Update on Novavax approval: Novavax has applied for approval in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Reuters says that Novavax will apply for approval in the UK, Canada, and Australia this month. Novavax has hit a manufacturing issue in the US. This is a quote from Science Magazine: “The U.S. government has recently instructed [us] to prioritize alignment” with FDA’s methods for ensuring consistency in manufacturing, the company wrote in a quarterly report filed yesterday. The government “further indicated that [it] will not fund additional US manufacturing” until the firm has done so.
Hi, if Novavax is not as effective on variants of Covid, does that mean that it will be completely ineffective against the varient or does it just mean that you may still catch the variant, but due to the novavax vaccine, may not develop the very severe symptoms?
Motivations can come from many reasons. Profit of course, but don't underestimate the resistance of bureaucracies who've become establishments; their resistance to change. Finally, there are the range of dastardly conspiracy theory reasons as well, if one was actually in play.
It’s because Moderna and BioNTech have been working on customizes cancer vaccines for many years, and by 2019 Moderna had the ability to manufacture 2,000 different custom vaccines per month. Because they spent years developing this technology before the pandemic even started they were able to make their vaccines within a week of receiving the RNA sequence for the spike proteins and begin testing it in animals immediately. They were then able to get permission from the FDA to conduct and complete human safety trials before July 2020 so they could start the phase 3 efficacy trials. After that they had to wait for about 100 of their study participants to get sick with Covid so they could submit the preliminary trial data to the FDA for approval for emergency use. All these steps have taken longer for Novavax because what they are doing takes longer right now. They don’t have the ability to manufacture 2,000 custom vaccines per month. They have never even tried to do that.
The FDA has stated it will send NOVAVAX overseas, because we have plenty of Pfizer, Moderna and J&J. If you want NOVAVAX cobtact your congressional representatives and the FDA, tell them keep NOVAVAX here, and send the others vaccines overseas.
Such garbage. Why is our country pushing Pfizer and Moderna? Anyone seen where Fauci’s hands are lately? Bet he owns stocks with Gates in one of the two. Sick of the constant ditching of the J&J and meanwhile the MRNA v are killing children
I would rather lose my job than take an mRNA vaccine. However, at first glance, I would be HIGHLY likely to take Novavax. I hope it makes it to Canada in time.
Thousands of frontline workers in Canada are also willing to loose their jobs rather than take the forced experimental poison... sounds like they know something we don't know (but deep inside we know it's not right). Trust your instinct and follow the $$$.... Government and Big Pharma making billions with our taxpayer dollars... they don't want this to ever end... to much money to be made.
This one is still a NO. The same thing with other covid vaccines, futile. Covid is non-immunable disease. Vaccines mimic the effects of real virus to our immune system. If the real virus can't give immunity to people, neither will the vaccine. 2 reasons showing it's non-immunable 1. people get re-infected, and as early as 1.5 to 2 months 2. Some hospitalized in their first infection, again hospitalized on their next. A Las Vegas man was hospitalized on his 2nd infection. A repeat of symptoms during next infection. No natural immunity equals no artificial immunity.
@@rosea1021 Well it’s good to know. Novavax is still not around and it stock fall off the table. So maybe I will just have to trust God and use the immune system he gave me.
@@robtheaveragewhiteamerican4403 Yup, & 1. avoid secondary infection if you are sick with one, not only with covid, multiple infections of other kinds are also bad & can overwhelm our immune system. 2. If you have no underlying conditions, maintain a healthy lifestyle, or if you have one already, manage it well with lifestyle changes or meds.
@@robtheaveragewhiteamerican4403 Hey! This came out in the last couple of days: www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/s0806-vaccination-protection.html It basically says that unvaccinated people who have previously recovered from covid are more likely to be reinfected than people who have recovered and are vaccinated. It has also been shown in multiple studies that people who are vaccinated are much less likely to get severely sick and die. 98% of deaths in the US in the past month have been unvaccinated people. If you believe immune system was given to you by God, why wouldn't he want you to take something that allows your immune system to be primed for something that could kill you? Hope this science helps!

