Thanks for sharing your families and the Total Eclipse with us today Evan and Rebecca. It was awesome and we had a good time with you all too. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and fun you share with everyone. Fred.
We are in Indy, and we had clear skies and 4 minutes of totality. Just before totality started a Great Blue Heron flew over the treetops heading for his rookery nest in the woods. All the other usual birdsong in our woods stopped. A few minutes later when it started to get light out, he flew back to the pond! That was one confused bird. I’m not surprised your chickens went to the barn door.
It was perfect here in NW Ohio, 100% total Eclipse. I wore welding helmet and the wife styling those fancy glasses. Our chickens ran in the coop, and the tree frogs started to sing. Next one 2044😊
Thanks Evan for sharing your eclipse, there has been quite a bit on the tv about the path across the United States and how lots of people had travelled there to watch it. Your video of the time it was happening was great and all the other things that you showed too. It certainly is a great experience, in Western Australia I have experienced five eclipses in my lifetime so far. One starting when i was in school and we all went out on the tarmac to look at it as it projected the image on to paper on to the ground The dates were 20 June 1974 23 Oct 1976 4 Dec 2002 13 Nov 2012 20 Apr 2023 Did you notice that it felt a bit colder to and all the birds stopped chirping and flying. It is quite silent during the eclipse Anyhow enough rambling on Thanks again for you great video Kind regards Neil
We were in the 80-90% of totality and then as the eclipse neared us it was completely clouded over. So no eclipse for us. (It did get a little dark, but not a whole lot.)
The shadow bands were something I thought was really cool to see. It looked like ripples going across water on the ground immediately after the totality
My memorable solar eclipse was February 1979 in northern Wisconsin but wasn't totality There was a thick blanket of snow and had rained a couple days before the eclipse. There was an ice sheet all over the rolling hills landscape. During the eclipse, the blue sky refracted in the ice sheet with changing hues of blue as the sun tracked across the sky.
I really enjoyed the experience even though we were only in the 90% area. I was running the tractor so I brought my welding helmet with me so I could stop and check the progress. Looks like you all had a great time! 👊😎🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔
We were in the path of totality here in central Ohio too. Pretty wild event. We got REALLY lucky with the weather. Thanks for recording this Evan. Pretty cool
Amazing video. Looked like you had a fantastic family gathering also. The smashburgers looked wonderful. Made my mouth water. LOL Thanks for putting this together.
sprint eclipse day having a brain tumor removed and nothing like all the hospital staff showing pics They took but glad I got to see your video. Felt like i experienced it myself including all the family running around
It was an awesome experience all the street lights came on in Marshall we had a cookout and parking lot party at work all afternoon and watched to eclipse I saw the part of the partial eclipse we had here in 2017 but it got cloudy before it got good but the total eclipse was definitely an experience and I’m glad the weather and everything worked for us to be able to see it
I saw the last total eclipse in Grand Island Nebraska, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. One of the coolest parts, was the 'dappled sunlight' coming through the leaves of the trees, all turned into crescents, as the eclipse progressed. There's is a video of it on my channel for anyone interested. Cool video R&E!
The eclipse was an amazing experience it was a first for myself and family. Here in northeast Texas the center line of the eclipse was almost dead center of our town and just a few hundred feet away from our house
Thanks for sharing, in my part of Virginia we had about 80%. I was in the house and didn't even notice a difference. Looks like a good time was had by all at your place. It was neat to see the reaction by the chickens. Those that came back to the barn & coop area looked like they were saying..."wait a minute, we haven't been out all day". LOL
I am in east Kentucky. We didn't have total, only about 90% I think. Also, it was cloudy here. The light did dim, and it was clear around the sun just at the beginning of the eclipse. My chickens didn't change their behavior at all, but my horse to come up to the run in because that's where she goes to get fed at night. At least, that's what I think was going through her mind. I did notice a drop in temperature which surprised me. I was not expecting it to cool down like it did. Of course, the clouds cleared not long after the eclipse.
While you are editing this notice the birds and the noise they were making until the eclipse, the silence.until it finished it’s s path, while your making so many hamburgers, make mine a double cheeseburger with double grilled onions. Now we’re talking! Great video!
We experienced the total eclipse in 1999 in Germany and we noticed that the birds stoped singing and everything got very quiet. Than we‘ve been to the north rim of the Grand Canyon in 2017 and experienced a 70% eclipse. We noticed almost the same. It got a lot quieter, but not so quit as with a total eclipse. Both experiences were really a unique experience that we don’t want to miss.
Here in NW Ont. Canada we were to have a total as well but being the time of year I knew we wouldn't see a thing. Spring winter an fall it always really heavy over cast. Every day is like fall hour before sun rise all day. We may see part of the sun here an there for a short bit some days an at most full sun 5 to 10 days between fall an late spring. That why solar don't work here. The last one I remember was mid summer an it was a half one. We got to see that one.. but this one it was dark dingy all day. Today raining all day.. dark an dull
Thank you Evan and Rebecca for the amount of effort which you made to allow us to experience a total solar eclipse. It was more than 47 years ago, in October 1976, that we experienced a total solar eclipse in Melbourne, Australia. We certainly felt the same kind of excitement. My memories of that event in 1976 had faded so much that it was refreshing to share in your experience.
We were in the 100% totality but the clouds rolled in right before so we couldn't see it but it did get dark and then it started to rain. I do remember the 1978 eclipse.
We watched it on lake Ontario in upstate New York. Unfortunately, it was pretty cloudy, but we saw a few good peaks of it, and you're right. The same thing once totality hit, 360° sunset.
I’m in buffalo and it was overcast but I still got glimpses of the ring at totality. A bird did freak out during it and almost hit me in the head then crashed into some brush behind me so there is something to birds acting weird during it.
my wife and i drove to northern TX (4+hrs) was off and on clouds but opened up for the totality , this is the 3rd eclipse for us in Columbia MO. in 2017 and drove to near Albuquerque NM for the partial last November i take my telescope and got some nice pics it is also great fun to see all the kids get excited (and us adults TOO) Have FUN everyone! great to have the entire country come together for the ECLIPSE
It was pretty amazing. I have some pretty good pictures taken with my phone camera (surprisingly good) and had the same experience with the 360 of sun around. That was pretty awesome and very different.
Forget the eclipse. I want one of those burgers.
Your coverage was excellent, better than some of the news stations!
Great episode! Great camera views including the drone footage! Well done my friend, well done. Blessings
Thank you, it's the best Eclipse coverage I have seen! I was especially interested in animal behavior. So much fun with the kids! 👍👍

