This gasket insertion is the most ridiculous insert I've come across. I'm on my second set of purchased gaskets - and neither set fits. I just don't get it - how something purportedly so simple doesn't work. One feels like throwing the unit away.
My wife said she lost the gasket to the Nutribullet. Well everyone, after 2 days of friggin around trying to get the new gasket in, I discovered the old one was still in there. Buried deep and it looked like the bottom of the groove, but it had been pushed down so far in the groove that it looked like there wasn't one in there. Take something sharp and poke the bottom of the groove where the gasket sits and see if it is spongy. IF so, take it out with a knife tip and it will come out. The the new one fits and just drops in. OMG...
OMGOSH! My casket came out of my nutra bullet the second time I used it which was about 5mths ago, so I really haven’t been using it because it leaks. Today, I decided to start back on my protein shake regimen and I wanted to use my nutra bullet instead of my shaker cup. I made the decision to take 2 minutes of my life, during this “pandemic” as if I haven’t had it to spare since my job was affected by coved-19 on 3/20. 🤦♀️ So I looked up videos and found yours 😀 WOW! Problem solved in less than 2 minutes! Thanks for your help ✋ five finger fix 🤣
It won't go in .... Will have to use paper towel as a gasket. Just return it. We had 5 people trying to install it. Minimum 2 man job or 4 hands...and the gasket still slips out
After a lot a frustration, I discovered a way that works for me. After making the drink, unscrew the blade assembly very slowly, until you hear the hiss of pressure equalizing. Then gently finish unscrewing, and usually the gasket does not fall out. Also, don't overfill. The "max" marking is there for a reason.
I've been struggling with the gasket installation. This is not simple at all ... I've used all my fingers as suggested and its stubborn and still not in!!! ugh ... I dislike difficult products ... make it easier or eliminate the gasket!
I bought a Nutribullet online from Bed Bath Beyond. On the 3rd smoothie, the gasket started falling out -- into my drink. Wrote to Nutribullet, they said it's not supposed to happen, so I got a replacement from Bed Bath. This took 4 weeks. Set up the new Nutribullet, made two smoothies and on the second smoothie... the gasket fell out!!! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Would a spot of gorilla glue hold it on? This is a piece of junk and I think I'm just going to return it for my money back, if possible. Maybe the Ninja works better.
Not a good idea to glue the gasket into the ridge. The liquids you are blending seep around the sides of the gasket AND must be cleaned out. Germs, bacteria and spoiled food can’t be left on the gasket. Seriously. Clean after using before storing it again. 🙂🙂
Hii. How would you clean the gasket on a day to day basis? As you say, food residue will stick onto it. And even if there's just water left, if not properly dried, it cannot be hygienic
Its bad enough that the replacement blade from nutribullet comes with no gasket but when you buy the replacement gaskets they don't fit properly. Why should I have to scour the internet and youtube to find a fix for this issue? I found this video because my initial installation of this new gasket leaked. What a dumb design and the fact that nutribullet hasn't addressed this flaw after all this time tells me they just don't give a care. If I owned this thing for less than a month it would be going back, but what hurts is that it isn't usable. Do we have enough people here to file a class-action suit?
The damn thing is so frustrating. You think you have it down and bam it comes undone from the other side. Why don’t they come with the gasket installed?!
No way this gasket is the correct design, it doesn't even begin to seat correctly. Come on, I mean really? Just looking at the base that the gasket is "supposed" to seat into, one can plainly see that the plastic base has a wide groove then, it has a (slightly raised) plastic ring that is right next to the inner most "taller" plastic ring that correlates to the outer circumference fo the blades when looking down at the blade/base unit itself. I'm going to make my own video for youth on how poor this gasket is, and how ridiculous it is to try and make it fit- because no one should go through this aggravation :-(
It will fit as long as you put your figures where he said to put them, then it will work .but when I first tried, I did not work, putting my figures like he said in the right place it would work and fit