It's not old fashioned it's still using spike proteins. That bind to receptor cells and produce immune response to invader. Don't be fooled thinking this is an od school type virus so therfor safer and people won't have any side effects.
@@roddymac998, There’s no mRNA or viral vectors entering our cells though. Our immune system destroys those cells that are infected by the lipid nano particles or viral vectors in the other vaccines. I don’t want my immune system to destroy my cells. I like to keep my cells. But what concerns me is where these Novavax spike proteins go. They’re sticking a needle in your arm and injecting that stuff. That means they’re poking needles through cells and who knows where they’re injected the stuff. Does it go into a muscle cell and explode it? Is the needle as thick as 10 or 100 muscle cells? Is it cutting right through them? Does the stuff migrate between epithelial cells in our capillaries and travel to other places in our body? The lipo particles and viral vectors are likely absorbed immediately by cells adjacent to the injection site because that’s what they want to do. Do these spike proteins attach to the ACE2 receptors of local cells so they are unable to migrate elsewhere?
@@terjeoseberg990 well no not according to Dr Malone they do not stay in injection site and that is the problem. all the swelling and clots will be caused by the migrating from the injection site. MARK E they can just stuff it then. If the tyrants want me shot up-they better get me this one. Then I will spit in their face. Tyranny. This is what we have now. Stand up-resist.
I would rather take a traditional vaccine too. I read the market and it’s all about investors. Novavax does not seem to get the spot light because it does not fit in with the MRNA narrative. MRNA started in early 90’s. Several major pharmaceutical companies have tried this technology and abandoned the idea because they struggled to get MRNA into cells without triggering nasty side effects. So for MRNA companies, no better time to test it with use of government funds!!

Having had Covid I would still want to know the effectiveness of this vs my current natural immunity level. I still think natural immunity last longer. I don't know though because no one is focusing on that.
I’m on my cell phone, but there’s a few published research papers on this subject. I also wish there was more data here. It seems like two vaccines makes more antibodies and memory B cells than getting COVID once, but a year out some people who have had COVID or vaccines have similar levels of protection. As far as I am concerned this is very different from patient to patient. It seems to depend on how heavy your symptoms were, your age, weight and overall health. Young healthy adults usually have high immunity even months after an infection or vaccine. Older less healthy people usually tend to less immunity the more time goes by. However you cant determain the immunity only by an anti body test because the infection also triggers your so called T-cells really heavily. So even without any anti bodies or very few anti bodies in your blood you still could have high immunity. So how immune someone is not only depends on ones vaccine and/or severeness of infection but also on ones overall health/age. So the very clear answer to your question is (based on my research): It depends... A lot...
@@michaelflamingsword3131 Yeah, I have been traveling too recently and to my surprise didnt get infected. Not an expert... 11:11 = the key to the problem and why current Cov19 "vaccines" don't work the way we expect. mRNA-based vaccines and Novavax are only presenting one component of the Cov19 virus to the immune system. So without knowledge of the remainder of the virus, the immune system can't fight Cov19, it can only fight the spike protein. So the hope is that one's immune system will sufficiently destroy all spikes of the invading virus and the remainder won't be able to make it into the cells to replicate. It isn't surprising that vaccinated people still get Cov19. I maintain that only a "traditional" (live-attenuated or inactivated) vaccine will do the best job at combating Cov19. For some reason, we don't hear much about any being developed. Valneva is the only one I know of.

@@friendlyneighborhoodimmuno7192 That is a worry. If US getting it in Sept/Nov. The rest of the world will be next year. Another variant will be out by that time and Novavax will be out of date.
It’s possible that Novavax efficacy might diminish over time faster than the mRNA vaccines, but the way efficacy was reported usually means people had zero symptoms to mild symptoms of COVID. So the alpha variant Novavax prevented 93% of people from having even mild symptoms and prevented 55% of people with beta variant from mild symptoms. As far as I know though, it kept 100% of people out of the hospital. If COVID keeps mutating then Novavax could still help keep people out of the hospital and keep our doctors and nurses from being overwhelmed.
It depends on when the FDA approves it. It seems like places like Canada and Japan are taking steps to get Novavax in a few months, but it’s unclear when we will get it in the States. It might be worth contacting your congressperson and showing your support.
I don’t think so. Most people who have mRNA vaccines make spike proteins for 5-19 days then taper off. While the spike proteins are being made they are in tissue and blood stream, so unless you had an accidentally blood transfusion from an mRNA vaccine person in the 20 days following vaccination then no.
So, it sounds great, except when the very end of the video threw in the part about dropping in efficacy against new variants. That doesn't sound ideal against Delta and whatever else is to come. What's the deal there?
Good question. Delta was not the prevalent variant when the trial ended, so there's no delta cases reported. I do want to mention that vaccination is keeping the majority of people out of the hospital. Efficacy means the vaccine prevented even mild symptoms, so if you look up how many people who are vaccinated stay out the hospital the numbers are higher all around.