Thank you for sharing this- i was busy helping a mom have a baby.
It was perfect here in NW Ohio, 100% total Eclipse. I wore welding helmet and the wife styling those fancy glasses. Our chickens ran in the coop, and the tree frogs started to sing. Next one 2044😊
Maté great video as always thanks again for sharing this and God bless you all
Thanks for showing us all how the solar eclipse went on ur farm. kids had fun, animals were ok.
Thanks for showing the eclipse. We didn’t get to see it here so it was very nice to somehow see it!
Nicely done. One family memory to add to the books❤

That was cool. Thank you for putting the thought and energy into setting up and sharing that!
They said that all the planets were visible during the eclipse
HI guys. Wow, talk about a well thought out science project. I loved hearing the experience everyone had. Peace.
Very interesting how the eclipse was. Best video I've seen so far about it.Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thanks for posting this. Awesome
The shadow bands were something I thought was really cool to see. It looked like ripples going across water on the ground immediately after the totality
Arizona couldn't get it. We weren't in the path.
Thanks for sharing. I'd like to be there when this happened. Burger and eclipse. Well done. Family is what it is all about.
That was a nice fogging morning in the bringing of video .

Luckily my Niece called me or I would have missed it totally. I'm around forty miles east for you.
We had a totality in the 2017 Eclipse in Kansas City, it is definitely a bucket list item.
Thank you for sharing the experience! Let’s do lunch! Burgers 🍔
We were in the path of totality here in central Ohio too. Pretty wild event. We got REALLY lucky with the weather. Thanks for recording this Evan. Pretty cool
Here it was calm and quiet

I live in NW Georgia and we had 70% dark, our dusk to dawn light came on.This is my second partial eclipse but have never seen a total eclipse
I would wear my welding helmet for sure Evan great video.
Hope you had a good eclipse
Enjoyed it!
Very cool video. Thanks for sharing all the observations.
Thank you for the video.
😂😂 the kids comments are the best!
Brilllllliant - thanks for sharing ⛵️ 👍
Pretty awesome! Only got to around 85-90% here in western NC but still cool.
Here in southeastern Ohio we were about 94% it was like sunset but nothing like you had. Thanks for a great video.
In 2017 I videoed the the landscape getting dark. And then light again. But I wasn’t able to capture the eclipse and the suns corona.
Thanks for sharing Evan

Thank you thank you for that...and the extra information about the sun ring. Awesomeness!😂😅😊

Man that’s awesome! Great idea with the drone, never thought of that. We only had about 65% here in northern Florida. Thanks for sharing.
Happened where I live 20yrs ago very cool
What a beautiful morning!
Cool video. Your channel subscribers are slowly but surely increasing👍
Great event thanks for sharing, plus those burgers looked fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing, our location had only a 40% coverage but always amazing !!

Great eclipse video. Best farm one I have seen. Great job!
Love your channel.
Seen the complete eclipse in New York, yes it was cool.
Thanks for showing the eclipse it was interesting. We had about 40% out here on the west coast. Those burgers look gooood!
The temperature dropped 9 degrees from beginning to total here in town.

Enjoyed the video with the eclipse, here in NJ it got cloudy an did see anything
if you was to use your welder's helmet to view the solar eclipse you need to use #14 welder's glass for solar eclipse viewing
my wife and i drove to northern TX (4+hrs) was off and on clouds but opened up for the totality , this is the 3rd eclipse for us in Columbia MO. in 2017 and drove to near Albuquerque NM for the partial last November i take my telescope and got some nice pics it is also great fun to see all the kids get excited (and us adults TOO) Have FUN everyone! great to have the entire country come together for the ECLIPSE

💖💖💖💖💖💖What a super and unique experience. I was actually moved by it all. Excellent filming on your part. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks for sharing. Here in Arizona it was a nothing burger
It was pretty amazing. I have some pretty good pictures taken with my phone camera (surprisingly good) and had the same experience with the 360 of sun around. That was pretty awesome and very different.
