25 years ago I used to sing this song in high school. Last year August at 3.00am, the Holy Spirit dropped this song in my heart. I was facing the most difficult time in my life. The storms were raining hard all around me. It seemed there was no way out..I sang this song back to back almost 10 times in my living room with tears from the depth of my heart. 3 months later, the Lord delivered me out of my bondage and repayed me back double for my trouble. Today as I face this sturborn demon of sickness in my daughters life, I am reminded that he who did it yesterday will do it again today. Oh the blood that gives her strength from day to day, it will never loose its power.
Thank you for this Testimony. We are going through a very same situation right now and the Holy Spirit put this song in my heart and continuously I have Been singing the first verse and chorus unconsciously when suddenly I realized there were other verses too so I looked up UA-cam and came across this complete song and your testimony which confirms to me what the Holy Spirit desires me to do. Thank you very much. Thank you, dear Holy Spirit.
Let's honest brothers and sisters the old gospel songs sound much better than today gospel songs today gospel song (2010 - 2021) is more about myself making name and making money.
The Lord Jesus calls us to be converted. As long as our Christianity is based on money, it will disintegrate to worldliness! That's where we are. We have no church on this earth that teaches the professed Christian how to live by the word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). Our only recourse is to run to Jesus in the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly sanctuary, by faith! We need His faith. No other will do. For He must be the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 KJV)!
We used to sing this song in church nearly every Sunday when I was growing up. As I read Psalm 25 this morning, I just had to sing it. It's such a powerful song. I trust in You Lord!
It was a favourite in our church, back home, as well, back in the 80s. I'm Canadian by the way, and from a Salvation Army background. I truly, do not like most modern worship. Far, far, too, hip-hop influenced, and far, far, too, hyped up, as well. All about getting off on the music and rhythm and not enough about entering into a True Spirit of Worship. We had hymns, back in the day, that would utterly, wreck me emotionally, but that was usually, the beginning of the Moving of the Spirit. Crying is not always, a bad thing you know. Emotion is the Truest Connection to God that there is. If you feel nothing, then you have gotten nowhere in worship. Agreed?! Warmest Wishes. Out.
My husband and I were Hippies 101, as Barry McGuire used to say. We were saved in the Jesus Revolution in 1971 and 72. This was a song we sang frequently in the coffeehouse we were involved in. It never loses its power because it is His Word!!!
i recorded this in 1999 on a cassette tape, the whole side, the other side was thy word by Amy Grant.. and then i played and listened on a sony walkman.... im blessed, thank you Lord for giving gifted singers and composers based on scriptures , i hope to those watching and listening will touch their lives..
My mother and my 2 aunts, plus 2 siblings and 8 cousins used to go camping in the mid 1970s and we would sing this song (and many others). This brought back memories that are very special to me. Thanks and God Bless.
I was reading Ps. 25: 1-11 this morning and realized I was singing this song! It flows out of these verses. How many scriptures I remember from the songs we used to sing back when I came to the Lord in 1972 at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa CA. Thank you for posting this. And the comments are lovely!
I accepted the LORD at CCCM in 1975! While reading this morning, PSALM 25.1 I immediately began to sing away! I miss these songs, and I often put them on my PRIME music and drift back to the simplicity of worship. SEE YOU ALL SOON IN OUR REAL HOME!
Imagine long haired Jesus people who couldn't think of a way to worship that was better than the ways of Moses and David. We used to sing so many Scripture songs that we forgot the old hymns- some of which needed to be remembered, by the way.
Amen!! Praise the Lord! My husband discovered this song on a Christian radio station a few years ago! Ever since then, we’ve both been hooked! It sings the Word of God! Beautiful! 😍🙌🏻
Hearing this song for the first time right now in 2024 and it's really uplifting me❤. Father GOD let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me🙏
I agree and keith green and others took scripture when it came to the songs they wrote what's missing I think you can agree with me is that most of them don't use scripture
Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
So sad, sometimes I really wonder what kind of music we get to hear nowadays? I'm glad the Holy Spirit keeps bringing me back to these old spiritually filled songs! These are indeed the ancient words laid up for all generations to come, may the Holy Spirit always lead us back to them
This is a song I have loved since I first heard it over twenty years ago. The humility and repentance it offers, the trust... Nothing compares! It leaves one with a feeling of being really loved by God.
"Unto Thee O Lord" is one of my favorite songs from my youth in 1980s until today. Scripture songs have been the best food to my mind. Thank you Lord. Bless Maranatha singers. ❤ from Indonesia
Thank you God. Thank you Jesus Christ. Thank you Holy Spirit. Thank you God for Jesus, your son. Thank you God for the Holy Spirit. Thank you God for everything, all things, anything, everything.
All the essentials of life with God are here. Trusting in God, living victoriously, waiting on God, walking in the sacred path, and accepting forgiveness.
I haven't heard this song in years, but I've been drawn to Psalms 25 since last week. At first, I didn't remember the song, but I woke up singing this song this morning. Oh my goodness, I was probably 12 or 13 since I heard this song at church camp. It's so beautiful 🙏🏽❤
Praise You Lord Jesus. Psalm 25 is such comfort to both old and young, and great encouragement! I first learned this song in 1975 fellowshipping with a local charismatic house church group in Eastern N. C. Not a few of us had recently been saved out of the drug culture...we would meet nightly in different homes for Bible study and worship cappella with Scripture songs. One of my all time favorites. Thanks for posting...brings back great memories of my early days in Christ.
Home gatherings have a special closeness that you just do not get in the church gatherings. Your home church groups are very reminiscent of what the early church did, received teaching from the word, blessed koinonia fellowship and close personal care and prayer.
Forgive me O Lord for my foolishness, let me run far away from temptations, let me not be ashamed. Remember the sins of my youth, let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me
Wow. Although I know this song as sang acapella, this version was just as beautiful. The singing was not drowned out by the instruments. Thank you for sharing your beautiful singing for us to enjoy.
Before CD's came out cassette tapes were still out I can remember I think listening to this on someone's cassette tape wow what an awesome song praise and worship have come along way most of your non denominational churches hardly sing songs like this anymore
Unto thee oh Lord do I lift up my soul. Lord don't let me be a shame. Not the enemy say ah ah! he's got me. Not my life go down in disgrace but let my life be lifted up with your grace and my life be a testimony of your power and strength.
40 years ago, this song was as powerful as it still is. Reason? Its scripture based. Something we have lost today with our gospel singers
Not only is it scripture based, it is KJV scripture based. We have been stripped of the KJV Bible! The Protest is indeed over! Have mercy, Lord Jesus!
❤❤❤