What is the likely possibly of the covid spike protines sheering off of the artificial structure they are attached to in the novavax? I have seen in other videos that the spike protines themselves are cytotoxic and could be causing the server side effects associated with the mRNA vaccines. It's been postulated that the spike protines aren't anchoring to the cells that are producing the spike protines in mRNA vaccines.

I am not a doctor though, and suggest you speak to your trusted medical professional about your personal situation to see if this is right for you. While I won't rush to get Novavax because I have just recovered from COVID, this one, for me, is a viable option if I need to.

So, instead of manufacturing mRNA spike protein wrapped in tryglycerides in a lab, they grow novavax protein in moths? It seems that mRNA vaccines cut out the middleman (moths) to get the same outcome?
Thank you for taking the time to make an informative video about how the novavax technology works. My question for anyone that might know, is that with the mRNA vaccines available, one particular concern is that our RNA is programmed for coding a spike protein that has potentially cytotoxic effects to various tissues within our bodies. This can lead to nerve damage, myocarditis and other potentially dangerous issues. Does the same risk for the protein based novavax still exist? Is there more potential for an mRNA vaccine to cause production of a spike protein in an area of our bodies where eliciting a cytotoxic effect is more dangerous?
My understanding is that the Saponin adjuvant acts to draw Antigen Presenting Cells (APCs) to the injection site so that they then gobble up the antigen (spike protein) so I'm thinking that maybe it won't be as far reaching in the body....however, I have the same concerns that you have about spike protein eliciting cell growth signalling in pulmonary vascular endothelium. However, overall I might be happy taking the Novavax as the amount of antigen overall is less anyway. Please don't just believe me..this is only my current understanding. I might be wrong!?

I assume like the other Cov vaccines, it's based on Alpha strain protein, so (relative) efficacy figure is based on that strain only and it will have poor efficacy against other variants where the protein has changed. Given that the spike protein itself is a pathogen, it would be interesting to know how much of those are in a dose and what the risks are for the proteins leaving the deltoid muscle. As you know there were claims with the mRNA/Vector vaccines they would limit the spike protein creation mainly to the deltoid and then it turned out to be wrong.

Yes, a con to any of the vaccines right now is lack of long-term data because they are all new. However, Novavax isn't mRNA. It is protein and there's more long-term data on protein based vaccines.
@@friendlyneighborhoodimmuno7192 Thank you so much for replying. I am in Australia and we only have Pfizer or astraZeneca. My doctor said that we wont get Novavax till end of the year. My doctor has recommended Pfizer for my age group. ( I am 51). I have read in one of your comments you had one of the Mrna vaccine so that gives me much needed reassurance . Can not thank you enough.
Yes hemolytic means destruction of red blood cells. The detergent Saponin will burst open some red blood cells which released a "danger signal" to the immune cells. Then the immune cells will be able to identify the spike protein as a danger and create a long-term immune response with antibodies. If there was no Saponin, there would not be a strong immune response to the spike protein.

Thanks for the video. However, no one seems to explain, how do they collect spike proteins? How do they assemble spike proteins onto nano particles? How do they know there are not free floating spike proteins left in the mix?
I don’t know how they assemble the complexes, but I do know from experience that there are lots of possible methods for separating large complexes away from single proteins.
Update on Novavax approval: Novavax has applied for approval in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Reuters says that Novavax will apply for approval in the UK, Canada, and Australia this month. Novavax has hit a manufacturing issue in the US. This is a quote from Science Magazine:
“The U.S. government has recently instructed [us] to prioritize alignment” with FDA’s methods for ensuring consistency in manufacturing, the company wrote in a quarterly report filed yesterday. The government “further indicated that [it] will not fund additional US manufacturing” until the firm has done so.
Im from the US. How can I get this vaccine???
Hi, if Novavax is not as effective on variants of Covid, does that mean that it will be completely ineffective against the varient or does it just mean that you may still catch the variant, but due to the novavax vaccine, may not develop the very severe symptoms?
Maybe you can change the name to Ppfizer II...wink wink.
Thank you for this information.
@@realtuffdude no you can’t because it’s not mRNA
So the approval of "more traditional" is delayed forever (at least in the UK and Europe) but mRNA gets emergency approval. Says it all...
Maximum destruction
@Not Applicable, Wrong. Novavax is part of Operation Warp Speed too. They’re just slower.

