freedom of Durham 1999 March off

The Regiment marches off for the last time
A VERY sad day in Regimental history as 7th Battalion The (Durham) Light Infantry exercise the Freedom of Durham,
Band and Bugles of the Burma of the 7th Bn (Durham) Light Infantry and accompanied with the light division
Palace Green, Durham 1:30pm Sunday 25th April 1999
My dad's last parade with 7LI as the regiment was disbanded :(

The best parade I ever took park in, very proud. we marched down the hill and into the history books, and the mayors chamber for a good send off.

Sad but proud to see my old regiment march into history. I paraded there in 1978 when the regiment received new Colours.
