Early Bird | Erkenci Kus
Erkenci Kus (English title: Early Bird) is a Turkish-made romantic comedy series by Gold Film.
Sanem (Demet Özdemir) is a girl who works in her father's grocery store and is loved by everyone. But her family tells her that she will marry if she can't find a job. Sanem starts working in an advertising agency to avoid getting married. But she doesn't know what awaits her in her new job. The manager of his company is the handsome, intelligent and cultured Can (Can Yaman). Since Sanem always manages to get into trouble, this situation attracts Can's attention and a great love story begins.

For me, when I found out that he lost his memory, it killed the whole movie for me. They had millions of cute moments and they story was extraordinary and for all this to just be forgotten at the end seemed like such a waste. All that time dedicated to this series and chemistry became completely useless at the end. I dont know about others but for me the producer really failed this part.
He did eventually remember at the end, but I agree it would have been better if his memory recovered before the last episode, because it did feel like something was lost when he forgot her.
However, as they started to get closer again, it was a nice touch to see how he fell for her again. He was different to the old Can, but he still loved her. So in a way, it was sweet that he was prepared to give up everything for her even though he didn’t remember her and wasn’t sure if he would.
Have you ever heard of the movie/book called ‘the vow’? It’s based on a true story about a wife who lost her memory and fell in love with her husband again, her memory actually never came back. I was beginning to wonder if this would end the same way, but happy to see that it didn’t.
He remembered the small moments like her making him meatballs, so that shows that he got his memories of her back.
They should have made that happen way before the end though, so that we could see the old Can and his memories as well as the new memories they made after the amnesia (which also should have been explored more rather than her chasing him a lot)
Yes I hated those eposides where he lost memory spoilt it for me.😢
@@missNCW I read online that there was originally supposed to be 52 episodes, not 51 as what we got...the last episode got canceled due to a national holiday, so they just condensed everything into this episode. And as much as the "amnesia" trope drove me crazy, it was good to see that even though he had lost his memories of Sanem, Can still felt that connection, and was attracted to their innate "rightness" with each other. I fully believe that if they had opted to film and air episode 52 as originally planned, we would've seen more of their interactions after he regained his memories, instead of the rushed finale we were given.

Turkish people are more cultured that religious. If course you have religious Turks that oppose to such behaviours but then you have the modern less religious Turks. The throwing of the water is to do with saying May your journey be a smooth as water flowing and this is cultural.