The FDA has stated it will send NOVAVAX overseas, because we have plenty of Pfizer, Moderna and J&J. If you want NOVAVAX cobtact your congressional representatives and the FDA, tell them keep NOVAVAX here, and send the others vaccines overseas.

This one is still a NO. The same thing with other covid vaccines, futile.
Covid is non-immunable disease. Vaccines mimic the effects of real virus to our immune system. If the real virus can't give immunity to people, neither will the vaccine.
2 reasons showing it's non-immunable
1. people get re-infected, and as early as 1.5 to 2 months
2. Some hospitalized in their first infection, again hospitalized on their next.
A Las Vegas man was hospitalized on his 2nd infection.

So the very clear answer to your question is (based on my research):
It depends... A lot...

The problem with Pfizer and Astrazeneca jab is that one of the side effects of the jab is death.
It’s rare, but I understand that people should get to choose what works for them.

Thanks for the explanation. There is so much complexity/coordination in the immune system. Amazing.
Waiting for this vaccine as recommended by my doctor from singapore as I have allergic reactions to medications
Very best of luck! I hope you do not have an allergic reaction.

what is the composition of the nanoparticle?
Nebraska Medical Centers says that the nano is mostly fats called lipids. Primarily, cholesterol and phospholipids which are similar to the outside of our cells.

I meant to comment you have a talent for simplifying complicated subject matter.
Einstein once said, 'if you can't explain something simply you don't completely understand it'
Oh that's one of my absolute favorite quotes!
Yes, I am waiting for this Novavax being approved in Australia.
Do we know if the spike protein with this vaccine is staying in the muscle at the injection site or is it traveling throughout the body as the MRNA ones?
Yes, that's just what I was wondering too, and that is very important.
Though not mentioned the Novavax is the only one that has no complicity with fetal cell lines. Not saying that I would get the jab but Novavax seems to be morally and religiously ethical whereas the others are tainted.
With more and more pressure to get vaccinated, this is the one vaccine I would take a risk with right now. Too bad it's not out yet.
I am waiting for this one. I hope it comes out in US soon.
I couldn’t find a firm date online. Some websites said September and others more like November.
@@friendlyneighborhoodimmuno7192 Thank you for the information. Do you know if this one is less likely to raise blood pressure? I have heard the other ones can drastically raise blood pressure.
@@beatlesrutles I looked into the clinical trial data for Novavax, and they excluded people with high blood pressure (hypertension). So I did not find any data of increased blood pressure. The other vaccines like Pfizer's mRNA vaccine only raised blood pressure in 5% of the people receiving it for approximately 5 days. www.ejinme.com/article/S0953-6205(21)00212-0/fulltext#:~:text=Overall%2C%206%20subjects%20(5.3%25),five%20days%20before%20the%20vaccine.
The increase in blood pressure should be monitored carefully. However, I want to mention that it is most likely due to the immune activation. Taking any vaccine twice within a month will cause side effects. I have a video explaining why those side effects happen. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Okay this description is FAR better than the one by Novavax themselves. It's a much better description for the lay person.
When will we get in States ? Will Novavax be available as easy as pfiz and Moderna ?
FL, USA
It depends on when the FDA approves it. It seems like places like Canada and Japan are taking steps to get Novavax in a few months, but it’s unclear when we will get it in the States. It might be worth contacting your congressperson and showing your support.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Canada receives Novavax this year
🙏🙏🙏
The facility should be complete now. Fingers crossed .

I am waiting for this vaccine in Australia - as our government ordered this last year. Hurry up, please Novavax. Thank you for the great explanation
Same here - never hear much about it here in Oz
Thank you kindly!
I also want this vaccine. I’m in Australia too. I did not realize that we have ordered it

Thank you for your kind words. I hope you get it. Things work out best when people have a choice.
This is the vaccine I’m waiting for, thanks so much for your clarification and details.
Glad it was helpful!
@@friendlyneighborhoodimmuno7192 do you recomment taking novavax for a person who has alpha thalaseemia with very low hemoglobin count as low as 7 counts? I just had my iron infusion and will be having another blood test when the iron settles down.
If not, will pfizer safe for anemic or with an alpha thalaseemia ? Thank you very much!
This was so cool. Thank you. I have a question about what you mentioned in your video's end. Courtesy the ever evolving variants, the protein structure of the virus has changed massively. Since the everything that vaccines produce (antibodies, b cells, t cells) are courtesy the spike protein and since that spike protein itself has changed, how do these vaccines are being said to be effective in still protecting against severe disease & hospitalizations?
It’s approved in Australia and I will use this video to explain to my patients, 🙏
EXCELLENT EXPLANATION 👍
BRILLIANT INFORMATION 👍
WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL TO RECEIVE WITHIN YOUR WONDERFUL HANDRITING TEACHING ON THIS NOVAVAX VACCINATION 🙏