Buried deep and it looked like the bottom of the groove, but it had been pushed down so far in the groove that it looked like there wasn't one in there. Thank you so much!! Same thing. My teen told me the gasket broke and she fished it out of the dishwasher. So I ordered more and could NOT GET IT IN!!!! Even after the video demo. Saw your comment and checked. Voilà! Gasket still there. At least now I have extras in case the gasket is really lost - but what was in the dishwasher?!?!?!
What kills me as you guys keep saying you've got a blade from a NutriBullet and not whether it's a 600 or 900 or a pro or whatever it is because they're all just a little different. The 600 has a divot where you can go and put your fingernail underneath to pull up the old gasket. The 900 doesn't have the divot. Please clarify which extractor blade you're talking about in your video
We could only get it on after many tries by turning the gasket over with the rim edge to the outside (counter intuitive I know) but that seems to stretch and hold it in place - worked for us
If you are having problems, REMOVE THE OLD GASKET. I struggled fo 20 minutes trying to get the new one to fit in with no luck. Two nights later, I went back in and checked to see if the old one was still down in there... Sure enough. It is impossible to install two gaskets in the groove, but one fits quite nicely using the technique shown.
I've been trying to fix my Nutribullet for 2 yrs. The video doesn't tell you to remove the old one first. I installed it in 2 minutes after reading your comment. Thanks.
My recently purchased replacement nutribullet gasket simply does NOT fit in the groove, no way, no how! I'm not new to this! I've used them for years. But Bet Beth And Beyond wont take the unit back since it's older than 60 days. Believe me, this gasket does fit at all. Suggestions? 11/1/2021
My Nutribullet 900W is not even half year old and it's used once, maybe twice a day. The gasket/seal came out two days ago for the first time. Is this something covered by the warranty? I've been able to put it back in, but today it's come out again.
Ok, so my wife asked me to help her with this. After driving myself half way crazy, I said ‘I don’t see how this even ever came out of here’. She said - ‘it was in the cupboard’. As the penny dropped, I realised she hadn’t actually removed the original gasket, but had just got the shipped spare one out of the box.... So I can confirm that if you are trying to fit two gaskets, that’s *tricky*. Once the original is out, it goes in like the one on the video....
This was driving me and my fingers crazy til I saw your comment and double checked. Yes, there's already one in there and the replacement came with a spare! Thankyou
I found the gasket and assumed it had fallen out, since it looked a little "used"... same thing... the gasket was in there already... that was half an hour I won't get back! ;)
I could not make it fit no matter how much I tried., then I read someone saying to make sure there isnt any of the old gasket still in there..., I couldnt believe it when I used tweezers, to find that there indeed was most of the old gasket in there ! No way I could see it because all the parts are the same color ! Removed the old fasket piece and , voila ! , the new gasket popped right in.
I was in the middle of making a smoothie when my rubber gasket came out :( I’m so upset & after reading all the responses I realize I probably won’t be able to fix my blender. I’m so upset & frustrated ugh 😔
This gasket is too small!!! Impossible to fit. Two of us struggled mightily and ended up in frustration. Ordered some from another supplier. Seems seating design is too high.
I bought brand new Nutribullet Ultra at full price last week only to find that there is no gasket and there is no glow interface to start the machine. What a disappointment !
What a terrible joke. Woman have nails. It is impossible for me to put this gasket in place. Discussed and pissed off. Why doesn't it come installed if it's so easy. Seriously crappie!
Gasket keeps popping out - flawed seating design on the mount and gasket.
This gasket insertion is the most ridiculous insert I've come across. I'm on my second set of purchased gaskets - and neither set fits. I just don't get it - how something purportedly so simple doesn't work.
One feels like throwing the unit away.
The '600' is easy, the ''900' gaskets are not meant to be removed making them virtually impossibe to clean.

Man oh man you just saved my life here, there was a gasket on mine too, very low at the bottom

He forgot the last step: Get out the Band-Aids for your sliced up fingers! What a pain-in-the...

Roberto Flores, what about heating it in hot water first?
we actually tried that too! In fact, after that didn't work, we put a bic lighter to it.
Bruh

Thanks for showing this. It went in really easily after following the way you installed it 👍
It worked the first time after watching your video hopefully it will work again next time I have to put it back on.
Doesn't work - gasket keeps popping out around the blade & will not sit in the ridge.
OK it worked - guess I'm just cack handed. He is right this works
I cant get mine to go in
For the love of god man. Clip your finger nails!
I've been struggling with the gasket installation. This is not simple at all ... I've used all my fingers as suggested and its stubborn and still not in!!! ugh ... I dislike difficult products ... make it easier or eliminate the gasket!

Perfect - stretched it - used all fingers of my left hand to hold it used the right hand to put in the remainder done 😀
Deb Wooten yes! I followed his instructions and bam! 😃😃 👏👏
So helpful! And I suspect it may help me in the future with other gaskets In other things. Thank you!
The damn thing is so frustrating. You think you have it down and bam it comes undone from the other side. Why don’t they come with the gasket installed?!
Hmm...but is it normal that the gasket falls back out into my drink every single time I use it when I unscrew the blade base?
Same here. It's a design flaw. I've gone through two brand new Nutribullets, exact same problem.
@@ChickensAndGardening Mine finally seated itself and has stayed in place for a few weeks now. lol Kinda random.
You're super good 👌, I wish I can pay you to do it. Thanks for your advice.
Thanks for sharing. This is a frustrating part of an otherwise great product.

I would say the same. Except it looks exactly like the gasket that came with mine. And mine is impossible to put in. That's why I am here.
It will fit as long as you put your figures where he said to put them, then it will work .but when I first tried, I did not work, putting my figures like he said in the right place it would work and fit
Mine came off, so after you wash the blades, dry it and put the nutrabulet cup on it tonhold it in place I left it of and it unsealed itself
The replacement gaskets need to be stretched and its ridiculous the agrivation! Why can't they be made the CORRECT SIZE!!!!!
Thanks for uploading! Very helpful 😊
Sort of like when you have to put new tyres and innertubes on pushbikes. Sometimes the tyres are a bit small.
Use a spoon opposite end to press the gasket, saves your fingers

Actually it's the whole unit that was replaced after my very old one died. But the the gaskets in the new unit never fit.
Thank you! 😊
They don’t fit and I’m getting a refund it stupid to send the product without the rubber on. I’m over it
Just double check there is not one already in the blade!!

How to remove it for cleaning without damaging it though. The gunk that builds up underneath is nasty.
Mine comes out everytime the problem is making it not falling off
our gasket falls off all the time, do we have a faulty one?
I cang get it, why doesnt it just come with the gasket already installed? Im going to get a new blender. Youve lost a customer
