An Empty Prison [SFM Creepypasta]

- By far the longest and largest project i've worked on ever. I put a lot of effort into this and grinded for hours for the past 3 weeks. I tried my best to find a good looking prison map with a lot of floors, but I really couldn't find one, so it might be a little scuffed, but I hope it doesn't ruin the environment of the creepypasta too much. Anyways I hope you enjoy this video.
The audio is not originally mine, it belongs to CreepyPastaJr

Soldier is actually canonically a lawyer in the tf2 story so i like that you made a lawyer using his player model
@Tigran-Abazyan never really read the comics, but i think he just convinced the court that he was a real lawyer and used a lamp for some reason.
Did you know that you’re a sinner? But did you know that Jesus loves you and He can change that, all you have to do is believe that He died on the cross and rose from the grave 3 days later, repent, and accept God into your life, it’s your choice, Jesus loves you..
@@MostrandomM_toexisttoday What does that have to do with Soldier being canonically in the tf2 comics????
@@BrOkEnboilergaming ive seen this guy in other videos I'm generally convinced he's a bot.
@@DeathTheDestroyer-vh4lu thx for the info

The legend has returned

FR, speaking nothing but, FAX
its like a christmas morning when a new video pops up, and even greater if its a long one. i really love watching these
I think this 'creature' actually represents starvation, the prison in OP's story is a presentation of the modern prison system where prisoners are treated less than humans and only there to exist until they get released. Since Kellen didn't exist because at the end the OP told so, all the stories of the ghost from Kellan (which the story seemed off or out of place to me from the beginning) is fake and made up and that includes the prisoners seeing the creature from the narrator himself, they were screaming due to them starving to death, the reason was guards were being layed off on mass and returned days later due to the company that owns the prison undergoing bankruptcy.
TLDR: A prisoner made up a story about a ghost and a nice-guard named kellen after he was heavily traumatized and dehumanized by staying at a prison, which the company that owns it went into a process of bankruptcy, thus he and 200+ prisoners began starving due guards being layed off and not coming back days later after floors or blocks had starved to death.
Then he and his 3 other friends began going insane after 11 days of starvation, which they survived by staying still, due to the disbursement company forgetting they exist or are still in there, and only had noticed their mistake after 11 days from the prison's closing.
This comment would be good if you didn't say "OP" 💀☠️💀☠️ redditor
Good theory 👍
How would you explain the guard saving the 2 guys from the 4th floor
@@keithharrissuwignjo2460Probably due to the two going absolutely insane from starvation and was taken to the side as 'punishment' for being disobedient which led to the guard either getting laid off or fired due to the mishandling of the situation
@@DiamondG489makes sense thanks man
It is actually scary to think that I actually live near Pembina Prison. No wonder why people say the prisons and hospitals in North Dakota stink.
Think you could snag a picture of the ghost for us?
@@jaysanders92524 hours lmao
I am definitely not going to prison just to get a photo of a ghost!
@@Ba5Apostrophei could
ive lived in ND for 7 years and ive heard stories about Pembina Prison but never this creepypasta
"To all the people confused about Kellen: I read it as Kellen never existing and being just a coping mechanism to preserve some of their humanity. At least someone cared about them. But take that last paragraph and remove Kellen and reverse all the things he says, and I think that decodes it pretty well.
Kellen never existed. We did not have a friend among the guards, and it was all bad. I was traumatized by the hell I went through being left to rot and left to die as nothing more than a number on some corporation's books."
-Somebody else theory
but then how did we hear this story cuz unless it was all on paper
(ok that can be what it is cuz we do know he has some and a pencil)
and if its 100% in his mind how can the other guards see him and talk to him?
@danielmeers7166 and how did he move 2 prisoners to a different cell?
@@Swordsoulreaver not kellen who did that
@@trolledfordrip He initially moves 2 prisoners to the 5th floor, but the nightguard moves them back down and even says "What was kellen thinking?"
@@Swordsoulreaver i was thinking of the nightguard when you said that my bad but yes kellen did move them first
Some may call it cheesy, corny, or outright stupid, but I like TF2 SFMs of creepypastas.
It's not because it's a masterpiece or amazing, but it's just funny to see TF2 characters put into these ridiculously bad creepy pasta situations.
It's fun to watch.
It is also amazing though
Honestly Heavy would just break em out, fight that ghost while scout records and eggs him on, and Sniper calls his Mum and Dad
In reality they would kick some creepy ass
There’s a sort of amateurish flare to it tbh. It’s so contrasting seeing silly TF2 characters act out a creepypasta that’s meant to be scary.
to add on to my comment, heres my exact lines
"Hey fatty, GO GET EM!"
