Although it's very briefly mentioned in the inner planes, there is an Illithid city of the Paraelemntal plane of Ooze called Yuhnmoag. Also in their planescape monster manual entry it's mentioned that Ooze mephits hate their existence and desperately want to be polymorphed into something else, and they are also used to clean and maintain sewer systems in cities. So one character idea I had was a Ooze Mephit who got his wish, got turned into a human and is now living in Sigil but he used to be a sewer cleaning Mephit in Yuhnmoag and is now putting a crew together to break back into the city, using his insider knowledge of the sewers, in order to rob the place of valuable magical artefacts.
I’ll give you all a bit of practical advice that is born from interactions I’ve had with my wife and kids prior. If you rinse out things like ketchup bottles, tin cans, bags that food comes in, etc, then when you remove your trash bag it has no “juice” in the bottom. Furthermore, if something with a sharp edge cuts the bag, you are not left cleaning up some nasty mix of rotting stuff off your floor. It takes a couple seconds under the faucet to remove it and won’t make your trash stink.
That horrible liquid you get at the bottom corner of the trash bag - in Scotland we call it "bin-juice", so this is essentially the plane of bin-juice! Great episode, nauseating 🙂
I thought there might be more lore about hidden treasures. It sounds perfect, if unpleasant, for artifacts that someone doesn't want found, but also doesn't want to guard. The first time I heard of the Ooze plane, I immediately thought of a buried giant library/ Swamp Castle scenario.
I just finished your most recent episode on Spotify. I am now completely caught up and I must say thank you to both of you for the literal DAYS of content available via your podcast. Incredible job guys and keep up the fantastic work. Shout out to Demogorgon!
I forsee a future campaign where some "hillbilly" teifling community accidentally creates a portal in the outhouse, thus hiring a group of adventures to stop the advance of the bhaal movement.... pun intended. Love you guys, glad will is no longer leaking from the elemental portals on his face.
Two things! 1. ITS THE HECKIN YEAR OF THE ELEMENTALLLLLLLL. 2. Animentals seem awesome! Sounds like the embermanes (fire lions) and marshweavers (ooze spiders) the party recently came across in our world!
I made a home brew plane that turns my world's atmosphere into a pink hue. The plane of Cobalt Chloride also known as the plane of "Vertigo" which is where my Goddess of Madness dwells. :D
"Those poor folks are banished criminals. Most of them end up dead by drowning in the ooze. Some don't have to breathe, though, [...]" Did I hear that right? WE CAN HAVE SLIME VAMPIRES?!?!?!
We must have a portal to the plan of ooze in the work refrigerator. Also there must have been a shift in the plan of oozes make up as before it was orange today it's purple, I know because I get to clean it off my lunch box in a bit.
Oh wow, this came out just in time, I almost forgot to pre-order the book. Today's the last day everybody, if you want it and you haven't yet, go get it.
"Immunities are absolute, it doesn't matter if you throw a tarrasque into the sun, its immune to fire damage" Elemental Cores & Para-Elemental Planes: You sure about that, buddy?
Question regarding the backer-kit. I’ve never really been very interested in a sci-fi fantasy setting for my role playing games. I was just wondering how much use do you think I could get out of the book? The spices and item creation systems sound interesting. I just wonder how hard that would be to translate to a more traditional fantasy setting? Love all the content, appreciate all the hard work.
The species creator is completely compatible with any and all genres/settings. So is the Glyph System/Item Creation but it will require some currency conversion from Credits to Gold.
Great Vid! I was wondering if you're ever going to to do more Pathfinder videos? And if you've been keeping up with the death of one of the Core 20 gods of pathfinder? Who do you think will die?
I don't know if you'll read my comment, but if you do, I was listening to other people requesting you cover monsters from that, I would like to petition you to reconsider. You have both voiced your very strong feelings for Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro. Referencing non WotC material, what help promote companies like kobold press, Ghost Fire Games, and many other non Wizards of the Coast companies. Just saying
The four elements of fire, ice, candy, and slime!

Juiblex's front porch, let's go! 🤟

Delicious rot juice!
There's also a secret illithid base hidden here called Yuhnmoag, but it's in a pocket that keeps out the plane's Ooze.

Purulent might be a better word to describe the plants of the plane unless, of course, those weeds do have a vulgar vulvar appearance
Glad I wasn't the first to say something about that, lol
Wouldn't an Ooze Sherpa be called a Slurpa?
🤣

I love ani-mentals. One of my DND characters has a fire elemental gecko as his elemental spirit guide. (An odd spell I stumbled across in DND wiki.)
Im gonna add this to my campaign

16:53 we must've had a portal to the plane of Ooze in the dumpster room at my pre-Covid job
"Those poor folks are banished criminals. Most of them end up dead by drowning in the ooze. Some don't have to breathe, though, [...]"
Did I hear that right? WE CAN HAVE SLIME VAMPIRES?!?!?!
Let’s go some Louisiana representation in DnD

Check out an old artifact-Earth and Sea ship, aka Mudships. They'd be great for this plane.
I wonder if Plasmoid can live here okay ish? Also have you covered Plasmoid yet? Also shot out to Bwimb II and her Ooze para-elemental homies!😉❤
Oh wow, this came out just in time, I almost forgot to pre-order the book. Today's the last day everybody, if you want it and you haven't yet, go get it.
One of my players is an ooze wizard. Theyre going to love this video lol
So the plane of ooze & border of the fey is the bog of eternal stench?
"Immunities are absolute, it doesn't matter if you throw a tarrasque into the sun, its immune to fire damage"
Elemental Cores & Para-Elemental Planes: You sure about that, buddy?
Not to be confused with the Plane of Booze.
Crap you beat me to it
"...slowly sinks--" Here's an idea: boat.
While it will find a way to sink that, it should take longer

Im just gonna say i think they got way too many elemental things with salt and mineral, but this one is fun
I like the ooze. THE OOZE!
Thanks for doing an episode about the state of my bedroom as a teenage boy.
Imagine a party coming across a bunch of frat dudes trapped in the plane because they thought it was the plane of booze.
If you like deathcore and powermetal check out dragoncorpse. I love this band
Ivan Ooze from the first power rangers movie be like
Great Vid! I was wondering if you're ever going to to do more Pathfinder videos? And if you've been keeping up with the death of one of the Core 20 gods of pathfinder? Who do you think will die?
Makes me think of the Matmos from Barbarella.
I see notification. I click, I like, I watch later for drive home 🤘🏼
Would a spellcaster who summons slimes, jellies, and puddings be The Wizard of Ooze?
will that elemental planes campaign be available for people to watch, like Superquest Saga? :)
Not my current one but we will see about the future!
@@Thedungeoncast cool! thanks again for the great content you guys provide us! Shoutout to Demogorgon!
6 minutes in and idk if I should watch this on my lunch rn lmao
My slippies go brrr brrr brrrrrr.
44:10 ? Ivan Ooze? From the mmpr movie?!?
We are all defined by what we consume
