Jason has loved green plums all his life. We planted fruit trees for the boys so they could have them.
Do you mind me asking what the name of the plums are. We had a green plum tree growing up but I can't remember the name and my Dad who's passed was the only one who knew the name🤦

Farm looks so pretty and green. Just like a Park!!
Lol. You don’t need to worry about mowing, you just need to get a fence around there and get some goats in a couple of cows or some sheep. ;) if you set up the pastures correctly that will pretty much feed them and you can do rotations and when one starts getting too high you can just let all the animals run over there and let the other one grow out. You can go get a bunch of rescue Ins from an egg farm and just let them run wild out there and eat the bugs and rodents too. The new place looks amazing. :)

So so happy you all got that land, woohoo!
Wanted to let y’all know if u don’t already, once y’all move completely to your new land and start full time living there that y’all can go down to your local courthouse where you pay land tax and let them know you want to homestead your property. You no longer have to have any farm animals, be on disability nor draw a social security check. The only thing you have to do is live there full time and have your mail sent to that address. We didn’t learn this until a yr after buying our property and it saves us almost $500 a yr in taxes. We don’t have to pay land tax anymore as long as you turn in your card they send in the mail before the end of December or just go down there to update them if any changes. We live between Clanton & Rockford. The ladies told us that was the state law. Congrats on y’all’s new property and I know y’all will all have a blast living there. Maybe one day we can meet and let y’all meet our granddaughter who just luvs y’all and Peaches & Nugget is her favorite even though she luvs chickens. She’s 4yrs old and I’ve already gotten her loving to watch gardening channels especially that has animals. My Hubby and I are teaching her how to plant & he’s been riding her on her own Kabota tractor since she was an infant. Yes first born, she’s spoiled. Haha. We’re now going on 8 grands. I know she will be taught how she will be independent and will know how to take care of herself and her family. Y’all are doing a great job teaching your daughter to never stop learning and also that she can do anything she puts her mind to it. Thk u.

The new farm looks so beautiful. I was sad y’all cut down all the blackberry bushes. I could eat them and raspberries all day long.
When you get your goats and all moved over to the new farm, they will keep that grass down on the part you pasture off. They are great for cleaning up trashy areas that are over grown too. Nugget will LOVE it!

Good morning on your beautiful day! I can see MC driving the little OT when you get it all refurbished! Just her size! She'll be helping you in your new HUGE garden at the new place! Any more sightings of the "King Rat"? You better dig up some of those hydrangeas for Peaches at the new place! That was a beautiful pond on the way to " Cog Hill Family Acres"! Maybe build your house on the highest part of the property. Have you visited the property when it rains to see how the property drains? You might have to give that plum tree a pruning since it has been neglected for so long! I have a feeling Peaches will be parked under those fruit trees and waiting for them to fall!! She won't need her persimmon tree anymore! Things are looking great! God Bless!

The more you mow the more good grass you will have! We have found that cutting ours according the Almanac had been the easiest way to control the weeds as the Bahaia grass seems to take over if it’s cut regularly.

With all that land to nourish you now have a place for all of your compost, and bird, goat manure, all the peelings from fresh veggies etc. This is going to be fun to watch this new farm grow. Would you please number all of your videos so we can see the progress?

Becareful out there in the tall grass near the trees. We were warned the copperheads are heavy this year. they are after the cicadas are bad and they are after them. Beautiful land you have.

We went from 84 yesterday to a high of 60 today spring time in Missouri.
looks like a natural place to build a small pond
What you need now is a hay rake. Set it down to thatch the field but at the same time picking up the dead boom grass to use in a compost pile. Believe me your field will become better. Do some soil samples to find out how much lime is needed per acre. Let the goats trim the field edges. Happy trails from New Hampshire