"YOU ARE BABY! BABY GHOST!"
"Yea, Mum? I got out. Technicality, I know, I know."
Kellen is the goat🐐
Literally, the guy didn't even quit his job
@@Zipperskull_real to the end
Ikr he even risked his life for his job
unfortunately kellen never existed (in the original story, it turned out in the end that kellen was just a coping mechanism for the main character)
oddly that detail is left out in this version
30 minutes man.... your effort is unparalleled in this medium of creepypasta storytelling. Thank you so much.
Fr
@Thewhiskers45 thx haha
These animations are so nostalgic, wholesome and creepy at the same time.
A fantastic recreation to this creepypasta. A wonderful job despite some limits.
But you did your best here.
Wonder what will you recreate next? Or work on next? We'll just have to see for ourselves.
Although I do have some imaginations on what creepypasta I would like to see recreated.
I personally hope Plant does another Mr Nightmare one, LOVE when he does those.
@@TheRealClaylex Yeah. It would be kinda short, but easy for them to work on. Unless it's one of Mr Nightmare's old Creepypastas.
I personally hope he does a wendigo creepypasta
What was the original called if this was a recreation
@@Bulbasaur617 The Trailer is a classic and I could totally see it animated
I find myself listening to tales like these from your channel while doing other things. Creepy, horrifying, spine-chilling, they're all pretty good stories. However, I'd say the scariest part of this one is that damn light in the tower. A lot of what's in this one is good. I just find it funny (even if it is annoying from an animator's perspective) to see that damn light going ballistic in the middle of a yard scene
I use sfm and f some lights on the maps some of them for me keep flashing blue or red
i mean if they "raised a ruckus and no one cared" and theres only 3 of them forgotten by the system, he could've just let them out
We can all agree that the worst part, is when it ended.
I hope nobody is like "oh why would you watch this just go listen to the audio".
The visuals, even if its just tf2 characters, help me enjoy these creepy storys even more; they allow me to be more easily immersed in the story.
Thanks so much for making me lose sleep tonight!
The demon can be seen as a metaphor for the narrator's own hunger and feel of slow death of starvation and rotting alone in his cell, kellen can be seen as the narrator's hope that he will get out and the friendship he has created there from what happened is they closed the prison and left few prisoners behind to starve to death for 11 days until this mistake was found and corrected and no one cared in the end that they were held there for 11 days.
yeah but how did the gaurds know kellen? Or see the Demon?
@@loomingdeath1758 Hallucinations, Kellen is basically made up person the narrator created.
@@Pancombine18 But it doesn't explain how the Night shift guard knew Kellen and said what he said.
That was the best horror story ive ever heard. Even with sfm graphics, i felt scared, the vibe was always uneasy
I absolutely love the switch-up of how them being on the top floor went from feeling like a safe haven as they were dead last before everyone else, to the dread that they were the only ones left... beautifully made story
I'm gonna be honest, while this video isn't on the level of some of the other SFM animators, this creepypasta was legitimately the most terrifying shit I've ever watched in the last 5 minutes of it.
I don't like the ending because the intro doesn't make sense either way but holy God, seeing those everything happen and get progressively worse was legitimately insane. It was so terrifying I had a nightmare on it like 10 minutes ago, I'm not kidding it's like 5 am.
You did a very job making everything feel real even with base tf2 assets, this was absolutely terrifying.
The simplicity of these and the use of TF2 models makes it strangely nostalgic
Oh God... I listened to this story a little while back... I still remember how horrifying it was at the end, gut wrenching and heart aching.
I don't get what it is, but when a creepypasta is told with sfm for the visuals, it becomes 100x more entertaining
Few things that cross my mind anytime I watch or listen to this story.
1.) It's incredibly well written for a horror story and is one of my favorites.
2.) *IF* this story is true, I hope all 4 men involved by the end got the closure they so desperately needed.
3.) *IF* this story is true, can't the author technically sue the judge for a biased sentence; one which also resulted in damages and distress, the men could then sue North Dakota for negligence that resulted in distress and damages (As they stopped hearing cases from the prison due to all the transfers), and the disbursement company for malpractice that resulted in distress and damages for not checking to see if the prison was truly empty and wrongfully terminating Kellen without a proper inspection or review?
