates me because i know i’m a decent driver and they make it seem like i’m not
I got mine on August 19 and I drive pretty well but it's just the anxiety that I hope won't get to me. Good luck to everyone else who has theirs coming up! :)

my test is august 5th. i’m pretty okay with driving, but sometimes i don’t make complete stops at the stops signs and my turns can be a little off sometimes. i also have trouble parking on the right side. but i’m going to the driving school a few times before my test. hopefully i pass.
mine is august 2nd and same here! im not great at parking and i dont always make full stops/long enough stops so i need to practice. my lesson instructor told me that to make sure you stop for 3 seconds at a stop sign, look left, right, then left again and it will add up to 3 seconds. also, he said if you have long hair put it in a ponytail/some hairystyle that will bounce and exaggerate when you make head movements so your tester knows that you are checking blindspots and stuff
driver test tips
Before you drive they will check:
- drivers window
- windshields
- rear view mirrors
- turn signals front nd back
- brake lights
- tires
- foot brake
- horn
- emergency parking
- windshield wipers
- arm signals
- defrosters
- hazard lights or emergency flashers
- headlights
- passenger box
- glove box
- seat belts
only can make 15 mistakes and 3 on the check up before u actually drive
- over exaggerate everything ex. when switching lanes exaggerate your head movement making sure no cars are coming on the lane you’re switching to
- stay calm and collective 🧘🏻♂️
- stay speed limit if you don’t know it it’s always 25 mph
- 20 mph in a school zone 🚸
- ACT like u care
- be extra aware of your surroundings!

So with the provisional license you can skip the road test?

I’ll update y’all! :)
UPDATE: I passed! And don’t be afraid to reassure yourself with the examiner, like “this street right?” Or “I continue straight correct?”

Good luck!

here to offer some relief to people who are astronomically anxious for their driving test like i was. i just took mine like an hour ago and i passed (texas)!! i definitely was more anxious and stressed about it than i needed to be. the whole thing took less than 20 minutes and i even almost completely screwed up my parallel parking. you don’t have to park in one go. you are able to back up and pull forward and adjust as much as you need to as long as you don’t hit the pole or the curb. the only thing she commented on was that i accidentally cut the corner when i made a left turn. just pay attention to your positioning, come to full stops at stop signs, and check your surroundings often. take a deep breath, i promise you’ve got this! (i was anxious about this 20 minute test MONTHS before i even had to take it. take it from me, you’ll do great). :)
p.s. the test is much easier than you think

Thank you so much getting mine in like 4 days and I feel much better now !
Thank you
What do you mean by this?
I passed while doing that
When you’re turning, once the turn is complete, do not let the wheel spin out of control. Guide the wheel back.
Some guides and instructors actually prefer that you let the wheel go with controlled slippage, otherwise you may cause the car to jerk in a direction suddenly.
I passed my test today the biggest tip I can give you is blinkers don’t let the nerves get to you I was so nervous and I kept messing up my blinkers

Just passed my test with 98/100. Went a little wide on one turn.

Which state?
@@danamcdonald9010 california!
So glad my state doesn't do parallel parking, but I learned it anyway. Getting as much practice in for my road test on the 27th. Here's hoping I get my license 🙏🏼 🙂.
I passed!! I’m so happy I tried not to watch videos like this because I know I get more nervous but, I did ask for tips to people that had already taken the test! & I practiced of course. Everyone is different! Do what you gotta do!
I’m taking my test @ 4:30pm today. 10/6/22 and I’m manifesting that I pass my first time!
Passing the DMV test is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don’t have time for your studies I’d advise you get yourself a help like Mr James
I’ve always believed DMV is not for all but studying, you need God’s grace to pass
@@annarosas1216 People keep talking about James all over UA-cam, he must be a very awesome help
@@linusfx2366 Yes you’re correct but remember heaven helps those who help themselves, try studying if you can’t study then get yourself a good help
I studied for months and couldn’t pass, I guess passing is a blessing.
@@susanedwards6856 DMV might seem so tough to pass but studying very hard is a very vital skill to win trust me
I take my test tomorrow at 10:20am and I’m so terrified of not passing or automatically failing please pray for me🙌🏽 UPDATE: I PASSED

In NY you can't put your hand over the passenger seat when backing out of the parking space, they'll deduct points for it for some reason
I passed my road test today !! I’m so happy tho you everyone

thank you for all your help @driving tv ..... i passed my first drivers test and i now have my license!!!
my test is august 5th. i’m pretty okay with driving, but sometimes i don’t make complete stops at the stops signs and my turns can be a little off sometimes. i also have trouble parking on the right side. but i’m going to the driving school a few times before my test. hopefully i pass.
mine is august 2nd and same here! im not great at parking and i dont always make full stops/long enough stops so i need to practice. my lesson instructor told me that to make sure you stop for 3 seconds at a stop sign, look left, right, then left again and it will add up to 3 seconds. also, he said if you have long hair put it in a ponytail/some hairystyle that will bounce and exaggerate when you make head movements so your tester knows that you are checking blindspots and stuff
I am so nervous for my test and it's in two days, so glad I watched this video before hand, give me any tips you think I need to know. Wish me luck!!
good luck
I PASSEDDDDD!!! Such a relief
