I bought the Pod Go a few months ago and although I was baffled to begin with (modelling was new to me as I'd been out of regular playing for 20 years 😱 ) but thanks to your own excellent videos and also those of some other UA-camrs, it's quick and easy to become readily acquainted with it. I love mine and it does all I need. It's really revolutionised my home recording setup. Killer tones at 3.00am and no cops banging on my door. Keep up the good work, Buddy.
Thanks for the comparison! I'm a long time HX Stomp user and it's amazing. I was getting curios about the Pod express, but HX Stomp can def cover it all and do way more.
@13:28 I have found a way to use two footswitches and an expression pedal, if anyone is at all interested. If you get a DMC Micro midi controller, that has a footswitch/expression input. So if you use the midi pedal with the stomp, then you can plug a trs cable from the dual footswitch to that input, then the stomp has the expression free to use. Probably other ways too but no way of doing it without extra stuff
Great, informative content, thanks for posting. Yeah my take is there's a bunch of empty space after the Pod Express which is the one I went with. The new interface makes all the difference, to me this unit is a total steal now that it's so user-friendly.
@@JoshGordonGuitar the thing that bothers me is that this costs 200€ and the Boss Me90 costs 300€ and its a full unit with some sounds from the GT-1000. But of course, were talking on different concepts, and for its size the black express looks very nice for some specific uses. Thanks, brother. Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
I would like to use the stomps dual preamps to stereo amps. I use pod go to run the same preamp to two amps through the main outs... idk the amps are a tid different it might be better that it consistent with the same preamps.
Hi Josh, a question not directly related to these Line6 products :) Does your Koch hum (50/60Hz hum) whenever you plug anything in the FX loop return? Sorry for the unrelated question, but as I was watching the video I noticed the amp in the corner and I have been troubleshooting the hum with mine for months 🫣
Well, terrible is a bit strong for me. I do agree that it's not the most user friendly device and is limited. But one can get some great tones out of it. I felt I did get a few great presets from it. Ultimately I sold it as it did not fit all my needs.

POD Express is a cool device but yeah, if you have a Stomp you probably don't need the Express...maybe as a back up?

Nice tip! Thanks! :)
Hi Josh....Thabks for the videos. Well done stuff.
Thanks!

Agreed! Thanks for watching!
I think this video should have a sound comparisson.

Well, I sold the Express and Stomp so unfortunately I can’t now :)
@JoshGordonGuitar So you still have the Pod Go? Whats the diference in sound quality between the Pod Go and the Express?
Both use the same HX effects so they sound the same to me. However, the POD Go has WAY more options and effects than the Express.

I just wish there was a pedal where the reviewer said: this multi effects was perfect. I did not have to change anything!
We all wish for that :) I don't know if a perfect multi-effects unit even exists 🤷♂
Does the pod express let you select microphone models like the hx stomp?
No. It's quite limited compared to the POD Go or HX Stomp.

I’ve never used the FX loop on it. Have always just gone straight into the Input.
Do any of these also have acoust8c guitarcsettings?
The Stomp and POD Go have acoustic simulators...in the EQ pedal block section. No acoustic sim on the POD Express.
Doze the express have send&return
@@Thelma-q3v No, and that was mentioned as one of my “cons” against it.
The Pod Express is terrible in reality.