4.)*IF* this story is true, and the men could sue the above listed parties, they would have a strong/airtight case as there were multiple parties that witnessed the events recounted in the story.
If anyone practices law in North Dakota and is listening to/heard of/or saw this story, please let me know in replies if the above are valid, running under the assumption that this is all real.
Maybe they did....its a creepy pasta and no one cared if they suffered....
genuinely one of the best critiques of the modern prison system i've seen. incredible work on both parts. wow.
This is excellent. I've watched all of your SFMs, and nothing displays how much you've improved over time like this one. It was a joy to watch and, unlike most other creepypastas, legitimately freaked me out. Absolutely amazing work
This channel is underrated. I have no clue why this hasn’t blown up since the exploring the abandoned school one, but man I just love this content.
don’t worry guys, the last three prisoners were freed actually, after 11 days of trauma.
This is really funny because a few weeks ago I listened to the original of this story and was thinking that it would be a perfect one to be animated like this. And behold, you have delivered me a great gift!
Good story, horrifying to think about, and god tier animation.
As someone born, raised, and still lives in North Dakota, this story hits way too close to home.
Honestly the animation's quality is what got me coming back
Fantastic work Plant; this is just impeccable. The mixture of sfm and creepy pasta fills the tiny niche in my heart that there’s almost nothing else for. You’ve just gotten better and better; this was such a joy. Great work again!
Even if the animation is simple, it's really well done
One of my favourite creepypastas. I remember listening to the original when I was a lot younger and my dad let me visit his workplace. You nailed the recreation
this was the very first Creepypasta I ever listened too, and it was the birth of an addiction strong for about 8 years now, I love Creepypasta and I never knew I needed this in my life, this is fantastic.
This creepypasta is a classic! I always love coming back to it every year.
#spoilers for this SFMs story but
If I remember the story correctly in its context: Everything about this story happened BUT Kellen was made up in the narrator's head. Either what the narrator saw messed him up so badly or the fact the literal government sent him and several other prisoners into an empty prison. Either or regarding both scenarios probably caused his mind to make him up to try to keep himself sane.
wow that is endlessly messed up
@@arandomthingintheabyss2062 Its amazing even IRL the things your mind will do to keep yourself alive/sane.
Wait so everything including that demon was real but Kellen wasn't?
@@TheRealClaylex ya like the entire when it really really cold you suddenly start feeling warm tho that becouse it makes you go insaine so it a bad example but you get what i meant
@@The_Breadman Could possibly be!
Or possibly the demon wasn’t real and the narrators mind broke and he imagined it before he got out
Man i adore a good creepypasta with an intense ending like that, sad though that we didn't get to find out what happened to the other two remaining souls....but man. That was good
This is too damn underrated.I was on a the edge of my seat the whole time.10/10 keep up the good work
you have no idea how excited i got when i saw this notification on my feed, i’ve loved this story for years and you’ve really done it justice
no way man, you did an outstanding job animating this one!
What a fantastic story. Glad to see it animated! This is something great for sure.
These sfm creepypastas are really well made, great job dude.
I haven't listened to any creepypasta in a long while, but I did listen to the original creepypasta straight from the source you used. Amazing work, good sir.
SFM Creepypasta content on youtube is so scarce, and plant here does it perfectly. I can't wait for what future content plant has in store.
Man the story is something new and refreshing, the ending was pretty aight too.
The top floor went to being the only floor safe from it to the only floor left for it. That’s terrifying
You need to keep going with these really well designed animations; honestly you are quite skilled at this and I know you're gonna just become better and better each time you do them man. I love hearing this stuff from you're channel when I'm playing Team Fortress 2 or just relaxing and it's nice so thank you and keep it up at you're own pace.
Nibba said you're two times 🤡💀
nibba? Don’t you mean ni-
That was amazing, So glad your around to make these amazing renditions!
One of my all time favorite creepypastas, I’m so so happy to see it remade here haha
YOOOO THANK YOU! YOU'RE AMAZING! (I was the one who requested an empty prison and i'm so happy with this. Thank you! If you are reading this.
This was a DELIGHT~.
I have such a big smile on my face right now as I write this. Thank you so much for adapting this story into an animation~.
Absolutely beautiful man, you've got some bearings to be able to make an animation that'ss 30 minutes long.
This is the first time I've commented on any one of your videos, and my god is it for a good reason. I've been re-listening to this exact creepypasta once a couple of months and seeing an animation of it pop up in my recommendations took me by absolute surprise this morning. Haven't even started watching the video but I know it'll be good.
