this is why you want to avoid the play in all costs. you never know when some random injury might happen in meaningless game.
Yup that’s why more teams should take seeding more seriously just to avoid the play in
Or not draft 300lbs high flyers number 1 and stake the franchise on him knowing he is injury prone
Yes but I don't think it's a meaningless game.. far from it tbh.
In Kings case they fell due to Huerter,Malik Monk injuries I believe they were 3 seed until those injuries just a few weeks ago. On the bright side they now have a lottery pick that was due to go to ATL from huerter trade that was lottery protected
Not a meaningless game though, also it's Zion, I had a bet that he would get injured in round one lmao
Such a shame as he was playing like a star in this game. Think LA would have lost this game if he wasn't injured.
His body can't hold the weight running full speed to the rim.. unfortunately I think he's going to have a short NBA career.. wish him the best..
Don’t be so pessimistic. He’s lost 25 pounds since the play in injury. This injury was just unlucky but he’ll be back better than ever
@@nathanbenson9166 he got no jump shot, no freethrows, just a one trick pony who always gets injured, how's he pessimistic? Don't be so blind
bro i just wanna see him dominate the playoffs like we know he can it was heartbreaking to see him walk off the court right after getting 40
Pelicans and Blazers are the GOATs @ drafting injury prone #1 overall picks
His still to heavy
Wdym
@@Pr3verbsHe's still too heavy. It's really simple. He's too heavy in general for a basketball player of his height. But especially for his explosiveness.
@@ThomasTheTankEngine22 yea I was reading more abt that
but that's what sets him apart from others
Better get some moves. Because running to the rim like a freight train is gonna keep him hurt
Man stays injured. Wish we could see the true potential career he could have
He play 68 games shut cho a$$ up
The Kings lost Malik Monk to injury so for both teams it's next man up.
& Huerter
The play in shouldn’t have to include the 7th seed it should be the 9th and 10th seed battling and the winner challenges the 8th seed team for that last playoff spot.
Nah
@@MrBasketballallday15 yes. Too much pressure to play a whole game just to then play a series, mf wouldn't have a full tank of gas like that.
Personally shouldn't be a play-in. If your in 9th & 10th, you got no business getting a CHANCE to get in the playoffs🤷🏿♂️
@@xDaPrincex it makes things a lot more competitive giving teams down there something to play for
I made a bet Zion would get injured in the first round & here he is in the first round of the play-in injured, meanwhile AD not only played the full game but made like 4 clutch freethrows. Oh by the way, ain't Kawhi injured too? But people stay wanting to clown Davis lmao
Kings are getting redemption tonight!
He’d be mvp candidate no injuries wuda been a guaranteed hofer
No. To put it in perspective, Giannis' only weakness is half court offense. Zion's only strength is half court offense and it is strictly weaker than Giannis'. Except Giannis also has great rebounding, great defense, and great transition offense. Giannis is outside top 4 in mvp voting. You can't be a player whose only strength is worse than another player's only weakness and expect to be a mvp candidate, not to mention said player is not a true mvp contender himself.
I understand dude is an exciting player. But he is barely a top 20 scorer, and a top 30 player to be generous. He is beyond overhyped by Americans.
That shoe injury fucked up his career he really shoulda sued
Welcome to being a Pelicans fan...non stop disappointment 😔🏀🇬🇧
I feel for you brotha, as a long time Knicks fan, I feel for you.
This why my MT 10 RK Zion is worth $10 🙄
OV-ER-RA-TED, they were gonna lose regardless just like he would get injured regardless, if he managed to even get into the 8th Seed, he woulda got injured by game 4 if they even managed to win a game. Lakers had no answer for him? They had no Answer for AD getting them rebounds, no answer for Lebron's IQ & passing either to be honest🤷🏿♂️
If you play less games than Kawhi or AD, you got a problem
AD has been playing a lot of games last year & this year so you can keep AD away from that now. Zion played though, Kawhi still injured 💀
Stop wearing lowcut shoes and lose bout 15 20 pounds
If I was Zion I would just focus on conditioning my body and keep up with healthy eating habits and he’ll be fine and bounce back
Thank you!! For the life of me !! I don't understand the low cut shoes in basketball !! Tape ya ankles and wear high tops. Just do everything you can to protect yourself. But they want to be cool as Kobe. Not realizing he got most of his (Kobe) after he went to the low cut .
Agreed! Dudes who get ankles sprains and continue to have hurt ankles I laugh at....like your playing basketball why tf you wear low tops....
oh
All of these injuries are seemingly linked to his weight. While he lost some weight this season (after coming into the season out of shape), he should probably lose at least 20-30 more pounds. Hopefully this setback doesn't cause him to revert back to bad habits!
Some players just injury prone. His play style doesn’t help. Elite athletic talent comes at a price sometimes.
I agree he should lose some more weight and be more lean and focus on his conditioning and he’ll be straight
His size is what makes him so dynamic though, he’s like a bowling ball. Losing size is losing strength and that’s really his calling card.
@@7eventy4u And that's why you don't bounce a bowling ball for long.

Kings
Pelicans wouldve been the 6 seed if they just beat the Lakers on Sunday
Now they will most likely miss the playoffs all together
Im a Lakers fan, but the play in system can be cruel sometimes. Smh
That's on them, it's cruel period but the Lakers is they're Kryptonite, Zion has no jump shot, Lakers play him well, Zion just made tough layups this game. Zion was gonna get injured regardless, it's ZION, it's what he do, sadly.
@@xDaPrincex true
Pelicans need to move off of Zion. The only time the Pels have made playoffs since he has been there is the year he didnt play a single minute.
Exactly. I been saying this, I said if Zion gets injured & Kawhi & the Clippers fail especially due to injury, I expect some changes from coaches to roster & everything. This could very well be the last year for Zion with the Pels & even Kawhi & PG on the Clippers.
Zion injured and Ingrum is just off one himself they gonan lose to the kings just to have better draft odds
He should play
The Kings are beating NO now that Zion isn’t going to play
Coach Green benched Brandon Ingram vs the Lakers but will expect him to save the day vs the Kings
You can't trash your body and expect it to hold up for you when you're ready to whip it back into shape.
Weight weight weight
It is crazy because if the Pelicans would have beaten the Spurs they would have already been the 6th seed and would have been able to rest, that is why I kinda don’t like the play-in
Always injured nothing new, he can't be the man he can't be the next face of nba he choke in the biggest game of he's career
Zion please turn to Jesus. You have done it your way, try Jesus. He will not only fix you, he will make you whole. I am telling you for SURE!!
40th points huh? Get your ish together Malika
What? He had 40 11 5 & L AND got injured yet again like I betted he would in the first round💀
Zion soft and is a let down
Why is she on here (Malika) ughhh
