It’s clear how much music means to your lives and how our family connections, personal struggles and happy memories forge certain albums into our brains and our hearts. It’s nice hearing of you bonding with your dad, grandad, brother over certain albums. That’s what makes music precious, regardless of all the other criteria we can debate. Have to admit, finding your channel my first reaction was ‘what do these two Gen Z kids know about music’ - but I’ve been compelled to listen to you talk passionately and eloquently about what you like and why. Music lovers are all ages and it’s heartwarming seeing how much you guys care. Music really matters to people. So I concede I was too quick to judge, my bad. It’d be great to hear you interview artists

@@rudywilliams6538 In what way? ?I like KSG and I don't have a problem with liking mainstream albums. The problem is this dude's list is made up of albums that would be on a Rolling Stones top 100 albums article instead of something that actually appeals to him personally which is what Tyler was talking about. Everybody's making lists trying to be correct and impress people online instead of just being real about what you like
@@someguy4046is it really surprising to you that people like albums that have received acclaim? they've clearly received acclaim for a reason. I think you need to learn a little about minding your business and not judging people for things as innocuous as enjoying popular albums.

Love Deluxe is an unbelievably great album and its the only album by either of you that is in my top 10 of all time. For context I am a 1971 baby. #1 Off the Wall - Michael Jackson (1979). Its as close to perfect as you can get. Pure MJ. #2 What's the 411? - Mary J. Blige (1992). R&B with a hip hop edge. #3 Hard to Earn - Gang Starr (1994). My favorite hip hop album. DJ Premier's production is otherworldly. And Guru's rhymes are so underrated. #4 Love Deluxe - Sade (1992). Bone chilling soul. #5 It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back - Public Enemy (1988). The best hip hop album not named Illmatic. And the best year in hip hop. #6 Crush - Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (1985). I played this to death in 1985/86. Classic new wave/synthpop. #7 Aja - Steely Dan. (1977). Some of the best collection of musicians you will hear on any album. A perfect blend of jazz, rock and soul. #8 Of the Heart, Of the Soul and Of the Cross: The Utopian Experience. PM Dawn (1991) Creatively off the charts. Infectious. #9 Mama Said Knock You Out - LL Cool J (1990). Marley Marl's best production and LL's best vocals. #10 Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin (1975). Rock perfection. And a double dose of it to boot. HM's: Licensed to Ill - Beastie Boys. Reasonable Doubt-Jay Z. Hysteria- Def Leppard. Where I Wanna Be-Donell Jones. Rio- Duran Duran. We Are Family - Sister Sledge.

honestly not surprised. game changing album.
This is probably my favourite video you guys have ever done. I much prefer when you give your personal favourites, rather than what is the "best"
Even then you can smell the pandering. They're still not being honest. Idk any 20 something year olds listening to John Coltrane lol
