Bad Guy - Baritone Saxophone Cover

Given only a baritone saxophone, you want to cover Bad Guy by Billie Eilish, how would it sound like?
I debated a long while if I should cover Bad Guy. I like that song, but there are so many great covers out there, what could I possibly add? Then I watched Jacob Collier’s breakdown of “Time Alone With You” ( • LOGIC SESSION BREAKDOW... ) where he talked about the varispeed technique: Record at a slower tempo, play at normal speed. This pitches up the vocals and makes them sound more “female”. I immediately thought I want to try this out with the baritone. Hence, this arrangement was born.
The arrangement is based on the version by TooManyZooz ( • Too Many Zooz - Bad Gu... ) with the transcription by logan feece ( • Too Many Zooz - Bad Gu... ). See his video for the note sheets.
Effects used (Cubase 9.5 Pro):
Bass: recorded three times, panned full left, full right, and center. The center track is passed through an Amp Simulator with distortion and octaver. An EQ filters out the high end.
Humming (bass harmonization): three tracks. Nothing special, a lot of reverb
Verse: three tracks for the triads, EQ to remove the low end and add high end. Three additional tracks for the upper octave were recorded at half speed and then played at normal speed
Chorus (sung melody): recorded twice with an octave apart. No other effects
“Dah”: no extra effects. A show-off of overtone glissandi
Synth: Recorded at half speed, EQ removes high and low end. Recorded very close to the mic
Kick Drum, banging on the bari case: octaver + strong tube compressor + strong envelope shaper + a bit of saturation
Snare 1, nails against the horn: EQ with low cut and high boost, strong compression
Snare 2, throwing the reeds: just massive compression
Hi-Hat, scratching over the horn: EQ with low cut from 2kHz, high boost. no compression
For all tracks:
Reverb: REverence with the Dutch Concert Hall 1a preset, different strengths for each group
A bit of compression on each group individually.
