Zirkzee won't bring United to a higher level. United should be scouting at the South American Cup, to find the pearls that Porto and Benfica always seem to get from Brasil, Argentina. These players have grinta. Maybe there's a great central defender from Paraguay or so who wo'nt be very expensive. Looking over there is smarter than recruiting in Europe or UK, which costs you so much
True, they were linked with enzo Fernandez, Julian Alvarez and Moises caicedo all when they were in South America but never paid the tiny amounts for them. Instead decided to splash on over priced Antony etc transfers.

Scott seems more reasonable, as he is on 60k, and Alvarez 100k, but Sancho is almost on 300k you imagine him playing in Bologna while earning same as the whole rest of the squad? Both sides of the deal need to have something from it, apart from McT what you propose is impossible.

Ndidi is available on a free, quality option as an experienced squad player for midfield, also Hermoso a centreback from atletico madrid is also free. Two solid options and would beef up the squad, maybe not as starters every week, but good solid professionals to help out and fill in when needed, also they're cheap as chippy chip chips.
