    Really thoughtful activities! Do you have a favourite playdough DIY/brand? Does your daughter like water play? My 2 yr old is most interested in this and I struggle for ideas to extend it (other than washing up/washing toys). I'm thinking about perhaps setting up a tray of water with fruit slices and tongs for fishing out.

      Hi Louise. Thanks so much! The playdough I am using right now is from My Wee Folk & also Little blossoms playdough on Etsy. Both UK Stores. They are both fabulous. Little blossom has the most delicious scents. 😍 yes my little one and mindees have always loved water play. I used to do foam activities in the garden, also you can do spring and summer themed ones with spring flowers for her to mix and fish out. Can use tongs and scoops and even pipettes to make the play more challenging and interesting. I like to add weird and wonderful scoops like spatulas and all sorts of random things to make the play more interesting. You can add different sized bottles, jars and cups for pouring such as test tubes and perfume/scent bottles (these types of things you can find on places like eBay) and also do different coloured water play for colour mixing. I did an activity a few times over which was really popular where I filled milk bottles with different coloured water and they mixed and poured and made different potions and concoctions. Obvs have to be supervising hard as there was glass involved. We did it outside naturally.🤣 Hope that helps. Xxx

    Do you do a toy rotation?

    • @ThisFamilyThing
      @ThisFamilyThing  3 роки тому

      I do a toy rotation yes but a lot of things stay out like our loose parts and open ended materials. I tend to rotate books and add materials that are specific to something we are learning such as flower cards for example if we are learning about flowers. As an example. X
