Brought this grown man in his 40's to tears by 40 seconds in (no the original doesn't hit me like that) and i am not the least ashamed to admit it. To me it's proof of the artistry before us. Thank you Summer, thank you 🙏
I started listening to you when you started covering Tool, and I was floored by that performance. You outdo that here ten fold. Simply perfect. I’ll be listening to this for a long time to come.
I would beg for more covers, but that would seem desperate, so I'll ask kindly... please make more covers. I love your unique additions to guitar parts, like your flamenco inspiration in the sober cover. You inspire me to play and sing more
Great to see kids / young adults playing this kind of music, hope they are also writing original, meaningful stuff, as music is truly a powerful natural experience.
Just when I think my soul is dead again, you drop another gem, lol. The songs you choose are incredibly challenging, both technically and emotionally. But you make them seem so simple and fresh. Thank you.
This song is literally the soundtrack of my life. Such is that I've got "if I can't be my own I'd feel better dead" on my right arm. I'm just telling this so you know how important this song is for me. Anyway, I am a musician myself and I can say from all my heart you are such an amazing artist. The way you translate emotions and feelings through your voice and playing is very unique and special. Keep spreading your voice and art because the world is in need of that. Best regards from Brazil.
Thank you so much Daniel. I actually didn’t know the song before so many people requested it, and now I understand why. It was such a moving song that it took me many takes to sing it without crying. Thanks again for your comment! Best wishes from USA!
One of the most beautiful standalone versions of this great piece. Great small touches. This is wisdom, I think. And plase, rest in peace dear Layne 🙏🏻
It was! And thank you, I actually didn’t know this song before people requested it and then I started crying and realized why. Haha. I’m glad I know of this beautiful tune now.
Well now.....that was interesting chord voicing choices for that one. Mixing some licks in. Thats the beauty of covers. Taking the music down another road. Nice one.
Thanks so much! Actually, I didn’t know this song before, but I got about a hundred requests for it so I learned it and fell in love. Now I can’t hear it without crying!
You hit the nail on the head with this song selection and this transitional season moving into fall. Your ability to channel other musicians appears to be heightened. Your Root and Crown chakras are vibrating a lot louder along with your 3rd eye being more open. It’s making you give me goosebumps. You know goosebumps turn into feathers when those of us in the light turn into angels? If you desire to adjust the volume of your energies into a more favorable perspective you could try a few remedies. You need sunlight especially the red light from the sunset. It’s extremely efficient if you make sure to expose the top of your head and face and lower back and feet. You might part your hair in different positions to try to get the red light from the sunset for 5 min, and the face back and feet are easy. Eat food that is fall seasonal food especially pumpkin, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin seeds. If you eat meat, eat red meat like steak or tuna. Blink your third eye bye eating onions, they make your pineal gland cry or tear up little and the tears obscure your visual cortex. I’m serious. You will stop daydreaming as deeply. Light a match and blow it out. The smell will snap you back out of the dreams pulling you into them. Write the word love on a bay leaf and burn it. Love is fundamental.. Eat pasta with walnut and olive oil and have salad made of lettuce, celery, carrots, and whatever else you like a lot. This combination has synergy and produces more energy easier. Fruits including berries and honey will bring the frequency adjustment together. You probably need a B-12 shot and to take B vitamins. Make sure to take a multivitamin. It’s difficult being so sensitive and can feel overwhelming. Just know that you are shining and we see you. You have something that can heal yourself and others. You clearly have the gift. The divine energy of two worlds lives inside of you. That song choice suggests that intense emptiness is chasing you. If that is correct, I promise you are just running from your own shadow. (You know cats avoid their own shadow?..) if you stop running and turn around your might just see God smiling right at you. Or, you’ll probably see some people that have been chasing you. Either way you’ll get to have the light hit your lower back. You might just go dance to divinity in the sunset if you can while you can. When I type peace and love, you will become wide awake. Don’t look at the blue sky too long unless you have time to dream. You are fire! Never surrender. Keep praying. Never stop dreaming big. Peace and love G ;) -Daniel
Wonderful. I also prefer the musical outros with the Patreon rather than the freestyle raps, which usually clash with the musical content that precedes them.
@@gregbell2117Thank you, both of you! I’m planning to put a tutorial out for my version very soon. But it’s in standard tuning, I’m just playing it in B minor instead of the original key.
I've definitely heard a lot about Alice In Chains. The thing is, I've listened to their stuff casually, but as a music lover, I prefer to explore any artist/band by listening to their entire discography from the beginning. For example, I've listened to everything from TOOL (as a huge fan), LZ, Riverside, SOAD to Tchaikovsky, Khachaturian, Pavarotti, Cocker, from U2, Ice Cube, Tiesto, Limp Bizkit to Evora, Gurevich, Cummings, Otis Taylor, etc, etc. But even though I've heard dozens of their works, I think it's worth diving deep and exploring them individually. Of course, Alice In Chains, RATM, Zappa, Hendrix and probably hundreds of them are on my future list. But it seems to be all about time management and how you choose the right path for motivation and mental connection with the current musician :) I just checked what the range of Gen Z is and found out that I was born a few years before that period :) Anyway, I understand what you meant and I won't deny, you're right, I still have a lot to hear and learn, a lot!!
@@BoolFalse during the writing and recording of the band’s 3rd album the lead singer asked a girl to marry him and she said no. And around like 12 of the band’s mutual friend’s died of different causes. So dark. So beautiful.