Cool video, you have good drawing skills. 😊
But I have some additional questions:
1. Can the nanoparticles enter the nucleus of my cells, where my dna is? Why or why not?
2. Can the vaccine get inside my (other) body cells? (Not the macrophages.) Why or why not?
3. How big are the nanoparticles and why?
4. Is this vaccine effective against the omicron variant?
5. Can my macrophages digest these synthetic particles? Do my macrophages already digest other synthetic particels without me knowing?
6. Can the nanoparticles cross the "blood-brain-border"?
Sorry for my English sometimes. I am german. 😅
Could you please answer these questions? It seems to me like the most promising vaccine til now.
Would also greatly appreciate answers to these questions!
Great questions on Nanoparticles am wondering myself
Can you answer these questions pls?
Am very interested too.
would like to know about side effects. thank you for the clear explanation
It's widely accepted that vaccines are the safest and most efficient way to stop viruses
Singapore is waiting for this Novavac. By December I think. Hope it can be sooner 🙏
most likely will be a bit earlier but this is the one ill be looking forward to
dont wait bro. its the same mrna shit. but packaged differently. a hybrid. dont be fooled.
What is the nanoparticle? Whats it made of?
Nebraska Medical center says that the nanoparticle is mostly fats called cholesterol and phospholipids.
Side effects of Novavax include gravitating to lightbulbs and screen doors especially in the summer and at night. One may or may not have a need to pollinate a plant or two. lol
Thank you so much for explaining Novavax. I have been anti vac. So scared of it. But.....if I'm forced to get one (at work).....MAYBE I might consider this one. Also my college age son might have to get it to continue to go to college, which makes me insanely mad. So...maybe this would be an option.
Hey @Traci, I'll share my thinking - see if this makes sense for you.. For me, I have never before hesitated to get a tried and tested vaccine. This is the same format of those that I have always gotten. I have never had a bad reaction to one of those vaccines, and it is not (as mRNA does) teaching my body to make something bad without an off switch. Novavax's format leaves me with none of the objections I have with mRNA's newness, rushed development, and unknown long term effects. I am not a doctor though, and suggest you speak to your trusted medical professional about your personal situation to see if this is right for you. While I won't rush to get Novavax because I have just recovered from COVID, this one, for me, is a viable option if I need to.
@@FactsMatter thanks for the info! Still not vaxxed. Doctor recommends it but still unsure. And I just got over covid too. Doing fine. Hope you are as well! Blessings!!😀

Waiting this kind of vaccine who else is waiting thumbs up.
yes, thank you for explaining so clearly. My one question though...when I look up ingredients in the Novavax vaccine, it's a list of chemicals, like the rest of them. Why do all the chemical toxins always go into vaccines? Why can't they be made from more natural, healthy sources?
Could you send me a link to the list of chemicals? I cannot find one. There's almost always a reason for the chemicals. Sometimes they are preservatives, sometimes they are their to boost the immune system. For example, sometimes there are small amounts of antibiotics to prevent spoiling the vaccine by bacteria.

@@Secret-sw8ih Thanks so much for the reply. Do you know where more reliable information about this topic is available? Im very curious about NovaVax and would love to learn more about it. Specifically topics that cover concerns like this one versus the mRNA version.

If all the vaccines were equally available to you, which would you choose? Thank you!
Yes I would like to know which vaccine you would choose too
hi......what is the 'nano particle' that holds the spike protein, made off?
I asked the same question i got no answer.. i hope it's not graphene oxide ......
Thanks so much for your youTube - very helpful. I have a question - You said that the a con of Mrna is that we dont know the long term affects. Is that the same for the Novavac????? Many thanks Karen
I just looked up hemolytic and it says pertaining to the destruction of blood cells. That wasn't mentioned. Where does it come in.
Thank you so much for your excellent explanation with your artistic drawing 👍🙏 I am still waiting for Novavax in here Australia. It supposed to arrive soon but no news yet. I am very disappointed. I don’t know how they assemble the complexes, but I do know from experience that there are lots of possible methods for separating large complexes away from single proteins.