Edit : There were only three small mistakes I noticed, at 20:10 it was supposed to be the prisoner that was hitting the bars as a distraction, and at 20:53 it was the guard that said "Mary Mother of Christ", not the prisoner. Also it would've been better if you used a different model for the red ghost since it was described as a rotting woman by the two priests, and it was the entire floor that was turning red, not just a light coming from the ghost's eyes. Then again, creative liberty is a thing and overall this video was of good quality so I can't really complain too much about these small inconsistencies. Good job on this one. 👍
great job ! also I recommend using other kinds of human models for sfm like left 4 dead, half life, even stuff from the workshop
I know it’s a scary story, but the mercs in a scary situation is kinda hilarious
@@Federalprison6 lol, yeah, though i don't think it ruins the scary mood
half life would be best, it's eerie, dystopian, and moat gmod maps use the models and textures, and that already makes them disturbing
@@weaponized_toaster never played it but from what i've seen, yeah looks cool
@@cappedminer369 u rlly should
You also deserve more recognition, and I have seen from previous animations your sfm skills are getting a lot better
I love animated, creepy pasta, recipes type the ones with the team fortress two characters. Don't stop making these love this
These are keeping one of my favorite UA-cam genres alive that being sfm creepy pastas nobody makes these anymore and it’s sad
30 minute animation!?! Keep up the amazing work buddy.
I like how Plant used Soldiers model as a lawyer, since it is lore accurate.
its like a christmas morning when you drop a new vid, pure perfection
Learning from lazy purples experience, I really appreciate you making these sfm movies
I was just looking for a video to watch while I eat, and plant drops another banger.
Honestly might be one of your best animations so far
Love these videos, always a joy to see creepypastas animated. If I may ask, would you potentially look into creepy pasta called the First Settlements. It has about 8 different parts, with a reading of them done by a channels called Dark Somnium. It is quite a good one, although a bit long for each part (Full series is 5 hours).
I'm loving your creepypasta animations! I've seen an improvement across your vids and it's always a great night when you upload.
A new sfm creepypasta? AND around 30 minutes?! YESSIR
theory: "kellen" wasn't actually a guard. he was the monster. their memories are probably fuzzy, or kellen was the ghost, which would make sense. in the morning, kellen was just a normal guard, a normal nice guard. but at night, he IS the monster that roams the halls, the cells. he's the new guard right? it was probably for him to blend in and find out the prisoners cells. and where they mostly hid. kellen most likely made himself as an illusion for all of them. like in the original story, op said kellen was not real.
This is one of my favorite Creepypastas. Thank you for making this so much.
Hey Man, you remind me of me when i first started so I would like to give you some tips
1. Use more lights - i find the lighting to be quite inconsistent, sometimes you only use maps default lights which won't make your scene look to great, sometimes the scene is incredibly bright, way to dark or looks odd, using lights will also allow you to cast shadows which will make your scene look better
2. Use the camera setting like aperture, it blurs the background allowing your characters to be in focus and doesn't make the other parts of your scene become to distracting
3. Render settings - I noticed at some parts I could see these black dots, this happens if you haven't set the render settings properly for example make sure samples are set, don't use camera settings and I would recommend rendering as an image sequence as each frame will be high quality that way. Probably add to render time but will be worth it
4. Try to have your moving in some way - I noticed you might only move a character a little bit if its required, the characters always need to be moving even if just breathing or they look like mannequins that suddenly move
hope this helps
Thanks for the tips and i'll be sure to incorporate them into my future videos.
Also be sure to recompile the map to hdr lighting. Some of the scenes in this video made me thinking u just took a map which doesnt have hdr lighting and just clicking the enable/disable lighting twice.
Edit: and try to use the spline tangent in the graph editor.
how did they survive 11 days without water
they sucked it from the bricks 💀
I think I've watched this video like 5 times already that's how good it is, you need to make some more amazing stuff like this!
these animations make the stories so much scarier than anything I could visualize.

Dude your sfm animation has improved dramatically keep up the great work
This animation is unique, though if I had heard about this creepypasta way before your animation variant of it, I would have felt very bad but I'm happy you did a nice thing to it with scout on his bed
[Spoiler to plot for the people that hasnt seen this btw] It's like in my story of the animation: After 11 days, after the last few prisoners that were found in the prison somehow alive, taken out and other helpful care on what they went through, they got sent to their places and for the ending of Scout, he managed to get back home but after what he had went through, he will need a lot of mental help on what happened to him, though he is thankful to be alive..
