@@Zeke1379That’s what I’m thinking as well. He may be living here now, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he decides to eventually return to Europe. He deserves to be happy, so, if he’s happier living in Barcelona or wherever, then that’s where he should go. Time will tell.
Messi truly sets a great example to look up to, especially for youngsters. The way he stays grounded and displays such humility, considering his level of success, this is truly remarkable.

Soy un viejo gringo del Estado de Idaho. Recuerdo que Pelé vino a Estados Unidos a jugar para el Cosmos en la década de 1970 y lo emocionante que fue. Crecí jugando al fútbol americano en las décadas de 1970 y 1980. Cuando escuché que posiblemente Messi vendría a jugar a Miami, no lo podía creer. Estoy tan emocionada. Traté de explicar lo emocionante que es el fútbol a mis amigos gringos, pero no entendieron. Ahora, al ver jugar a Messi en Apple, lo entienden.

I am a madridista, so i used to hate him. Only because he was scoring a lot of goals and playing really well for our rival, barcelona.
But once he moved to paris, really i have almost no reason to hate him. He's done practically nothing that harms the club that i support.
The goatwar is stupid. If you like football, support clubs, not players. Because clubs will continue to exist, while if you're doing the latter, your love for the game will fade away into nothing once the players retires.

@Viktorian88 He is still among the best, but it is clear he is not 2012 Messi anymore and it is ok, he accepted that too. It's not an attack on him to acknowledge that he slowed down a bit, even his old man version is amazing.
If we are talking about the speed, well, then it may not be like years before. But, IMHO the Messi I like the most is the one of the last 4 years. Assisting balls with a glove, spinning around rivals just with a move of his waist, and still scoring tons of goals, now he's just the total player, mature, the big captain, the leader inside and outside the field. Both the Copa América and the World Cup he played like nobody else can

Definitavamente es puertorriqueña (pero gringa). Se nota en su acento. Ahora que Messi está en Miami, estará más expuesto a las culturas latinoamericanas que no pudo experimentar tanto en Europa. Parece genuinamente interesado y feliz por eso porque lo mencionó en la conferencia de prensa.