Be encourage. God has not stopped working miracle! He still answers prayers (Luke 18, Mark 11: 22,23) may help your faith.

I sang this song to the Lord with a cassette tape as a baby Christian in 1995. Praise Jesus Christ!!!
I listened to it on cassette in the mid 80’s as a college freshman. I was saved, but not yet Spirit filled. Just religious.
I was older but remember it with great fondness. The beautiful Psalm 25 set to music....Hallelujah!
Yes, we sang this at our church over 40 years ago. Timeless. Thank you, Lord. Worship needs to be ushering us into His presence.
Heard it about 20 years ago, but our sabbath school lesson, based on psalms, bringed me here again ✊️🙏
Same, Happy sabbath friend
Brings back beautiful memories from when I was first saved! I sing this during my time with God in the morning.
This song has uplifted me and has reminded me to keep on trusting in God for he never fails.

Me too, Rebeklim....now 73 years..still blessed this guy.
Back when Christian song writers quoted Scripture in their songs. Something has gone out of worship music since then...
@cult Watch 😂😂 it's true tho
I Love Jesus Amen to that!

This morning, I share in your testimony of this song, Celestine.
Ever so true. The word of God in a song. Singing the word
So tired today, spirit, soul and body. Crying out to GOD for His overwhelming strength.
Our GOD loves us greatly that's why Jesus died on the cross . He does not want people to perish but to repent and choose him .
Praise the Lord
We should always lift our hearts to the Lord
