So the notes with x's are palm mutes? I play the "game" constantly but never really understood what you are meant to do when you see those any help would be greatly appreciated!
+anthony DiPietro just play the note displayed accordingly like you would but gently place your palm over the strings not too hard otherwise you will just end up muting the strings. If you're not sure how to do it there are plenty of tutorials on the internet.
+anthony DiPietro Pretty much what he said, except you're more using the padded side of your hand so you can still move your fingers. The amount of pressure you need to apply varies, but as long as your hand's softening the sound of the notes without completely muting/not muting at all you're set. The notes with a glowing edges need to be hit a bit harder to add emphasis.
