Kalafina is a vocal group created by composer/songwriter Yuki Kajiura (she's one of my main inspirations when writing cinematic orchestral music). I don't know if you're talking about the video for "Magia" at the beginning, but that's a great Kalafina song that has more of Kajiura's cinematic style to it. I have to say that "Let The Stars Fall Down" from the Fate/Zero anime is one of my all-time faves from her, and I believe one or two of the vocalists from Kalafina were used for the vocal parts on that piece.
yes, they are in charge of many popular anime's OP or ED songs, such as Black Butler, Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero... Would love if you guys reacted to their live performance of Yami no Uta to see a darker and theatrical side of them 🖤
The last part was a round, Hikaru at 6:06 was doing the first part and then after the first part was done, Keiko and Wakana both came in with the exact same lyrics while Hikaru did the next part of the song, which of course rounds are always fun to hear.
Hello guys, greetings from Canada!... My first time experiencing Japanese music back in 2011 was Kalafina. Today, I listen to BABYMETAL, Nana Mizuki, FLiP and NEGOTO, but nothing in 9½ years has ever surpassed the first Kalafina song I've heard, "red moon". I hope you get the hint (wink, wink)!... Have a nice day.
Kalafina is a vocal group created by my favorite composer Yuki Kajiura (before I discovered BAND-MAID😊) for singing the theme songs of Kara no Kyoukai (an anime movie series). Glad to see you reacting to them.
Kalafina 🤩 this was a great reaction! Try listening to Ongaku live 9+ One concert. There’s a lot of energy in that one. I stumbled across this searching up Kalafina so I’m curious what the song was you weren’t fond of. It was fun how much you enjoyed this one. :)
@@dicodec interesting! May have been an off performance then, it’s very rare for them but it happens to even the best. Awesome that you’re giving them a chance. 🖤
Their UA-cam live concert mixes always leave something to be desired. I’ve heard tell, in person, the mixes are great. Yeah, their guitarist is the Man, any style any time. They girls do that often, sound like more than they are. But it’s just them. Thanks for this one, first time hearing it.
Yes. Her vocal control and baritone really lasts the foundation for all the other singers to be elevated upon as they then begin to supplement and accompany eachother. Harmonizing. Many have said they were meant to sing together
One of the few bands I've listened to I love better when performing live! They're so amazing! My favorite member is Keiko but my favorite voice is Hikaru's 💕💕💕 Wakana's voice is so adorable too, if they could reunite again someday... Ufff 😢😢😢😢
@@dicodec And well as the trio being Kalafina, there is also Fiction Junction, which has basically the same musicians, who I believe work for the one female composer, and include some/all the Kalafina ladies as well as a few other beautiful n talented female singers. You'll like it, well one of you will for sure.
@@charleslatora5750 Not Latin. Although Kajiura san may include it in some songs. But she mainly uses phonetic singing that she calls 'Kajiurago", because she uses it so much. Just my 2cents.
@@animemusic269 The song that they’re referring to, Salva Nos, is indeed in latin (Kajiura wrote it before she came up with the concept of Kajiurago). The original version that’s on the anime Noir soundtrack is sung by Yuriko Kaida (fictionjunction) and the revamped version on the Fiction album is sung by Yuri Kasahara (an opera singer who’s made an appearance on a few Kajiura tracks). But thank you for your 2 cents I guess 😂

@@fariusf4514 Hello! Thank you for your comment. I'm glad to know that there are old "kalafina" fans like you abroad. As for Ms. Kajiura, she's well known to anime fans and people who know a lot about music, but unfortunately, she's not known to anyone outside of those people. She is a very talented person and I want everyone to know about her, but now that "kalafina" has disbanded, that chance is far away. But she is a top-notch lyricist, composer, and producer, so I'm sure everyone will eventually get to know her. I don't know someone like her.
