I was happy with PSG Talon's performance. Wish they had made it out the Swiss but they had some solid looks and cheering for them while watching the BDS match was one of the most personally enjoyed matches I've watched live
I was really surprised by TL, Secret and M80 but also negatively impressed by G2, E1, Furia, Faze because on paper Furia and Faze shouldnt lose to BC and TL and well E1 looked good in Bo3
@@highgroundatz I do hope so i love seeing different teams taking events. Last year was a bit boring but this year already starting off different from what i expected
I hope your channel has potential for growth through the long offseason. It really sucks with the new format when we dont have high level siege for like 4 months, it feels like
Thanks again for the content, honestly not that it's ever perfect but I don't think I disagree at all. The overperformers both + and +++ you nailed spot on. Overall great video, fun to dissect the major afterwards a bit.
It was great to see Liquid do well, I really wanted DZ to beat BDS. I honestly think DZ could have beat BDS if they had a better map ban phase. I understand why they pick border, but when you think of DZ that map doesn't play to their strengths and then they left Oregon open which they basically perma-ban. So I think there is a world where DZ advances to the finals, especially if Panba doesn't start 0-8 on Border. Curious as to how others feel about this?
As usual love the content man. Still thankful to have a UA-cam channel out there that does r6 pro league content with such depth and knowledge. With that being said I thought I’d give some constructive criticism just to try and maybe help the videos out and maybe the channel grow. Personally although I have no problem watching a 20 min video I do feel like you could work on shortening your videos up a bit and that may lead to more clicks. It seems like a lot of the time you kinda get distracted a bit while you’re talking about a team and you start rambling a bit which I completely understand considering how passionate you obviously are about the subject but in my personal opinion I feel like if you could maybe form some sort of script and kinda stick on point more often, may lead to some higher quality videos. No hate though at all wanna make that clear, love the channel and especially the intro but thought I’d give my thoughts. Thanks for some more great content my friend and here’s to more. Also if anyone happens to read this far into the comment, does anyone know when r6 pro league restarts?
Now that I’m about 5 min into the video I wanna note that to be fair, a lot of your extra “rambling” as I called it in my comment is actually really useful information but there is also times, for example when you were talking about people’s expectations of BDS or when you are talking about M80s roster changes and how they changes there ranking. Stuff like that probably doesn’t really need to be there you know. I could very well just be nitpicking here and be wrong but still just something I noticed and wanted to share since I would love to see this channel grow
@@AlwaysEdging Like you say, I do think a lot of the rambling I do is providing extra info/context which a lot of my viewers enjoy (though sometimes I do go overboard). But yes it probably doesn't help the general appeal of my videos when they run much more than 10 minutes. I maybe should do more editing and scripting, but the reality of it is I only have so much free time to dedicate to working on videos so spending time on editing and scripting would ultimately mean fewer videos. And honestly when I have put in time to do those things in the past, the videos didn't really do well. I do really appreciate the feedback and it is something I think about often when making videos.
@@highgroundatz hey man fair enough, all of those are pretty good reasons and quite frankly you could keep your videos the same Ill personally still continue to watch them so regardless of what you do, great content man
Its mad how hard GeeKay have fallen off after losing the Leadr, Hashom and Nudl core. They were really onto something and from what I know they kinda threw it all away.
@@highgroundatz I remember hearing the pre-S.I. changes were a result of internal conflict. Hashom and Nudl wanted to keep Leadr and move toward being a team that could build upon what they'd established but the others wanted to be more of a friendship team. Which lead to Nudl having to IGL at S.I. and probably what caused that clip of him being toxic
Interesting thing about BDS, I talked to them just after losing the grand final and they had the common sentiment that they were still the best team in the world, they lost cuz BC had an absolute life game so they're confident a BDS dominated era is coming
Thanks for that info, that's cool to hear. I guess the first step for BDS will be continuing their dominance in Saudi Arabia. And yeah I do think BDS could have won that series on a different day, beastcoast just showed up big on that one.
During the major people were saying NA is behind BR, and EU. I disagree. I think NA=BR as the best region. Just like BR always have teams at the top that is good competition that everyone has to step up to face (Faze, Furia/W7M, Liquid), I feel NA has become the same way. We have constantly good Orgs in SSG, DZ, M80, and usually Soniqs except this past stage. Those teams are always good and only getting better. Especially when you have teams like DZ and M80 that have shown that they are literally willing to pay to poach the best from other regions. People were sleeping on BC taking #1 in NA as if it was relatively easy, and idk where that mindset is coming from. EU has BDS as high level competition sure, but that’s it currently. Maybe you can put Secret in there moving forward if they keep up their performance. But G2 purposely mails in their stages and does just enough to squeak by. EU is not more competitive than NA imo.
I think I estimated them about right. I predicted they would make the major, then I predicted they would make phase 2, then I predicted they would make top 8
Honestly I would put BDS as underperformed cause it was a Yuzu and Lifelike show. Then only getting two maps against BC cause of one player going +26 and the next guy having a -1, I expected a better team performance from them. Standing wise it makes seance but teamplay wise they could have been way better in the whole tournament
For BDS in the finals I think it was mostly Shaiiko underperforming. Likefac was pretty consistent and carried them multiple rounds and the other members were pretty good most rounds and had their moments but I just think Shaiiko should have stepped up his game in order for them to win.
Fair enough, I was mostly focused on the results which I think for BDS lined up with the expectations for them. But yes they certainly could have looked better as a team rather than some players.
Nothing confirmed but G2 players are dropping hints on twitter about leaving g2 and from it benja, virtue and titan are leaving and getting replaced by blaz and loira.
@@highgroundatz interesting, not the pickups I would’ve expected, my thought process was that the best possible replacement for a man like virtue would be deapeck

Misa 4k on clash goes crazy
Yeah even if they crumbled at the finish line (top 8 quals), APAC did have some good looks

Luckily the game isn't played on paper. Maybe we're entering a new era of pro siege and the previous titans won't be on top anymore.

I think last year was exciting in its own way, but all Brazilian finals got pretty stale.

Watching DZ vs BDS, DZ just looked outclassed but you could be right about it being a result of the maps.
As a Liquid fan I am quite happy with their performance this tournament. I have a feeling they’ll be in the next one and without LCQ needed
I do hope Maia brings consistency to this squad, they clearly showed they can make it work in Manchester.

Personally:
Overperformed: Liquid, Beastcoast
Performed slightly better than expected: M80, CAG, DZ, FearX, PSG Talon, Secret
Performed as expected: BDS, E1, Geekay, Scarz, Bliss, Cruelty
Performed slightly worse than expected: Bleed, Furia, ITB
Underperformed: SSG, G2, Faze
Solid list
i just needed one more point for the battlepass so i voted for Furia and Faze both to get into the finaly ;(
A cruel twist of fate

E1 did as I predicted, 0-3 cause I did not think they were a strong team and kinda got in on a fluke, which turned out to be right
