Supposedly 3002 from what I was told which is now stored in Stuart Mesa has had all the side panels removed on the engineers side. One has been removed on the conductors side.
Awesome catches Michael! with 3002 retired early 3001 is still active just not running at the moment. hope 3001 gets preserved to!
I like it so much your video of Coaster F59PHI’s because #3001 and #3002 have great K5LA’s and always my favorite locomotives!🥰🥰🥰
The nostalgia I get from this train is unreal. Really starting the hunt for a model version of this train for my house.
RIP F59s they served the USA well also the begining of the video it almost sounded like it was sad :
At least 3001 happens to still be running, I saw it a few times already recently
Really I haven't seen 3001 I assume it was already retired
great catch and video of these coasters of a look back of these units
Looking back Coaster F59PH-Is!
RIP 3002 retired early, and I heard 3001 may be a yard switcher.
thats good that 3001 at least will still run
Coaster actually changed 3001 to be used until 2024 for service :)
@@United1158 Yes. 3001 is still around.
@@JARAMOS1224 They're both still in service.
Super film Michael, sad that these iconic locos will go to the cutters torch. Well done 🤓 stay safe 💙
Is Coaster F59PHI’s Going To Have The Last Days?
@@osch53 wrong. 3001 is in storage. 3001 can still run and is not retired yet.
@@ROTE So can 02. I've seen them both at least as of August.
Amtrak was the only RR to keep the side skirts as most removed them for fuel saving reasons
@Acerailfan3303 Trackside Those covers on the side of the fuel tanks on the F59PHIs
I was playing at Mission Bay Park Yesterday when I saw a reversed F59PHI passing in revenue service on 10/22/23... What happened?
What About AMT?
Don't worry. Theirs have time left.
I thought the chargers were replacing the F40s not F59PHIs
I always laughed when people would say Coaster is a 90mph commuter railroad. The F59s max out at 83.
No they don't, their top speed is 110.
@@F59PHI not all of them.
This is so sad
Why? Nobody died or anything.
@@notredboi it's sad because these iconic locos are being retired
I guess none will be preserved
